My mother is 99 and fragile with sever bac k ache due to an accident. She is happy here and secure. The staff treat her with dignity and respect. She is regardless of her obvious frailty included in group activities within her capabilities. I applaud the dedication and patience of the staff.
My sister is currently a long-term resident here, she came in from December 2021. The care has always been amazing but since the new management came this year it has continued to improve and get better and better. My sister is only young and I feel so happy that she is here, the care she receives is wonderful, the food is outstanding and the staff go above and beyond to make us welcome too. The entertainment that is put on on a weekly basis for the residents (and family too if they want to join in) is brilliant. They have pamper sessions, BBQs, games, quizzes and people coming in from outside to do various sessions. It feels like one big family my son is 6 years old and has autism and he is so close to my sister (his aunty) and it has been a lot for us as a family to go through seeing her become ill and come to live in a nursing home and the staff have been so kind and caring with him. This care home is one of the best I have ever seen and I would highly recommend it to anybody.
My brother has been a resident since 2016. He has always been well cared for and in April, when my daughter was getting married, the staff were so supportive in helping to get him to the church and caring for him throughout the service. This allowed him to be present for his only niece's wedding, which meant so much to us all. All the staff knew he was going leading up to the event and continually reminded and engaged with him about it. They even arranged a 'wedding breakfast' for all the residents to enjoy afterwards, along with some interesting advice from the residents for the happy couple! All the staff are caring and really help to make Bowerfield Court feel like a real home for my brother. Special mention for the three staff members who went the extra mile to make the day so special for us all.
The new management are amazing and have listened to the views of the residents and their families. Recently I attended a resident and family meeting where ideas were discussed between everyone. These were taken on board and have now been implemented which is amazing for everyone.
We have peace of mind knowing he is happy at Bowerfield and being beautifully cared for.
To sum up, I know my wife is happy in Bowerfield Court. Well done to all the staff and keep up the good work!
Staff are very caring and considerate of my brother's needs. They take time to get to know and understand him. He is physically quite independent, but his condition means he gets lonely and very depressed. They understand this and make time to talk to him and look after his mental state on a daily basis. They are very supportive and also keep me updated when necessary on how he is. I am very happy that he is living here.
The manager has turned the place around from previous and worked with her lovely team to make it such a lovely atmosphere. The entertainment is fantastic, always something fun going on for Mum to attend (me too). The food is always delicious for Mum who has a great appetite. Always a nurse on hand for any issue I may have. Thank you for the care you show my mum.
Friendly caring staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Good facilities and care provided. Lovely grounds and spacious accommodation. Welcoming staff and very helpful. Mum well looked after and is always clean and well presented. Keep up the good work, much appreciated.
My son came to Bowerfiled Court in February 2021 and left in August 2021. I can not find any faults with staff, cleaners and excellent meals. Overall very happy with his care.
Thank you.
My grandad was unexpectedly admitted to Bowerfield as his health deteriorated rapidly, from the moment his placement was agreed the attention to detail was first class from the manager and all the staff. I now wish I could remember all their names. The staff came across as genuine, compassionate and provided excellent quality of care even during these difficult times of covid. If I had to go into a nursing home, I would pick Bowerfield.
Staff were very polite and friendly. Very thorough with PPE so felt safe. Helpful when doing lateral flow test (knowledgable) and explained the procedure.
Very caring members of staff looking after residents. Good facilities. Can't thank nursing home enough.
Everyone has been very caring. In the coronavirus circumstances, I have only just been inside but was pleased.
Great to be able to visit. Staff so helpful and caring.
My mum recently passes away. I could not want for a better home for Mum to have stayed, which she did for the past four months. My only regret is that we did not find this sooner. The care was second to none, especially fond thoughts of three carers who ensured Mum felt safe and comfortable as much as possible. Thank you.
My wife has just recently enjoyed just over 2 weeks care at the Bowerfield, enjoying the love and care provided by all members of staff. All family and friends who have visted during her stay have all commented on how lovely the staff are.
Really kind and happy staff who create a lovely atmosphere. So helpful and friendly.
My stepfather and I viewed the home having been referred by the hospital. Both mum and he were interested to view; as they had good memories of visiting a friend here a few years ago.
From the moment we arrived, on an unannounced visit, we were treated warmly and enthusiastically. We were also not disappointed with the care that my mother received in her cosy bedroom facility, which was so much more homely than the hospital environment. The staff; to a man and a lady, we're all so nice and friendly, and I have nothing but respect for the jobs that they do.
The food certainly looked nice, and I was treated to fish and chips on Friday there, which was certainly very tasty.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this place, and in fact, have joked since that I would like to be booked in when necessary!
Maintenance on room poor (no light for over a week now).
