My friend and I have visited one of the residents for 5 years. At first we used to dread visiting - the atmosphere seemed so dark. However, over the last 4 years, the change that has taken place is amazing. Staff are happy and helpful and the whole atmosphere has changed - seems lighter and brighter. The care and gentleness shown to our friend is lovely.

My dad has been in Cambridge Court Care Home for 2 weeks. In that time, he has improved and come on leaps and bounds. Every visit he tells me how much he likes it here and how all the staff are so pleasant and helpful.

My husband has been a resident at Cambridge Court since October 2016.
During that time he has always been treated with kindness and thoughtfulness by all staff.
There has always been cheerful banter and real care for his comfort and well-being.

It has made my adjustment to the situation so much easier when I know I can leave him, knowing he will be looked after to the best of their ability.

Although my mother had only been in your care for a few months, I wish to say a heartfelt thanks to all your staff who made her final days peaceful and comfortable. The kindness and compassion really meant a lot and you have some wonderful staff. Mum always looked neat and tidy and clean and with hair brushed. We always saw her wearing her own clothes. With hindsight, I wish we had moved her into your care a long time ago. Staff always updated us with health information.

Cambridge Court has been my dad's home for the last three years. I feel happy that my dad is receiving the best care available. I feel rest assured and can sleep at night knowing that he is safe. We were told that my dad was at end of life in 2014 and since residing at Cambridge Court, he's come on leaps and bounds, always happy and always smiling.

This is all down to the care that he receives from the lovely staff.

The staff are always professional, friendly and helpful. This was particularly apparent when my mother first entered the care home as I was very upset. A member of staff took time out to comfort and reassure me - I will always be grateful for that.

The admin staff are very attentive and always available to answer queries. The entertainments manager is very enthusiastic and takes time to construct an entertainment programme to include all residents.

Overall it's like we are now part of a big family looking after everyone.

The staff ensure that safety is kept surrounding service users ie safety whilst walking (in case of falls, surrounding areas, moving around inside of the home and out). Staff ensure that dignity and respect is kept at all times. Service users are empowered with their care plans and activities they wish to be involved with. My mum loves getting involved with the quizzes, board games and other indoor activities. Management ensure all medical reviews, appointments and hospital appointments are kept up to date and medication is given and ordered from doctors and the chemist. Mum's bedroom is always clean and tidy. Clothes are cleaned and ironed. Family are involved with Mum's consent, in all aspects of care surrounding Mum.

My mother and father are both in this care home for 7 years.
My mother has dementia.
My father came in at the same time, his health is slowly getting worse.
They have been looked after very well, considering their health.

The staff are most helpful and look after everybody kindly.

As I work in the care sector myself I found it very hard to be objective at first. I can honestly say in the time my dad has been here it feels like I have the old dad back. He is happy and more sociable than I have seen in a long time. The staff are so supportive, especially one member who I feel goes out of her way to include dad and he himself enjoys her company. Each and every staff member from housekeeping to office are always polite and I could not thank them enough for the care my dad gets. Thank you, team.

Since my husband has been a patient in Cambridge Court he has been very well looked after and is always clean and well dressed. He seems very calm and happy in his own little way. I am happy he has such good care.
