I have looked after my partner (who had dementia) as his carer for over four years in his own home until it became clear he needed professional care. We looked at brand new care homes which were just cash cows, and smaller homes which were obviously struggling. Then we came across Mother Redcaps. This immediately had a good feel to it. We received the warmest of welcomes on the reception desk, followed by an introduction to the manager, followed by a show around. The staff are all friendly. There was a room available so my partner moved in. The staff are all friendly. He settled down remarkably quickly. After 8 months of visiting on a daily basis I can confirm that Mother Redcaps is good; the staff are superb, always kind and compassionate to the residents. The food is good - I can vouch for that!! The place has a very good feel to it!

Staff are always welcoming and helpful, especially the receptionist. The meals are healthy and appetizing and served appropriately. We are always offered a hot drink and made to feel welcome. Staff have quickly got to know my family member and made them feel at home. Sometimes activities are cancelled due to staffing issues. However the families opinion is we made an excellent choice.

My mother was looking for a perfect spot in which to spend her final days - on the promenade near New Brighton, overlooking the Mersey at Liverpool. She also wanted good, traditional food and caring staff. She had all this with a light touch at Mother Redcaps.

This home has helped my mum and supported myself so much since bringing my mum here. The staff are so friendly and I'm always welcomed with a smile and they always keep me updated with anything that goes on. My mum receives fantastic care with meal plans, personal care and activities, but most importantly she is treated with dignity. Finding out my mum has dementia was very difficult for myself, but the people here have helped support me with advice amd even just talk to me about how my day was. I fully recommend this home to anyone who has a family member or friend who needs care.
