Since my mum joined this care home, her health has improved remarkably. The nurses are not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate. The entertainment team keeps everyone engaged and happy, making it feel like a true community. I'm incredibly grateful for the positive environment they provide, which has made such a difference in my mum's well-being. Highly recommend!
Thank you for your review, it is lovely te read. Mum is a firecracker, we absoluetly feel her health has improved. "Oden and Youse" is starting to spread to the staff that don't speak like us which makes me laugh hearing it. Mum is so settled and enjoys the entertainment even if she only observes sometimes. Thanks so much.
Mum and the family really enjoyed the afternoon
Safe harbour staff always have residents wellbeing and happiness at the heart of everything they do . To see mum smile so much at an event they've planned just melts my heart
It was the same with mums birthday just like a family party at home with the room decorated table laid and mum being made to feel so special by everyone at the care home
Can't tell you how much we appreciate this
Thank you for this lovely review, we really appreciate the time you have taken to write this for us. Mum is great, she enjoys the family events and did so well at the Floral pavilion for our trip out. As a family we feel so supported by you both and thank you for every effort you put into being involved. Thank you so much, to you both.
As soon as she arrived she was made to feel welcome and put at ease by the wonderful staff team. The staff are really caring and patient and do everything possible to ensure that she is comfortable and well cared for and her room is bright and always very clean.
They have really taken the time to get to know her and how she reacts to certain situations so they can manage her care without her becoming distressed or upset.
The activity workers organise activities to keep the residents stimulated and involved and also put on events that family members can attend too.
The staff are always welcoming and happy to chat to us and provide updates as to how she has been and the nursing staff also keep us updated regarding her health.
I am really grateful that we found such a lovely place for her with such amazing people to care for her and keep her safe.
Thank you for this glowing report. We are so happy you are happy with Mum's care and can see how much the staff try to get to know her to offer the best person-centred care we can. Mum really enjoys the activities as you have seen firsthand and in many photos. I remember showing you both around and to think how she settled in so well, the worries all gone. We are happy you are happy.
My mum moved into Safe Harbour Care Home just over 3 weeks ago. Everyone at the home has been so lovely helping mum to settle in. She is enjoying all the different activities from bingo, singing, quiz nights, to making dog biscuits on National Guide Dog Day. She is well looked after and safe, and it is lovely not to worry about her so much.
Thank you for your lovely review after such a short time. Mum has settled in so well and is such a character, she often comes with me on show arounds and has us in stitches. The activities are fab aren't they, my team really do think about what things each person would enjoy and execute them so...
My mum has lived at Safe Harbour since November 2025 and I can honestly say that she is thriving under their care. Whether nursing, caring, cleaning, entertainment or even the handymen all have a smile and a wave.
I would recommend this home for any loved one in need of dementia care.
P.s They make the best cup of tea.
Thank you to all.
MC
Thank you so much for your lovely review. The team are well versed in tea making and I do think it should be recignised as a skill on your CV! Mum has done so well since coming in and she really enjoys the social side of things, always smiling and laughing along with everyone. We really appreciate the feedback
My Mum was in Safe Harbour for almost a year (January to November 2025). The whole team were amazing. They looked after her with such kindness and compassion. I can't fault the support, cleanliness and activities at the home. The carers could not have been more caring and the entertainment team were fun and encouraging. You could find a home with more polished and "posh" decor (many look like 5 star hotels!). Safe Harbour is simple and functional, it's nothing fancy to look at, but it's the warmth that you get from the carers that counts and my mum and I felt that from the moment we stepped in the door to visit until her last days. The residents are all happy and well cared for and that is obvious to see when you meet them along with their relatives.
Thank you for your lovely review, only today was Mum's name mentioned in conversation. We absolutely can not be described as posh but our team is outstanding and we're glad you think so too. Thank you for your support, we really appreciate the feedback and positive comments.
My Mother Rita, entered Safe Harbour care some time ago. The best thing I can say that they look after her as if she was their own Mother. They have always gone that extra mile and have been so kind to her. I don't live locally anymore so don't see her as much as I would like. However my brothers and sisters visit virtually every day and the staff keep them fully briefed on my Mum's health
Through their own initiatives they set up so many activities to coincide with what ever going on currently Grand National, Pancake day , Wimbledon. Eurovision etc which my Mum really enjoys. My family had a pretty traumatic time in the lead up to a mum going to Safe Harbour and we have had not had a seconds regret. She seemed happier at SF than she ever has.
Have moved away and having lived and worked around the country and I thinwhat makes Safe Harbours special is the staff. They all very special blend Merseyside warmth, kindness and humour. We as a family , I know are very grateful
Thank you for your thoughtful review. Mum is well loved and is very settled with us. Her smile and laugh is infectious, it is clear why she is so adored by all of her children as she is the loveliest lady. We do see your siblings everyday and they too are lovely and supportive. Mum really enjoyed...
My friend has a very pleasant room with a television. The staff arrange for the chiropodist and hairdresser for my friend when needed and when my friend agrees.
Thank you for your kind review. It is lovely to receive a review from a friend as almost every review we receive is from family member. I'm glad you are made to feel welcome and that you are happy your friend is well cared for. We appreciate your support.
There are not the words to say how amazing the staff are at Safe Harbour. They all go above and beyond their duties. I have observed them on a daily basis and they all genuinely care about every person there . Looking for a care home for someone you love is the most worrying experience. I looked at many and am so pleased I decided on Safe Harbour. My brother is safe and loved and well cared for. Every member of staff from the people who make sure the rooms are spotlessly clean, clothes washed daily and catering are amazing .
Thank you for a fabulous review. The whole team are fabulous aren't they, that's why it works so well. You've been a great support to us since the day you came, we really are grateful for all your help
I would love to say it has become a secure & happy home for her.
The staff are amazing & are very caring with all the residents including My Mum, nothing is too much trouble.
When I visit they make me feel welcome & are very accommodating. My visits are only two to three times a year as I live away, so each visit is precious to me.
I would highly recommend Safe Harbour to anyone who is looking for care for their loved ones.
Thank you for your review, and your support on on our social media pages. You are definitely the person that comments the most which we appreciate as the interactions really help us with that. Mum has always been a big character with us from the start, she is so lovely as is the whole family. 5 and a half years has whizzed by hasn't it! We appreciate all you have done for us over this time.
They are caring for brother at the most vulnerable time in his life, we couldn't be prouder of them for all they do for him. They show dignity and respect at all times and we are so happy.
I love seeing what they do during the day on social media.
Thank you for a lovely review. Your brother has been such a big part of the activities offered since he arrived, this is much less now so he is on social media less but he does still have one to one and will continue to do so as long as he wants to. I'm glad you take comfort knowing he is well loved by us all.
My Father paddy lived here until he passed last year for the 7 years he lived there he was treated as part of the family as were we, during his final days we were given so much support and space to get time alone with dad nothing was too much trouble they made sure we had plenty of tea and sandwiches and lots of emotional support , the level of care my dad received was outstanding, he was always treated with respect and dignity upheld, we were always informed of changes in his condition and included in decisions regarding his care this is an excellent care home! Thank you to all the staff and especially Holly who has been a constant source of support to my family even following my dads sad passing
Thank you for this lovely review. You guys are my day ones, the love and devotion you shown Dad was always something we all adored. As a family you have been so supportive of us, even during the pandemic when everything went upsdie down, you we're brilliant. Dad had a fantastic sense of humour, it...
She enjoyed being at the home and it is a tribute to their care that her dementia didn't get much worse over the years she was there and mum was smiley and happy. If you're after the best care and that is your priority I couldn't recommend Safeharbour more.
Thank you for your kind review. Reviews like this make us smile, such high praise indeed. I'm glad you as a family were happy with Mum's care and indeed final days were peaceful. We really appreciate the comments and time taken to write this
His previous care home could no longer support his needs and it was very upsetting having to move him, but it has turned out to be for the best. He is constantly stimulated through out the day with all the various activities on offer, and if he wishes for a quiet time then he retires to his room.
It is a very clean building that always smells fresh & clean.
All the staff from the management to carers, cleaners, maintenance, catering etc are very hard working and always polite and pleasant.
I am very happy that my dad is now being looked after here. I can leave after a visit knowing that he is, in his own words
'very content'.
Thank you for your lovely review. Meeting Dad at his previous home was lovely to meet him but we knew he would be better with us, especailly for socialising and activies purposes. Dad has settled in brilliantly and I am so glad for you as a family too. We appreciate the support you show to us as a team too.
My Mum has been in Safe Harbour for 21 months. I see Mum every week and see how caring the staff are to all of the residents. I feel a degree of comfort knowing Mum is in safe hands. The home have an incredible activities programme involving also family members.
Keep up the fabulous work you do
Chris
Thank you for this kind review. Mum is a happy person and enjoys the busy atmosphere of the home, there are lots of activities that Mum enjoys and especially those with sweet treats. We are glad you feel comfort from Mum being in a safe environment. Thank you for being a supportive family, we appreciate the support.
My wife is both non-verbal and immobile but the activities team still find ways to include her and the care staff make sure that there are lots of laughter and good humour moments.
If you are looking for something with a Fancy Reception Area and 4star rooms, then Safe Harbour isn't the place for you, however if it's real care with kind, warm, well trained staff you won't go wrong.
Thank you for the review. It is true, the home is more substance over style but we have a homely feel for certain. I can not believe it has only been 18 months, seems you both have been here longer. Thank you for your feedback.
My mother in law also a resident for the last 2 years. We cannot fault the carehome at all right from the management to every staff member. They are friendly and so kind and you leave feeling your loved ones are cherished
Thank you and keep up the good work!
Thank you for this lovely review. Time has flown for both your Mum and Mother in law being here with us. Getting positive reviews are always lovely to read and help boost the team but with the amount of involvement you have had with care homes, it means that bit mmore because we know that you...
I go daily so I see a lot, every day there is entertainment on, tea, biscuits and chocolate, the staff try to make the day fun and entertaining for everyone, in fact, when I retire, I want to work there!
Thank you for a lovely review, but who are you kidding? Retire? Never! Jokes aside, Mum is so much more settled in what she believes is a 5 star hotel, she certainly is happier and that can be seen during the activities and on the photos. Mum is very lucky to have a lovely family surrounding her...
My dad was a resident here for nearly 8 years, he was treated with such care, love and dignity and I never had a complaint, and as a family member, was kept advised of everything in dad's care and his day to day routine. Staff always found ways to entertain all residents and even when dad became bed bound, he was given such care and love and 1-2-1 attention such as sensory lights, pampers and music sessions, etc.
My dad did pass away 12 months ago but I still feel this review is relevant to now, as I continue to visit for fundraisers and can still feel the love and care from the minute I walk through the door.
Such an amazing team and I wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous care home for loved ones.
Thank you for this lovely review. We love that you still join us for the family events. Once a family member, always a family member. You and your sister have been a great support to us, I often think of the trip to the art gallery when you both came with us and many times you have sent items via...
I was always welcome to visit, and often joined in with the activities.
The activities coordinators are fab, working so hard to provide stimulating and fun activities for all the residents.
The care staff are wonderful, providing support when needed, but encouraging independence for as long as possible.
Management are present, and take an active interest in the residents, chatting with them, and ensuring their needs are met.
All the staff pull together for the benefit of the residents.
Thank you for everything
Thank you for this warm review. We loved having Mum with us and can't thank you enough for your daily support including singing for us on so many occasions which we all enjoyed. We will miss you all as a lovely family.
