The Registered Manager is Lyndsey Paterson who manages the day-to-day running of the Home. Lyndsey is a Registered Mental Health Nurse who has also completed the level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership Studies. Lyndsey has 6 years experience of working with older people within the nursing home environment.

I Started work at Newlands in 2003, I had never worked in the Care sector before, so I started with a position on the catering side and worked up to head of the catering department. Due to a shoulder injury, I left that position after many years and came onto the clerical side working alongside the home manager in the day-to-day running of the home. It was the best career change 19 years ago I could have made as I have a great passion and respect for the elderly. I have gained a whole wealth of knowledge in the care sector since I started in 2003. I love being able to interact with both residents and families.

I started my career in Pakistan in 1988, I moved on from there to work in Kuwait from 1992-2005 from there I came to the UK in 2005 and have worked in various care homes since then and worked up the ladder to clinical lead which is a position I hold now at Newlands.
I have skills in Mental Health and Dementia, mentorship, 1st line Management I have also worked in a deputy Manager position leading to my current position as clinical lead.

I started at Newlands in 2008 I had never worked in the care sector, and it was a big challenge for me to embrace. Over the years at being at Newlands I have worked through NVQs 2,3,4 completed my Care Certificate worked up to senior carer and then on care manager. I love interacting with all our residents and have great job satisfaction.

I came to Newlands in 2000 as a care assistant I completed my NVQ 2 whilst in this role I worked up to Senior care assistant. Unfortunately, I had to leave my position but returned in 2009 as a kitchen assistant I worked up to cook having gained full knowledge in the catering department and providing a full and varied menu for all dietary requirements. I enjoy this role as much as I did whilst on the care side as I can still have daily contact with our residents

I have over 22 years of experience in various day centre and care home settings working with the elderly and Mental Health specialising in Dementia with a qualification from Sterling University. Every day is different as every resident has varying needs, but we focus on fun interaction and lots of laughter. I work on both groups and 1-1 as necessary so everybody gets to enjoy the activities on offer. I love my job and always say it's coming to work and spending time with my friends.

I am the operations director for the Angel Care/MNS Care group of homes. I qualified as a mental health nurse training in 1991 and as an adult nurse in 1996. I have worked in social care, specialising in older people since 1991, as I made the positive decision to work in this rewarding sector after I first qualified.
I have been a nurse, deputy manager, registered manager, quality manager & assistant director. I have been an operations director for many years prior to joining this company, I have a passion for making a difference and a wide knowledge base, and I love working and being a leader in social care.
