Nestled within a peaceful residential area of Toxteth, on the outskirts of Liverpool, Mersey Parks care home offers personalised residential, nursing and residential dementia care to older people.

Care is consistent and provided as required. The staff are friendly, conscientious and do their best to care for and assist residents. There is an issue with clothing going missing after cleaning in the laundry but I do believe the staff are doing their best. Cleanliness is satisfactory but could be

Nurses and staff are very good with my mum. They do everything they can to make her comfortable. I have said this quite a few times about the activities, they are very, very poor.

My brother has been in this care home for 9 months. At the time of him going in, I was very fussy with what I saw but it has improved since the refurbishment. It's much better for the residents, care staff, also relations.
I go in daily so I see what's going on. Also, the loss of residents clothing
needs looking at i.e. teeth, glasses, slippers etc.

I would like to reassure you that we do our utmost to minimise the risk or loss of clothing serviced through our laundry and we will continue to do so. We will review the way we support residents to keep their glasses and dentures safe to see if there is anything more we can do to reduce the risk of misplacement and loss.

We have found the staff to be amazing very caring and creating a wonderful atmosphere for the residents, they always put residents needs first and treat all residents with care and dignity, they always speak to and listen to family about any concerns they may have. There is always a friendly atmosphere with very helpful staff at all times. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always onhand they have a good sense of humour with the residents and interact with them it is a lovely place. I am very pleased with the care my brother is receiving he is well

The staff have shown my dad compassion, care and respect, they will do anything to help. My brother has been here for 6 and a half years now and we have always found the home a very pleasant environment, with caring, friendly staff. He is well fed, clean and comfortable. There is always time to discuss any concerns and we are kept informed of any needs he may have.

My mum would benefit from regular baths or showers, they do not happen every week or fortnight, she can go for weeks without her hair being washed, the same can also be said about the washing of her feet.


I feel mum would be changed every three hours as sometimes she is left wet and soiled leaving

her clothes wet and smelly.

This is the second home my friend has been in and this home is 100% better than the other one. The staff are so much better and they really seem to care. Also, they always have time for a chat. This was the best choice we could have made.
