My father in law has been resident at the home for 18 months, during which time we have made regular visits and more recently have stayed at the home every day as he has been at the end of life.
The care he has received has been outstanding and way beyond the call of duty from all staff. Caring, patient and kind. We loved the way that the staff joked and talked to him.
We also saw that this care was given consistently to all residents.

All the care team have been brilliant and given him a life.

The home is lovely and clean.

The staff are very friendly and reliable and great with my dad. Excellent care and a spotless care home. The best one he's been in. I would recommend this home very highly.

My Nan is in Langfield Care home. The care and support from the staff is exceptional. They care about all there residents. The facilities and home cooked meals are excellent. My nan is settled in there and enjoys the company of the other residents.

I turned up at Langfield without a prior appointment and asked to be shown around. I was made very welcome and also received all the info I required. My mother moved into Langfield a short time afterwards and settled in very quickly. She has Alzheimer's but the staff are very caring and Mum enjoys the activities, especially music and dancing. It was a problem to get Mum to eat and drink at home but with a choice of meals she now eats an amazing amount and has put on weight, which she needed to do. I am confident that Mum is safe and being looked after at Langfield which is a huge relief.

I am writing this review not just for the last month but for the last two years. If I ask any member of staff for help in any way at all they immediately do whatever needs doing and they are always very pleasant and courteous. I could not wish for my wife to be in any other home because after visiting many (20+) homes I know we picked the right one. Langfield is a great place. I have never had reason to complain in two years of visiting my wife and I visit her almost every day. The staff (from top to bottom) are fantastic to say the very least. I have already recommended Langfield, not only for the above reasons but because this building is purpose-built for people with health problems and that is another plus. So I will now sign off with a big 'thank you' to all who work and care at Langfield.

In August 2017 my 93-year-old Dad's dementia was getting worse and he was hospitalised due to challenging behaviour and for his own safety and that of others. It soon became clear he wouldn't be going home. I am his only child and live 250 miles away! After two disastrous admissions to another local care home, both of which involved the police being called and him nearly being sectioned, we happened upon Langfield and I met with the then manager. He put me at ease during what was an incredibly stressful time and agreed to meet my dad in the hospital for an assessment, after which he told me he thought Langfield could meet my dad's needs. The rest, as they say, is history. He moved into Langfield in November 2017 and for me, the experience has been hugely positive. The staff are all incredibly friendly, kind and caring. My dad seems very calm and content, even though I don't think he actually knows where he is! LANGFIELD IS A VERY GOOD PLACE.

Thank you, for your glowing review! It’s great to hear that both myself and our team were able to help you, during your stressful ordeal. We work extremely hard to try and ensure that both, our residents and their families are as comfortable and as happy as can be, so hearing this feedback is great.

Kind Regards,

My mother has been in Langfield for 3 years in all that time she has never had a bed sore, even though she is either in a wheelchair, armchair or bed. My mother is nearly 96 and has never been a wanting person and is quite happy to sleep quite a lot, so I don't know whether the activities are for everyone but they do seem to have a good selection of them for those who want them. All the staff are very caring and listen if you do not have a slight grievance which is not very often.

The home is very clean and graded 5, my mother is always well dressed and clean, she never smells even though she is doubly incontinent. The food is not fancy, but wholesome and mostly homemade. Her room is spacious with a toilet and sink (en-suite) I would definitely recommend Langfield.

My mother has been a resident of Langfield Care Home for approx. 2 years. I can honestly say that the staff are lovely. Just one big happy family and always made to feel welcome. My mom had to be admitted to Langfield Care Home due to having quite a few falls. I feel my mom gets treated really well and feel a lot happier knowing that she is being looked after. She gets along with all the staff as do we. But she feels they need to get more permanent staff on nights so they can feel more at ease with them like she does with the day staff.

Although my mom doesn't eat much of the food or get involved in many of the activities from what I see when visiting, they both look really good. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

My husband has been in Langfield almost a year. It has been a very difficult time for us both but the staff have tried to make things as comfortable as possible. The home is bright and welcoming especially the dining/lounge room. The food seems wholesome, looks appetizing and is plentiful. The staff are approachable and any queries or concerns are listened to and usually addressed quickly.

Social events are well organised and the staff do their utmost to make sure these events are enjoyable without pressurising residents to join in if they prefer not to. It would be good to have more regular input from "outsiders" willing to lead exercise or singing sessions to stimulate residents.

My nana received palliative care in langfield, the way she was looked after in their was fantastic. The staff are absolutely wonderful and love and respect every single resident, I know this because myself, my mum and sister spent lots of time here in my Nanna's end of life. My nana was very happy here and was welcomed with open arms by the team of angels that looked after her. The entertainment team are brilliant also, putting on events for residents and how they engage with them to ensure they enjoy themselves. The food is freshly prepared and my nana really enjoyed her meals. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Definitely the best home in Middleton. Keep up the good work.

My sister is quite happy at Langfield she is only 56 but has health care needs. She is treated with dignity and respect, also with understanding as she is only young. I see the other residents treated with care and respect. My only issues are that some nights they are short staffed and have to wait for agency staff to arrive so people cannot be taken to bed or toilet at their request.
