The care home is excellent and all the staff are great.

My grandma moved into Westleigh Lodge Care Home following a long struggle with vascular dementia. My grandma was becoming very depressed and started to lie in bed every day at home. She had no quality of life and started to deteriorate. After a few weeks at Westleigh Lodge Care Home, she was dancing,
singing and has become much loved by the staff. She has a laugh and joke with all. Westleigh Lodge Care Home has certainly given her a new lease of life.

The past 4 weeks my mother has been very poorly with a chest infection. The care and attention she gets is excellent. Over the year's they have gotten to know her very well, therefore my mother know's what she wants to do and what she does not want to do. She always gets what she wants, is looked after
and treated with great care. I have got to know all the staff from top to bottom in the home. If I ever have any concern it is dealt with straight away. One big happy family.

It's amazing how the staff are so helpful, caring and loving towards my father. They all work so hard to ensure my dad and the other residents have the best experience with this terrible disease.

My husband and I had a very torrid tale prior to him becoming a resident in Westleigh Lodge. I cannot thank the manager and her team enough for their wonderful care and kindness to us both. We work very closely together to create the best environment and care my husband needs - my knowledge of him
and the team's professional knowledge and experience. The most important thing is the feeling of genuine care and affection for the residents as soon as you walk into the home. Our friends and family have also spoken of this. It's difficult to comment on activities as my husband won't engage in any.

Mum was extremely well looked after and staff treated her like family.


She was very happy there. I would recommend Westleigh Lodge to other families of those with dementia.


Staff were also very alert to Mum's medical and health issues.

Just a compliment on what seems to me to be a good improvement on the food the resident are receiving. From the soup through to dessert, it looks appetising, like something the visitors could eat alongside their relatives.

My husband has been cared for at Westleigh Lodge for 2 years. I have always been happy with the care and attention that he received. Most important to me personally has been how the staff and in particular the nursing staff have supported me in sometimes difficult times. I have also been encouraged
to help and join in with activities with residents, in particular, the garden which we won an award for!

My Mums stay lasted just under twelve months during which time she was treated with great care and compassion. She had 50% vascular dementia, 50% Alzheimer's, plus long term chronic pain in her spine and leg. Mum had difficulty swallowing but still enjoyed the home cooked meals, particularly the desserts!
The staff are friendly, patient and skilled.

My wife and I had a magnificent surprise golden wedding anniversary party in the activities lounge, everyone was welcomed and all thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations. We can't thank the staff enough, everyone joined in the fun and enjoyed a superb buffet. All other residents were offered some buffet
if wanted. I'm sure everyone had a brilliant day.

My mum (a resident here) and dad celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday. The help and support I received in planning this event was superb. Every little detail was taken into account and it all remained a secret until the day. The activities room was decorated beautifully and I was
overwhelmed when I first set eyes on it. The love, care and support that my mum and dad, and our family and friends received was (and is) second to none. I cannot thank the staff enough for the help in making this occasion very special indeed.

I visited my dad for the first time today in Westleigh Lodge. I was struck first of all by the number of staff present and attending to the residents which gave me a very positive first impression. I was received by the nurse who spent a long time explaining my dad's care to me, this was reassuring
as I live abroad and don't get to visit often.
I feel confident that he is being looked after and is in a caring environment.
My only two issues are difficult as I know the situation in a dementia home 1. The odour of urine when you enter the home. 2. Dad was not wearing his own clothes (the second issue was raised and noted with the nurse).

I had never been in an EMI dementia unit before my mum came in here. I think this home is brilliant. The staff are very caring. It is clean. The food is good. To do this job of caring for people with dementia you have either got it or not got it. There is no in-between and the staff here have definitely
got it 100%.

Very apprehensive about EMI Nursing but very satisfied and contented with where my mum has gone. Staff are excellent and very approachable - professional, mum settled very quickly, which made my brother and myself feel very at ease.

“I firmly believe that kind care means providing the highest quality of care and always acting in the Resident's best interests.”


As a Registered Nurse, Tina has gained more than 16 years’ experience in providing care and support to older people living with dementia, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for the company for a number of years, Tina closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Westleigh Lodge.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Tina remarked: “I love having the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our Residents.”


Away from work, Tina enjoys reading, socialising and spending time with her family.
