What an amazing team of staff. They are all so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for any one of them. The manager is amazing and always has time to speak to you when you visit. All the carers are so committed to their role. Even the cleaning staff and the laundry staff are cheery and
helpful unfortunately I cannot comment on the catering staff as I have never come into contact with them. Orchard Homes should be proud of the commitment and service their employees at Langfield give to residents and families and I wish there was a way to get them rewarded for their remarkable work.

To all the staff at Langfield care home,
It's been one year since my wife was admitted to Langfield care home, I cared for her since 2015 when she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I was managing till three years ago that’s when it started to get difficult, she started to have mood changes and cognitive
issues. It was the hardest thing I had to do. We have been married for 54 years although I wanted to keep her at home with me I realised I was struggling, in the end, my daughter and sister-in-law told me I had to put her into care for her own sake and mine, it was making me ill so I took their advice. I could not thank the staff enough for looking after my wife and keeping her safe and preserving her dignity while caring for her. I would also like to thank the managers, for their welcome and help. I would recommend Langfield care home it is very clean and very professional by the management and all the staff.

Leaving a loved one in a care home can be extremely daunting, but Langfield Care Home turned out to be the best decision I ever made for my husband, who was suffering from short term dementia (as well as a few other issues) and sadly passed away recently. He lived there for almost three years and we
found that the staff were always welcoming and go out of their way to make residents feel happy and safe. My husband had a very special rapport with the manager and he enjoyed her company and their amusing banter on a daily basis. All of the staff worked above and beyond my expectations, including taking the time to sit and talk to individual residents. The atmosphere is relaxed and the manager always had an open door policy, enabling relatives to speak to her about any concerns or just to sit and chat. I would have no hesitation in recommending Langfield and hope to keep in contact with my husband's 'angels' for many more years.

My mum resided at Langfield for 20 months until February 2023. I spent a considerable amount of time there leading up to mum’s passing and I have nothing but respect for the staff. They treat all residents with kindness, dignity and respect adapting to their individual needs and the obstacles they face.
They also maintain a sense of humour making their working environment a happy place to be for all. Events were always celebrated ie: special birthdays or commemorative dates around the world with parties, entertainers and fundraising. It was a pleasure to visit mum and be greeted by welcoming staff and well-cared-for residents. Can’t recommend it enough.

Mum lived in Langfield for five and half years. The care she received was excellent. Mum had dementia but always had a smile for the staff. She once said I love being here with all my nieces. She thought the staff were family, which in a way they were. There were singsongs in the lounge which mum used
to join in enthusiastically. The meals were always good too. All the staff are very caring, friendly and approachable. They were extremely supportive to my family and I when mum was on end of life. Thank you to you all at Langfield. Mum couldn’t have lived in a better care home.

Mum has recently passed away after being a resident in Langfield Care Home for five and a half years. My family and I never expected mum to survive the length of time she did. We truly believe it is mostly down to the top-class care, compassion and love they have for each and every resident.
The staff
worked tirelessly through Covid, and through flu and viral infections each year. Never fails to amaze us with their strength and determination to enrich each and every resident's life.
They treat our loved ones like one of their own family members and ensure only the best of care is given to them each and every day.
We know Langfield staff will continue to be totally committed to caring for the elderly and vulnerable in the Community of Middleton. Mum was truly cherished.

Recently, when our dad became poorly, we searched for somewhere our mum could stay, to give him chance to recover. He is her full-time carer and where she has her weekly comfort days couldn't fit her in until December. My sister came across Langfield Care Home and spoke on the phone to the manager at
length, about our mum's needs. The same day, I dropped in for a visit and was overwhelmed by the caring and supportive nature of all the staff I spoke to. They were able to accommodate our mum for almost a week, during which time we were able to phone regularly for updates about how our mum was doing. She had a fantastic time there, while our dad was able to rest and only have himself to look after. We are indebted and incredibly grateful to all the staff at Langfield, who not only cared meticulously for our mum but enabled our dad to stop and take the time for him, with the peace of mind that mum was being looked after by such lovely caring staff. Many thanks! She will certainly be back.

Although I only submitted a review in February 2022, I wanted to further praise the staff at Langfield Care Home for the care and effort everyone put into making my Mum's 100th Birthday such a special and memorable occasion for her and the immediate family earlier this month.

My mother has been a resident at the home for almost two years. The care and support she has received have been excellent, and we could not be happier with the way the staff look after her. Because of the pandemic, we were unable to visit her for over 12 months, but we were always kept up to date with
what was happening with her, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were able to stay in touch. Once we were able to start visiting we were able to see firsthand how caring and respectful the staff are towards their residents, and how spotlessly clean and tidy the home is. We know our mother is now safe and happy and is really well looked after by all the staff, and we feel a lot happier knowing this. Many, many thanks to all of the staff.

My stepmother is very happy and content in their dementa wing, and receives the care needed to enjoy her life as best she can.

My mother has been a resident at Langfield for almost two years, right through the pandemic. It couldn’t have come at a worse time for us, but from the very beginning, the staff made us feel confident that she was being well looked after. We couldn’t visit her for such a long time but we were always
kept informed about her health and general wellbeing. Once we were able to visit we saw immediately that this is a place where the staff take pride in their work. The home is clean, the staff are really pleasant and caring, clearly know each resident, and always treat them with the dignity they deserve. They have lifted a huge burden from us, allowing us to enjoy our time with her without worry. We can’t thank them enough.

My father in law has been resident at the home for 18 months, during which time we have made regular visits and more recently have stayed at the home every day as he has been at the end of life.
The care he has received has been outstanding and way beyond the call of duty from all staff. Caring, patient
and kind. We loved the way that the staff joked and talked to him.
We also saw that this care was given consistently to all residents.
All the care team have been brilliant and given him a life.

My Nan is in Langfield Care home. The care and support from the staff is exceptional. They care about all there residents. The facilities and home cooked meals are excellent. My nan is settled in there and enjoys the company of the other residents.
