Mother Redcaps Care Home is a purpose-built care facility specialising in nursing, residential and dementia residential care. The site has a fantastic view of the River Mersey and promenade and has been of historical significance to the local community for hundreds of years.

The home currently plans and administers care to the most vulnerable of adults with a varied range of abilities and dependence. There is a qualified nurse on duty 24 hours a day and a great team of senior and care staff that are dedicated to meeting the needs of your loved one.

There is a small garden area that looks directly onto the promenade and shore and is wheelchair accessible. This is particularly enjoyable in the summer during maritime events and various charity events that pass the home along the Mersey.

Since my mother, who has only been in the care home for a short time, I have seen a great difference in my mum's mental health and well being from when she came to you, she is so much happier, content and well cared for.

Since my mother moved into Mother Redcaps she has improved in every way by 100%. She is stronger, happier, more confident, eating more, more talkative, and looks younger and stronger. The staff are brilliant, friendly and extremely helpful. They talk to her like friends using her first name. She is
even laughing which I never thought I would see again. I would recommend Mother Redcaps to everyone.

My father was moved here following a hip operation and he was not well. The care received from all the staff and nurses on duty could not be faulted. We lost him at the end of June but even in his last days, he was treated with care and dignity. Thank you to all at Mother Redcaps Care Home you made
a distressing time bearable.

It's a lovely clean home and the manager is very professional. Mum was moved here from another home and has settled in well. The only problem is that her t.v is on the blink, as this is her only entertainment it's making her unhappy. We have asked the home to please fix the tv, to no avail. The home
has a resident handyman and I believe the problem has been brought to his attention, however, no joy as tv is still going on and off all the time.

My sister settled into Redcaps after moving from another home. We are all so pleased she is now somewhere we believe she will be cared for with compassion, and believe she is now in her final home. We go for walks each Sunday, and since she has been at Mother Redcaps, we phone from outside and are able
to speak to her and she is kindly brought to the widow so we can also see her when talking. We were given the home email address and have received emails regarding everything in the home. It is fascinating how much time and effort Mother Redcaps puts into making life so "norma;" for the residents.

My sister entered Mother Redcaps 24/02/2020. On the same day, one of the staff took time to paint her fingernails! This was an indication of the high standard of personal care that she has continued to receive. The staff have gone out of their way to keep her happy and well looked after. An atmosphere
of friendliness and efficiency pervades at Mother Redcaps. The staff have also been alert in assessing my sister's medical needs. They have acted quickly and referred her to doctors or hospital for medical advice. The nurse in charge has always been opened and detailed in reporting to me any information whether negative or positive. As I live 200 miles away, I have very much appreciated this feedback when I have phoned. Credit must be given to the staff of Mother Redcaps for their high standard of care and professionalism.

Clean, happy, tidy, helpful, pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. There's fresh food every day and caring staff that keep me up to date about my mum's progress. I can sleep at night knowing my mum is being cared for 24 hours a day. My mum says she likes the care home and has been here for 2 years
and 5 months.

My mother became a resident in September this year and right from day one I knew she would feel at home.
My mum has dementia and has trouble with her mobility but the staff always make sure that she is included in all activities. They have looked after her brilliantly and inform me that she joins
in and has other residents laughing. I cannot praise the staff highly enough including the management team. Thank you for all your help and support and for making my mum feel like one of the family.

Mum has been a resident for four months. She settled in quickly and is very happy. She prefers Mother Red Cap to her previous care home. We have experienced a better standard of care which we feel she did not receive in the other care home. She is safe and cannot get out. She is clean, smartly dressed
with her clothes changed daily. Staff spend time chatting to residents, some even then it is their breaks. The friendly family atmosphere makes her daily life all we could wish for. Mum enjoys the regular trips out and the activities organised such as music sessions. Our only regret is not choosing Mother Redcaps in the first place.
