Moss Cottage Nursing Home

My Mum went into Moss Cottage in October 2022 and has recently passed away. The care she received during her short stay was superb. The management and staff cared for her as they would for their own family and nothing was too much trouble.

I would recommend this nursing home. My mum was in this home for the last three months of her life, the care and attention she was given was excellent from the manager to the carers nothing was too much trouble they also supported myself and my sister in the last few hours of my mum's life.

All the staff at Moss Cottage are wonderful, caring people. They are led by an excellent manager and treat residents (and relatives) with respect and compassion. I am so grateful to the staff for the fantastic care my Mum receives on a daily basis. Thanks also due to the support staff: Admin, Events Organiser, Cleaning staff and Chefs for the wonderful service and their part in making Moss Cottage such a successful and welcoming care home.

I would highly recommend Moss Cottage to anyone.

My uncle had only been at Moss Cottage for a month when it was his 100th birthday. The staff made it such a magical and wonderful day for him. There was a lovely buffet, cake, beautiful balloons and the mayoress came to congratulate him. It was so lovely that they had taken the time and effort to arrange this for him. I personally will remember the day for a long time.

Superb service. Staff caring, helpful and professional. Ensured my mum was looked after and comfortable in her final days and I was very pleased with her care. They also ensured I had everything I needed during my visits. I'd highly recommended Moss Cottage.

Our mum was admitted as an emergency in January 2021. Her needs were quite complex, she had been cared for at home, however her care package had been insufficient and she had deteriorated. At Moss Cottage our mum received the highest standard of nursing and care. The empathy, kindness and care bestowed upon our mum during her stay was truly amazing. She passed away on the 22nd March, very peacefully with family by her side. The management and staff were extremely accommodating to us, allowing us to come and go at all times. I couldn’t possibly mention each member of staff, but the nurses, activities and carers were fantastic. There’s a diverse bunch of lovely kind people that work there and they make Moss Cottage a happy home. The outside of Moss Cottage looks a bit shabby chic! Do not be put off! The inside is lovely. We regret that our mum wasn’t admitted earlier. Thanks to the nurse and staff on duty the night she passed away, thanks to all of you. You’re amazing!

Though our daughters stay was only three weeks, they made her and us extremely welcome. Management and staff couldn't do enough for her. She went to Moss Cottage in an emergency, and they immediately put her at ease. Thank you all.

Unfortunately, my mother who was a long time resident of Moss Cottage sadly died on the 1st May. The manager and all the staff could not have been more helpful, kind and caring. They could not do enough for me. Nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Moss Cottage Nursing Home to anyone whose relative is in need of nursing care.

I'm very satisfied with the loving care that my husband receives from all at the home. It gives me peace of mind at this very difficult time in my life.

Moss Cottage arranged some entertainment in the car park, so we could see my mum from a safe distance. The staff team have been fantastic. They give way past the call of duty. They are a great team and I will be forever grateful of the way they have pulled together in this troubled time.

This nursing home is absolutely amazing, the staff are very friendly and motivated, always have a smile on their face. My grandmother has been with them now nearly three years and every time I see her, she always has a smile on her face. They are really good with her and I really appreciate that. Thank you for looking after my nana.

He was put to bed one night in his clothes he had worn the previous day and when I questioned this with the manager she asked me to email her the photo I had taken of him in the state and told me she would deal with this, but she never got back to me. I was told the Manager was new, next she had gone and was told she had left.

Caring and friendly staff. Residents well looked after. Nice rooms with some lovely views. My friend and neighbour is resident and staff are very patient with her.

My Mum has been in Moss Cottage for 2 years and we could not wish for anywhere better. She is treated with such kindness and dignity. The staff are amazing. It is such a lovely home.

This is the 2nd home my husband has been in and this one is far better. The staff are really understanding and seem to take good care of everyone.

I am very grateful for all the help I have received whilst residing here. The staff are very kind and considerate. I appreciate gratefully all my meals have been catered for. I cannot praise the home enough. Thank you.

My husband was in Moss Cottage Nursing Home for 16 months. The care and dedication given by the cares and nurses was first class. He passed away on the 14th July with dignity.

My dad spent his last 18 months in this home. My dad suffered with a form of advanced Parkinson's and required a high level of care.

Firstly, I would like to thank the staff at the home for the manner in which they cared for my dad and treated him with the dignity that his family wanted in his last months. It is my opinion that the staff, carers and RGNs are amongst the finest people with hearts of gold. They are professional, caring and treat everyone with respect and dignity.

In the last few hours, the medical staff made my dad as comfortable as possible. The carers treated us all with dignity and respect. Even after my dad had passed they treated my dad with dignity and great care.

I can only thank ALL STAFF for their professionalism, I would strongly recommend Moss Cottage Care Home to everyone.

I would recommend the home to anybody in the same position as we were.
