The care home is always very clean and has no horrible smells. The staff are friendly and helpful. They look after my mum very well. The Chaplain is very nice and helps my mum with Christian input that my mum is very happy with. The lady doing the activities is very professional and includes my mum
in everyday activities that makes her stay so much more enjoyable.

Always very welcoming and staff very helpful. All areas are very clean and during the coronavirus period once outside visiting was allowed it seems as though every safety precaution was taken.

My husband has been in the home since January of this year. I have found that the staff have been patient and supportive of his needs; nothing is too much trouble. Initially, he would not join in things, but now thanks to the staff and activity coordinator's encouragement, he now joins in with everything
and really enjoys. I would like to thank the staff for keeping our loved ones safe during the outbreak of covid-19, it has been heartbreaking for some families, and our thoughts are with them.

My mother has been in this care home for three years and has been visited regularly by members of our family. During this period we have visited at all times of the day and always been greeted with the same professionalism. The rooms are always immaculately clean as are the residents. The facilities,
showers and toilet are to a high standard as well. The care and compassion along with the patience of the staff is exemplary. We are regularly updated on any matter by staff members and we are shown the activity book for mum so we can discuss activity she has taken part in as a prompt. The staff even arranged my brothers 60th birthday so my mother could be part of it. We have attended the entertainment on occasions and all residents thoroughly enjoy this. My mother is not the easiest resident to manage and is prone to repetition and also to outbursts of anger. However, at all times she is reassured and dealt with very professionally. I would recommend the home to anyone who is looking.

I would like to thank all the care staff, office, carers, nurses, cleaners, laundry staff and anyone I might have forgotten. Since my father entered the home I have found everyone very welcoming and obliging, always cheerful and will pass the time of day with visitors. I appreciate the task everyone

A wonderful care home, run by a well-organised team, who are always most welcoming. As we live some distance away, we can’t visit routinely. Nevertheless, when we do visit my parents (both are residents for dissimilar medical conditions - dementia and Parkinson's), it is apparent that they are being
well looked after. My mum, in particular, is now much more settled than she was when she initially went into the home. Great care seems to have been taken to get to know them both and to settle them into their new surroundings. At this stage, I cannot ask for more - my parents are able to spend time together, in comfortable, safe surroundings; cared for by highly professional staff who have their best interests at heart. I feel lucky that we have such a strong team, from management and nursing staff, to catering (lovely food!), carers, cleaners and the maintenance team. I do not underestimate the size of the task and fully appreciate their collective efforts.

Such a bright, cheerful home. The staff are so pleasant and friendly. They can't do enough for you. Lots going on and lots of interaction between residents and staff. Keep them well entertained. Only positive comments to make. It is absolutely marvellous.

Our mum made the very difficult decision that she would need to move into Residential Care after 14 months of fiercely trying desperately to maintain her independence. I cannot praise the manager and all the staff enough, how welcome they made mum feel and easy the transition from home and independence
into their care. The change in mum was absolutely remarkable, all our family who had been so very worried and the staff were so amazed and thankful.


Mum is very short-sighted, being registered blind and becoming increasingly deaf, familiarity is of utmost importance to her. Staff are very aware of her vulnerability, simple things like introducing themselves when they speak to mum (not always aware they are there). Mum's radio is her lifeline and the staff appreciate how important it is to her. It can be a full-time job for the carers, ensuring the radio is on the right frequency and headphones are plugged in.


Staff work together with our family and this makes life so much easier and mum happy.

My mother was 100 years old last month. The staff organised a tea party and cake for her and the residents. Since then they have framed her 100th birthday cards and the telegram from the Queen. All this was done by the staff and management, our family were delighted as was my mother. She had a large
bunch of flowers form your Chief Executive. This was care of the highest order.

As this is the first time I have been involved in visiting a care home in which my wife spent some time I was quite impressed with the setup. I would certainly have no compunction in letting her have a further stay in Chapel Fields if it becomes necessary.

My father has been living in Chapel Fields for the last 7 months where he is receiving nursing care. The staff are friendly and approachable and care for my father in a sympathetic and professional way. There are always activities planned for the residents should they want to get involved and mix
socially with the other residents. Overall my father is very happy and well cared for.
