Nestled within the attractive area of Wallasey, close to the River Mersey, Leighton Court care home offers personalised residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

The purpose-built home has a range of comfortable and tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, as well as a hair salon and a pretty, landscaped garden, which is a very popular spot to relax and watch the world go by.

My dad came to Leighton Court after a fall and a broken hip. In his words, he can't fault the care and attention he's received. He's also enjoying the food.

Very pleased with the care my mum is receiving after having been a resident for over a year now. The staff are so nice and very caring. Very happy we chose this care home. My auntie is also a resident and it is lovely to know they are together and can see each other, although, sadly neither of them
really remembers. Couldn’t ask for more from a care home. Well done to all the staff

My father was well cared for by the carers at Leighton Court, especially the deputy manager, who took the time to get to know my dad and chat with him. This was of particular importance because my father tested positive for COVID 19 during his stay and became very lonely due to the isolation. My dad
also really enjoyed the food.

I was a bit apprehensive coming to a care home for rehabilitation, especially after being so poorly at the previous hospital. I have to say the care, respect, dignity and overall rehabilitation far exceeded what I was expecting. From day one, the welcome and kind treatment was fantastic. It really is
a wonderful place and the staff far exceeded my expectations. I could not have recovered so well without their help and kindness. All treated me so kindly and really helped my recovery. Can not speak highly enough of the carers and my experience and the quality of care.

I have found at all times of day and night that the staff have been wonderful, kind and extremely helpful. I managed to clear my plate every day and puddings, and have found everything to be a very high standard. I am very grateful.

My mum received excellent intermediate care following her discharge from hospital.
The physio care really bought her on to a level whereby she could return home and be able to walk around her home at a level prior to her hospitalisation.
The nursing care helped her through the difficult time away
from family with waves through the window. We are very grateful to all.

Good food for such an establishment.
Rooms are a little small.
Ensuite, no shower.
No toiletries provided.
Furniture, whilst still functional, needs care and attention.

I thought that being new to this experience, I might find it difficult. In practice, the opposite was the case. Without exception, the staff were helpful and considerate; they have been friendly and supportive, and they work incredibly hard. I shall miss them all and remember them fondly.

My father attended the care home after having a stroke, the staff in Leighton Court were excellent and friendly during these hard times during COVID.
I would certainly recommend this care home. The care the staff gave my father and also my mother when she visited was excellent.

I came to Leighton Court for rehabilitation directly from hospital organised by the NHS. The care I received from the staff was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and I thank them most sincerely. Nothing to do with the care was the problem. I was given to understand y the hospital that
I would receive physiotherapy to get me walking again. All I received was instructions in transferring.
