Excellent care for my nan. Staff are attentive and good. Well looked after. Room is always clean and tidy and washing gets done regularly. My nan seems happy with the location and the fact she can have a walk down the street or able to sit in the garden when the weather permits.

Mum moved in after a stay in hospital. She has settled in very well, everyone is lovely to her, the home is immaculate and she loves her room.

The food is always nice and there is always a choice, it's been great a move for her and we have peace of mind knowing she has 24-hour care.

My mother has been a resident at The Brunswick since June 2022. I could not be happier with the way she is cared for. The care, understanding and love that the residents are shown by the staff at the home is outstanding. The manager and staff treat residents like family. I know my mother is safe with the manager and her team looking after her.

Having lost my dad to dementia and visiting him before he died at another care home. I knew the criteria I was looking for when it came to my mum moving in. I can genuinely say I am delighted with everything about The Brunswick. Every member of staff, from housekeeping, chefs and carers, are all amazing, so understanding and patient with everyone despite being rushed off their feet!

In my family's experience, the management team and staff treat the residents with care, respect and dignity. We are kept well informed about any issues arising for our parents and they have always been dealt with swiftly and appropriately. The team manage to make the atmosphere homely and welcoming for residents and for us as a family. The staff are genuinely committed to their work and we are so grateful for what our parents have received.

Overall Experience

My mum in law had been a resident at The Brunswick for around 18 months, before sadly passing in February, within this time the manager and the team were always, kind, compassionate and professional. Her weight was very low when she arrived and the chef would often make her “off menu” meals that would tempt her to eat. In the beginning she was slightly more mobile progressing to needing two carers to mobilise her this was never treated as a chore and always done with a smile and encouraging chat. Post Christmas she was admitted into hospital which progressed to end of life care, The Brunswick welcomed her (and all of the family) back with love, support and dignity for her final weeks, during this time she was turned constantly to eliminate the worry of bed sores her medication was always administered promptly. The home is spotlessly clean with carers that genuinely care. This was our first experience of care homes and I would honestly feel confident to recommend The Brunswick and team.

Overall Experience

My mum had been in the Brunswick for the past eighteen months and passed away there at the start of February. Throughout her stay she has always been treated well by all the staff, from the carers to the cleaning team, the kitchen team and everyone we came into contact with. The level of respect and warmth never failed to impress me. Mum's end-of-life care at the Brunswick, whilst being an incredibly sad time, was also one that allowed us all to share some special moments with her, and there wasn't anything that the Brunswick team could have done more to help, be that from dropping in to say hello and share a story, to bringing up a cup of tea, unasked, just because they knew it was needed. The actions of the Brunswick team directly helped to turn this sad period into one that also had moments of happiness and that we as a family are able to look back on in a positive way, which is a great comfort at this time.

The Brunswick accepted our father as an emergency case one late Saturday evening after a fall meant he could no longer safely live alone. He was given a choice of rooms and picked the one he liked best.
The Brunswick is spotlessly clean and warm, and the staff have always been lovely with him and helped him to settle into a new way of life.

We are moving him today only so he can be closer to his existing social network. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Brunswick to others.

In the short time my father stayed with you, he was treated with the utmost respect, care and dignity.

Also, the professionalism and consideration shown to his family at all times were exemplary and we are so glad he spent his last days being looked after by a special team of people.

My mother initially went for two weeks respite but is still in residence six months later. She has settled and her anxiety has decreased which means she is happier and her sense of humour has returned. She loves the location and makes the most of being on Lord Street, either watching the world go by or enjoying a stroll.

OK, this care home is located at the south end of Lord Street - a world-class shopping street in the superior holiday resort of Southport. A beach, leisure lake and other facilities are minutes away (see Southport Tourist Board brochure for details). The climate's clement - 'Sunny Southport' - The town also hosts world golfing events. The town always has an influx of world tourists, giving it an ambience that other towns may lack. Residents are urbane, polite and friendly - as are the staff. I have a TV in my room and am able to buy my newspaper daily - as I can buy whatever I wish, within reason.

The care and loving consideration for all needs is second to none. The care for personal needs is always dealt with. I can't fault the food, always more than enough. Tablets - explained what they are giving. Staff have an extremely hard job and they do it with great pride and I admire them all for that. Hope this feedback is of use. Many thanks to them all.

I have no hesitation in recommending The Brunswick Care Home to anyone who is thinking of placing relatives there. My father was a full-time resident for nearly two years and I could not ask for anything more from all the staff, who are a dedicated team and have the residents' best interests at heart. The care and attention they pay the residents is second to none, even in these uncertain times of the Covid pandemic.
