I have the utmost confidence in the management and staff of Cambridge Court. My mother is very well cared for. During the pandemic the protection she has received has been as good as it could possibly be. In my opinion Cambridge Court is first rate.

I’m really happy with the level of care my nan has received. The staff seem very friendly and caring towards the residents. Also since the manager has taken over, she’s very efficient, always keeps you updated with anything that is going on at the home and especially with Covid it’s been hard not seeing
loved ones, but she makes it that little easier by keeping family informed.

Even though these are difficult times the staff at the care home are always friendly and whilst we are restricted to visits, they always keep us fully informed and their Facebook pages make me feel my Mum is enjoying her stay.
The manager keeps us fully up to date with the current goings on and when
visits can resume plus they have made such a great effort in constructing a ‘pod’ that enables the visits to be safe.
They really care!

Mum has been at Cambridge Court just over two years now and is extremely happy and content with all aspects of her care. During the last year as we all struggled with Covid 19 the team have gone all out to maintain and exceed in the daily care of all residents. The manager has taken the time to post
messages to family members not only to keep us all updated and informed on our loved ones but also making us at the same time feel part of the family that is Cambridge Court.

Since Mum has been in Cambridge Court she has settled down. A bit anxious and confused at first. The staff are very caring to her and are quite quick to react. The only thing I would say is that sometimes there looks as if there isn't enough staff on - especially at the weekend. I dont think she was
being taken to the toilet by the men.

My Dad has been in this care home since June 2018. He settled in straight away and the fabulous staff have cared for him fantastically. I cannot recommend the staff highly enough. They are amazing. Dad has put weight on since he has been there with all the gorgeous food he is given. His room is always
immaculate and his clothes are always fresh and clean. It is a wonderful nursing home and we are very lucky he is here. The Manager and Asisstant Manager are always making sure that everything is running smoothly for him and Mum. Thank you.

My mother became a resident in January 2018. I can honestly say that she has been cared for in an exemplary way since her arrival and the very high standards of this care home have exceeded our expectations on all levels. Most importantly all the staff working in the home, from the home manager, deputy
manager and the receptionist/office manager, through to the nursing and care staff and kitchen staff, etc, show great professionalism and care for the residents.
My mother is treated with dignity, good humour and kindness. She is well fed, hydrated and socialised and is always clean and well dressed. Her quality of life is greatly improved over her previous care home and we have seen a huge improvement in her general health and wellbeing. This is a great testament to the excellent way in which Cambridge Court is run, which comes, I believe, from very high standards being set and maintained from the manager downwards. This care home is the gold standard for residential nursing homes.

As I walked through the doors I thought it was a 5-star hotel. I could not fault the staff or management. Everything was 100% perfect. My uncle was so happy to be there as he thought it was like home from home. You could not fault any of the services throughout the home facilities cleanliness safety,

As a regular visitor, I find that the staff show a lot of kindness to the residents although there is room for more interaction with brighter residents. Although money has been spent to good effect on the layout, sadly the day rooms where residents spend their days it must be pointed out is a basement.
No one should spend their remaining days in a basement.

My name is Alena, I have a Level 7 diploma in strategic management and Level 4 in Leadership and management in health and social care. I became a manager at Cambridge Court in November 2019 and have over 20 years of experience in care. I have a real passion for caring for the elderly and how to make a real difference in their everyday lives. I motivate her team to achieve the best outcomes for all who live at Cambridge Court and involve families and friends in the care as much as possible.
We have been nominated in two categories for National British care awards and also in Dementia care awards. We feel honoured as those nominations came form our families and their recognition of our hard work is the one which matters the most.
