Stamford Court

I would like more reports on my wife's condition without asking.

My mum has her review in January for her health issues. The lady who did this was very nice to not only my mum but also to my brother and myself. She was very good at going through everything in fine detail. Also, there was a nurse from the home who went through her health notes and the medicines that she is on. The whole review took about one hour, and I was very pleased with how it was conducted.

Mum has been in Stamford Court since July 2022, after a stay in the hospital and six months in her previous terrible care home. Mum has Dementia (Alzheimer's) and can sometimes have challenging behaviour. What a difference! This is what care should be like. The difference in her is so noticeable; she is so much happier and calmer and doesn't get stressed as often. The staff are brilliant, have a great rapport with Mum, showing empathy and respect at all times, and genuinely care about her wellbeing. The rooms are quite spacious and cheerful and are cleaned regularly, to a high standard. Family members are always made to feel welcome, and visiting is easy to arrange with no restrictions, just a phone call to check she is not having a shower or being changed etc. There are regular visits from the Doctor (once a week), podiatrist/chiropodist and hairdresser.

Disgusting. My grandad has been there for a few months now and he's had a number of times lost his teeth because the staff either take them or don't seem to know where they put them which means my grandad can't eat! and now he has fallen twice and been back in the hospital because of this! My grandad needs 24-hour care, not pop in every few hours. It takes them 3 hours to make him a brew for goodness sake it is not on and I'm fuming we trust someone to look after our family member and this is how they get treated!

Mum needed 24 hour care after being diagnosed with Brain Cancer in December 2021. We chose Stamford Court from CQC reports and personal recommendations. Everything was as we hoped and expected. The care was good and the staff were excellent, always showing empathy while getting on with the job. Mum enjoyed the food and was happy with the staff around her, whilst her communication was limited and she was sometimes confused she was not anxious or upset and we were comfortable with the difficult choice we had to make and confident she was getting good care. This was her home for the last 4 months of her 92 years and the management and staff were supportive, caring and helpful to us. We were able to visit daily within Covid rules and had unlimited time with her at the end. We would make the same choice again. Thank you.

Mum was a resident in Stamford Court for just over 3-months before she sadly passed away. My mum was well cared for, and the staff treated myself and my family with empathy and dignity. The bond my mum made with all the staff in such a short time was heartwarming to see.

I cannot fault the care given to my mum the last month. Mum has been refusing food at the home, and the staff have been incredibly supportive not only with her but with us as a family.

My dad needed a nursing home facility after leaving the hospital. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to visit care homes to ensure they lived up to our expectations. I used CQC online as a guide, and Stamford Court had good reviews. Dad was only in the home for 10-days before he passed away. I would recommend Stamford Court to anyone in our position. The staff are caring, considerate and have such empathy, which helped us during this difficult time.

The staff were lovely to me and my brother; they sat with Mum when we were not there, and let us come to visit anytime when Mum was in her last days. Mum was happy at Stamford Court and had made friends.

Although visits are restricted due to the pandemic, they have worked and well and I feel welcomed to the home to see my mother. She is happy and settled in the home and looks well cared for.

Stamford Court looked after my mother very well for nine years.

My mum was admitted to Stamford Court Care in July 2020 shortly after she left the hospital where she had just been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. In summary, the home provided outstanding care and support to Mum until she sadly passed away in October. In the 4 months mum was in the home, she would constantly tell me about the wonderful food, accommodation but most importantly, the warmth and care from all the staff who looked after her physical and mental well being. Because of COVID, it was only at the end that I was able to go inside the home and really get to know the people Mum had been talking about and I could totally understand why Mum was so complimentary and appreciative of the home we had decided to choose for her final days. As a concerned relative, the staff continually kept me appraised of Mum's condition and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff and the manager, are a credit to HTC and I would strongly recommend Stamford Court. Thank You all.

My mum is so well looked after at Stamford Court, the staff are so loving and caring. Obviously the last 17 weeks have been difficult being in lockdown not being able to visit but regular updates have been vital. The home, staff and management have done an excellent job protecting our loved ones at this very difficult time. Thank you.

February - March was the last time I visited my husband indoors. My husband has been in Stamford Court for over 10 years now and to be honest it speaks for itself that he is still there. I have hardly had any complaints and the one or two I dd have when he first went in were very minor ones that were discussed and quickly sorted. The staff are brilliant and friendly and have become more like friends over the years. My husband is always clean and well cared for and I can honestly say it's a pleasure to visit. I visit most days.

I would like to give a shout out to the staff for the excellent care received by my Father at this difficult time, under difficult circumstances. I thank you all, for your dedication, it is appreciated, it enables me to fulfil my caring duties in the community knowing Dad is looked after.

My Grannie said to me a few days before she died, “Thank you for finding me this home”.

The care and attention she received from all of the staff was excellent and we returned from holiday to find her looking and feeling the best she has for quite some time. On leaving, she received hugs and kisses from most of the staff and she said that she felt like she was leaving her friends behind. Thank you Stamford Court.

Very good visit.

My dad was looked after and treated with great care and dignity in this very difficult time. Nothing was too much to ask for, room, food, rest lounges all very good. Dad was helped and encouraged to mix and when needed was left to have privacy, visits were open. Any questions were positively answered. All his medical needs and timings were planned and precise. I'm so glad I found Stamford Court to deal with a sad situation. Thank you to all the staff.
