My Mum was living in Nazareth House and we cannot praise the staff and sisters more. Mum was very happy here, her home. We would extremely recommend Nazareth House for their care, love and spiritual care. Nazareth House is a happy place and very special.

Thank you to Nazareth House for all their wonderful care and support throughout my mother-in-law's time in nursing care. My granny was also here at Nazareth House 20 years ago and I have the fondest memories from that time.

I have been visiting my friend regularly since he was admitted to Nazareth House. I have been impressed by the level of care which he has received, the friendliness of the staff and the standard of the facilities. I have had personal experience of nursing homes and also visited them in a professional capacity and am aware that not all homes reach the standard of care offered by Nazareth House.

My father was 93 years old when he entered Nazareth House to be cared for. He entered in May 2018 until February 2019. This was my father's worst nightmare because he was fiercely independent and liked his own space. However, within a very short time, he quickly adapted to his new home because that’s what it was, a new home for him.

He thoroughly enjoyed meeting the staff who were to care for him and enjoyed himself tremendously. The care given by all the staff could not be faulted and this is what makes Nazareth House such a special place. The staff were courteous, polite and thorough with my father's care and they were the same with us when we visited him. My father enjoyed his stay here and it gave him a new lease of life. We can only praise this home for its care of my father and I would gladly recommend to anybody in the same situation.

My cousin has been fortunate to have been in this care home since April 2017. We visit him frequently and always found him to be happy and comfortable with no complaints.
For the first time in his life, he has had someone who cares enough to make sure that he takes his medication every day. He has carers who really do care for his personal cleanliness and attire.

I have visited quite a lot of care homes and this is the only one which does not smell of urine and that speaks volumes for all the staff. It's a lovely care home.

My mother was an end of life resident and only in Nazareth House for 9 days. However, the staff treated her and all the family as if we were their own family. They could not do enough for us and always treated mum with dignity and respect. The family were included in all aspects of care.

My uncle has resided here since last April. We have been very pleased with the care he has received. The staff are caring, supportive and are always ready to answer any questions and deal with any problems. Both my uncle and his wife (deceased) have been treated with respect at all times. I would recommend Nazareth House wholeheartedly.

Our dad lived at Nazareth House - Prenton for the last 18 months of his life (R.I.P Jan 14th, 2018).

He received excellent care from the wonderful staff who took time to get to know him well. In the last days of his life, their compassion extended to our whole family as we kept vigil around his bed.

We are very grateful for the loving support of Nazareth House - Prenton staff.

Overall Experience

Mum has been a resident of Nazareth House (NH) for nearly 4 years. During this time, she has been well looked after by caring, considerate staff (be they carers, cleaning/catering staff or management), who show great dignity and respect to all residents. Mum enjoys the food (all dietary requirements are met), as well as a range of in-house services (hairdressing, chiropody). In addition, the entertainments staff arrange regular activities, from visiting singers/performers to games, exercise regimes - and parties.

Choosing a care home is not just about appearances - it's about how well your loved one is looked after, that they are cared for in a respectful, clean and safe environment by staff who are dedicated to the well-being of residents.

We rang the bell, didn't have to wait long for door to be opened. Noticed coffee and very pretty cups and saucers for visitors to have a drink - fresh coffee made for us - a very nice touch. Flowers (fresh) on tables, and a budgie in the lounge upstairs. Staff as always very helpful and treating residents kindly. We took 2 residents out into the garden in wheelchairs to enjoy the sun. We spoke to the new manager on our way out to say how much these new touches improved the house, small beginnings but more to follow I think.

I like being in the home, they have plenty of entertainment. The girls are lovely, I am very happy here. We have plenty of friends. We have a party for our birthday, and we have a drink of sherry when we have a party.

My grandmother is 98 years old and is new to the care home. She was very warmly welcomed by all the staff on her arrival. Many remembered her from two previous respite visits. All staff have gone out of their way to learn her likes and dislikes, and to ensure that she is as comfortable as possible. Although she prefers to stay in her room, she is always invited to join in with the various activities on offer. She has enjoyed all the 'sing-a-longs', especially celebrating the queens 90th birthday. Also, she loves the regular hand massages.

Mother has lived here for a few years and has been very content. Though mentally impaired she seems happy in herself and certainly eats well. The carers seem fond of her and do a lot for her treating her with love and great dignity.
