My mother has been a resident of Broadoak Manor for the last 2 years. I have found the care and treatment of her to be very satisfactory. The staff are very caring and interact well with the residents. My mother has shown a great improvement since entering the home. I leave her knowing that she has
been given the best of care. A big thanks to all the staff at Broadoak Manor.

My mum who has severe dementia is well taken care of , she is clean and well dressed and involved. The carers interact with her constantly. She doesn't know me or anyone else now but responds to every ones kindness by babbling away happily. She watches what is going on, she is eating well and I constantly
provided with biscuits, tea, snacks and juice. I do not live in St Helen's but after a visit I return to my home in a relaxed state knowing she is having the best possible care. Thank you Broadoak Manor

I find Stapley Broadoak St Helen's the best run nursing home available. The staff and people working in the home are so polite, kind and very efficient at their job. Nothing is of any trouble to them when asking how my mother has been looked after. They provide excellent service and go out of their
way to ensure she is comfortable and getting the best help any person could ask for. (I thank them for that)

What does kindness mean to you?


“Getting to know our Residents, their history, likes and dislikes. I really enjoy sitting and having a chat, getting to know peoples’ life stories and history, and sharing mine too.”


As a Registered Adult Nurse, Patrick has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Patrick shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He uses his experience to motivate his team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Patrick remarked:


“Meeting new people, in my job I speak to a lot of Residents, families, friends, Colleagues and professionals from the community.”


Outside of work, Patrick enjoys travelling and cruises, with his favourite place to visit being the USA. He also says his biggest achievement was when he finished university and registered as a nurse, as he was able to save up and buy a house with a garden, so he could get a pet dog.
