Nestled within the attractive area of Wallasey, close to the River Mersey, Leighton Court care home offers personalised residential, nursing and nursing dementia care to older people.

The purpose-built home has a range of comfortable and tastefully decorated en-suite rooms, as well as a hair salon and a pretty, landscaped garden, which is a very popular spot to relax and watch the world go by.

When I came into the care home Iw as very ill and could not walk without pain. I also felt very depressed, but the welcome from all the staff was wonderful. I felt a lot better. With the medical and physio treatment, I feel much better. I am very grateful for the care home and all the staff.

There are not enough words to describe my experience here at Leighton Court. From the very first day to the last, extremely wonderful. I entered here barely walking and now I am walking out straight as a die. Everybody connected to Leighton Court should be extremely proud, as proud as me leaving here

I arrived traumatised and confused. I have been here a month unfortunately during the Covid-19 restrictions, confined mostly to my room and yet despite that I am sad to be leaving the staff who in their entirety have kept me going with their friendliness and caring. Cares, domestic team, physios have

I had already heard good reviews about Leighton Court so when my mum was transferred there from hospital on respite I was pleased. The nursing staff have been amazing in the care they have given, one in particular, who has taken such good care of my mum, she has fed back to me with any concerns, arranged
doctors appointments and other health care professionals, nothing has been too much trouble, she has taken the time to talk to me when I've been upset and worried. I am so grateful to her and the team at Leighton Court.

My mum was in respite here from December to February. We were quite concerned that Mum was not with us, but we need not have worried as she was well looked after. All the staff were a delight and Mum felt safe during her stay there, which was a huge relief to us. The physio team were great and deserve
special mention. The social worker was helpful in providing a list for after care. Leighton Court should be very proud of all their team as they are a credit to them. Wishing you all the best for the future with gratitude and appreciation.

I was admitted to the rehab-unit from hospital. In the time I have been here I have made excellent progress entirely due to the outstanding staff, care, good food and encouragement to become mobile again. I have no hesitation in praising all the staff and departments.

The staff, carers and nurses, physio and O/H have all been amazing. They are always around whenever needed and attended to all of my needs with care and attention. The girls all have a great sense of humour and that helps in embarrassing moments.

Staff under pressure not to comment to family members, but I would love to know exactly what my mother had done that day. Incontinent, walking, washing herself all needs help. At times you can explain and help the staff, in many cases. I had to keep asking as my mum kept saying she had done everything
when she hadn't. Tiny toilets in rooms. Poor staff helping with washes.

Thank you for looking after me for 13 weeks. Food was very nice and lots of it. Some rooms need updating but all are very clean. Cleaners are always busy keeping everywhere tidy. I liked the staff, they were all nice and wanted to keep me safe and well looked after.

Friendly and kind staff. Comfortable bed and good to have own room. Sometimes felt I wasn't pushed to be independent but the upside was that I never felt unsafe.

Staff were excellent nothing too much trouble. Food very good. Room totally adequate. Medical care very good.
Physio on the whole very good and he knew his stuff. However, I missed one full week's physio, although a plausible explanation was given.
