My 93-year-old Dad has been receiving great care at Lawton Manor since being discharged from hospital last month. The staff are very kind, patient and focused on the residents' wellbeing. The food is always tasty and thoughtfully prepared and there's a good variety of entertainment and activities. The home itself is well-maintained, very clean and welcoming. We feel very lucky to have found such a caring place for Dad.

Very friendly staff who really get to know the residents and engage with them. The manor is beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard and has several comfortable lounges to meet in. The grounds are very well maintained and overlook open countryside. The food is excellent and varied with menu choices at mealtimes. Daily entertainment and other activities are provided. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. I feel that my father is in the best possible place.

Activity staff are brilliant and entertainment provided is superb.

Lawton Manor has been absolutely fabulous, flexible, supportive and caring. Every member of the teams welcomes residents and guests alike as if they are part of our famly. I feel reassured leaving my mum in their care, knowing she is safe, well looked after and happy. What a brilliant team. We have to use their respite care on occasions now and they have responsive in an emergency every time. I'm not sure she really wants to be anywhere else!

Each member of staff is excellent, treating each resident with respect, dignity, and genuine compassion. The home is always clean and bright and tastefully decorated. All rooms cheerful and well furnished. Lots of daily activities organised to entertain the varying wishes of the residents, including day trips out and visiting animals. Our family is delighted mum is able to stay long term in such a comfortable home and most importantly to be cared for by these staff.

My first experience with Lawton Manor was when my grandad became unwell and had to move there in March of last year on palliative end of life care. It was an incredibly hard time for our family, but the staff made it so much more bearable. They treated him with such care, dignity, and compassion and they welcomed all of us, especially my nan, with open arms. We were able to be with him often, have meals, and truly feel like we were part of a big, supportive family not just visitors in a care home. When my nan's health began to decline earlier this year, we didn't hesitate to ask for her to be referred to Lawton Manor too for end of life care. The staff remembered her from when she had been there with my grandad, which brought such comfort and familiarity to both of us. Since she moved in, the same kindness, professionalism, and warmth have been ever-present. I feel so reassured knowing she's in such good hands.

My mother has been a resident at Lawton Manor care home for the last nine months until she passed away two weeks ago. Throughout this time she has received a high level of care and love from all staff. Even though she was unable to leave her room due to being bed riddened to attend activities she was never left out as the staff came to read or chat with her frequently she seemed to think of them as friends. Towards the end especially on her last day the staff showed a high level of professionalism to mum and the family. We never left visiting her at Lawton Manor with any worries or concerns about her care which has been outstanding at all times. We appreciated how the staff interacted with us in a very caring manner.. A very big thank you Lawton Manor from the family.

Think twice about placing a family member here. This facility prioritises profit over providing the high-quality care that residents deserve and are paying over £1550 per week for.

A first-class experience in all respects: for the patient, this meant the care/treatment and interpersonal interaction that could not be improved upon. For family and friends, it meant a welcoming/informative and professional leadership and service which could not be improved upon. For both parties the facilities offered by the establishment go beyond everyday expectations they excel. An establishment to be mighty proud of.

My dad, aged 95, was admitted to Lawton Manor in March 2024 for palliative end-of-life care. From day one the team were wonderful and made such an effort to get to know him and us as a family. They encouraged my mum to visit for lunches and made sure both birthdays and their 72nd wedding anniversary was celebrated too. The care has been truly amazing, from the nursing team, care and activities team, laundry, kitchen and everyone- I know Dad felt safe in his final months, which is all we could have asked for. Whilst Dad sadly passed in August, the team made possible some lovely memories in his last 6 months which we wouldn't have had - so much so we recently returned to celebrate his life for an afternoon tea with friends and family, staff and residents.

The staff who look after their patients are such dedicated caring lovely people. All the staff want to make sure the patients' needs and care are lovingly applied. Food is excellent. Cleanliness is perfect. The reassurance the family feels is so appreciated. Nothing is too much trouble. Care and attention are wonderful. People here are treated with respect. What a joy and relief to see such happiness.

Our father received excellent care throughout his stay and the staff are fantastic in all departments, we would like to say a huge thank you to all for the care given to Dad and us, as a family. We would highly recommend Barchester Lawton Manor Care Home.

My father was cared for in Lawton Manor care home for the last three weeks of his life. We found the standard of his care from all the staff was outstanding. His care was personalised to his individual needs and the needs of his family. Nothing seemed too much trouble. At the end of his life, he was treated with dignity and respect.

The fact that our daughter is still alive is due to the excellent nursing care and general care within the home. Residents are treated as individuals and flourish as a result. Everyone is treated with affection and respect and routines adjusted, according to individual needs. It comes across as a "home" rather than and institution which, to any long-term resident, is essential in order to retain their quality of life.

Dad was referred to Lawton Manor Care Home for end-of-life care in the last month of his life in May 2024 and I want to sincerely thank all the staff for the wonderful care he received there. Nothing was too much in terms of helping Dad to be comfortable and to find the right room for his mobility and needs. They even sourced a bigger bed for Dad's 6ft 4' frame. I was impressed by the levels of care Dad received that always maintained his dignity right to the end. All of the staff - from the administrative staff through to the nurses and carers were absolutely lovely and this really contributes to the happy atmosphere that is tangible at Lawton Manor. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are cleaned regularly. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the house. The thing that makes the home special though is the staff, many of whom felt like friends by the end of Dad's life. I shall forever be grateful for the way that they made Dad's last days bearable for us as a family.

I had to vacate my house as the kitchen ceiling collapsed. I did not want a noisy hotel. I have a broken knee joint and a budgerigar who would have to join me. The Lawton Manor Care Home found me a room and accepted the budgerigar at very short notice. I found all of the staff to be pleasant and helpful. They put themselves out to modify the food menus to suit the problems with my IBS and are very tolerant of the budgie seed, which is an extra task for cleaners.
