The staff at Newton Court are polite, friendly and above all caring. My brother does have issues with the food but he is vegetarian which is sometimes the problem, having said this he can be a fussy eater. The member of staff in reception is always welcoming, super friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your kind words. It is always nice to hear from family members feeling like their loved one is cared for and looked after. We will discuss your feedback with the home's manager to help them continually improve their service.
I feel that my Dad is as content as can be hoped and well looked after at Newton Court. The home is warm and welcoming, with lots of nice touches and smells clean. The rooms are maintained to a high standard and communal areas are well cared for with decorations up for festivals etc. The staff are pleasant with my Dad and always friendly towards my daughters and I when we visit. The meals are appetising and good portions. There is a varied programme of activities and events on offer, pictures of such are shared on the Facebook page which is nice to see. The reception team are approachable and helpful. I would recommend the home to others.
Thank you for taking the time to leave the staff at Newton Court such a lovely review. We are thrilled to hear that the interior of the home is of a high standard and that your Dad is content and settled at the home. It is lovely to hear words such as "friendly", "approachable" and "helpful" to describe our staff. We hope that your Dad continues to enjoy his stay within the home.
I have a very positive experience with Newton Court. My mum has recently been moved to nursing floor from residential, the staff have treated us with care and empathy. Always ask how we are. All staff treat Mum with respect and show genuine kindness at all times.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy to hear staff at Newton Court did everything to make the transition as easy as possible for Mum and yourselves. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
My mother receives good consistent care at Newton Court on a 24/7 basis from a Team who are clearly well-managed and motivated. Care of the elderly is at times challenging and not always rewarding but I am forever reassured that Newton Court delivers a professional approach to care on the difficult days as well as on the good days! Activities are also regularly arranged for residents which provides variety, a different focus in the diary and very much encourages socialisation. Feedback from management is also provided on an ad hoc and need-to-know basis and when a periodic review of care is necessary then senior management accommodates such requests.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mother in our care and we are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. We hope to continue providing your loved one with the best possible care and please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
As relatives we are always welcomed by friendly staff and the atmosphere around the home is warm and inviting.
We are so grateful to have the peace of mind that Mum is well looked after and thank you to all the amazing staff that make this happen!
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Mum in our care and that you all feel like part of our Newton Court family. I have found the staff very friendly and approachable. They always have time to listen to any questions I may have. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I do not have any concerns. The food for my mum is pureed as she has a problem swallowing. My mum is made comfortable considering how poorly she isn't.
Thank you for your feedback. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your mum in our care. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
Having just moved my mother to Newton Court at the beginning of this month. Could not have had a more warmer welcome. The care mother has had so far is excellent, Food housekeeping and every body working in the home are to very high standards.
Thank you for your review. We are really pleased to hear you've received such a hospitable and warm welcome from the home and hope your Mother is settling in well. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
It’s great to know my father-in-law is well cared for and looked after he always looks clean and tidy when we visit and very happy. All the staff are lovely to him and ourselves. Love following the home on social media and seeing what he gets up to.

My son came to Newton Court Care Home in February following a long hospital admission, the long term goal is eventually for him to go home and live independently. He has received excellent care by everyone at the home, I would recommend the home to others. All the staff are amazing, nothing is too much.
Thank you for your lovely review. We hope Newton Court Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible after his long hospital admission. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your son's stay as comfortable as possible.
My father, who is ninety-three, has just completed one year in Newton Court. We were, as a family, all unsure of how things would turn out. I'm very satisfied to say we had no need to worry. My dad loves the staff and the atmosphere they create, by spending time to care for the person as well as the body. Many thanks for making Dad's later life more comfortable and peaceful. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to help you and your family through such a difficult time and we hope Newton Court Care Home did everything possible to make the transition as easy as possible. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your Dad received the best possible care.
My Dad spent 7 months at Newton Court after he was transferred there from Leighton Hospital following a series of falls and subsequent illnesses. The care provided throughout his stay was exemplary. As dad's physical and mental health declined, the staff at Newton Court were constantly patient and caring. The care the team offered was holistic; they understood that although dad was their patient, my elderly mum and the extended family also needed their care and compassion. Little things like offering mum a cup of tea during her visits were simple gestures that meant a huge amount. The team at Newton Court held compassion central to their care for dad, ensuring he maintained his dignity for the last months of his life. I cannot praise or thank them enough.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is so nice to hear you describe the care we provided as exemplary. We are glad that we were able to help support the whole family through this difficult time and hope that knowing how well your dad was cared for is comforting to you now.
My father became a permanent resident of Newton Court 5 years ago after a brief period of respite care and I am happy to say that the care he received was excellent. The care team and current manager are excellent. The care was still of the highest quality even during the huge challenges of Covid. The entire staff worked really hard to keep the spirits of the residents up in the most trying circumstances and did their utmost to keep the families and friends of the residents connected despite the strict protocols for Covid. No one could have asked for a more dedicated group of people to look after our Dad, keeping him happy and comfortable during his final illness. It is of great comfort to our entire family that Dad's final 5 years were so happy at Newton Court. I wish to thank the manager and his excellent staff for looking after our Dad so well and keeping him happy and content in his final years. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Newton Court, under Charlie's management to anyone.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are sorry for your loss, please accept our condolences. It is nice to hear that you felt your father was cared for well in the years he was in our care home and that you felt he was kept comfortable and happy during his final illness. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your Father received the best possible care.
My mother was a resident at Newton Court, initially on the ground floor, then as her needs changed she moved upstairs for Nursing Care. She received excellent care and the manager and staff showed endless patience, treated her with kindness and dignity and they were always there for her with smiles and encouragement. During difficult times when we were not allowed to visit, the staff were her friends and family, organising treats and activities. The manager is approachable and was there to update and support us as a family when my mother became unwell or we needed advice. He is very much hands-on and makes time to get to know his residents. Based on my own experience I would recommend Newton Court.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear that you feel the care your mum received from everyone at Newton Court was excellent. Thank you for your recommendation.
My father has received excellent care in very difficult circumstances. The accessibility to the management is much appreciated. The work done filters down to the staff in every department. Who mostly seem happy in their work and care about the residents well being and continued care. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words. We are glad to hear that you feel your Father is receiving excellent care from everyone at Newton Court. Thank you again for your review.
My mum has been looked after by the manager and his team for over two years now and through some difficult times. The manager has been great at keeping us updated and has helped my dad to visit mum, keeping them both happy. The staff is kind and helpful and the food is great. The manager and his team helped us set up mum’s phone in her room during the repeated lockdowns and this was a lifesaver to allow dad to face time each day. I really liked popping in to see my mum when it wasn’t so hard and enjoyed chatting to the staff and seeing what they had done with displays and activities. I hope that day will come again when we can wander in as that’s when it felt like home, not a home. Thanks to all the hard-working team who look after our precious family members so well, one of these days to say you are a care worker will be held in high esteem, for now, accept our thanks and gratitude for all you do, as they say, we will all be old one day.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to have been able to help support you all through what has certainly been a very challenging time with the pandemic. Thank you again for your kind words.
I wanted to submit a recent review of Newton Court to give extra recognition to the staff. My mother is a resident on the nursing floor and I am so very grateful to everyone involved in her care. Her dietary needs can be difficult to manage and the staff have really gone over and above in encouraging her with snacks and drinks of her preference and the lady who looks after refreshments are superb and always offers friendly encouragement. I have seen some lovely photos of my mother participating in activities with staff. She has always had a scalp problem and a member of the care team communicated with me that she was finding it to be improving and gave a feeling that she genuinely cared, which is lovely. The lady in reception is extremely well organised and always helpful and polite and I feel the current management team have built a great team and also communicated well to family members.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. It is nice to hear that you feel mum is still being looked after well. Thank you for choosing Newton Court for your mum's stay.
My Mum is well looked after at Newton Court. She is as happy as she can be at this time. The care cannot be better, the staff keeps me informed on how she is and this has been so important as we can't visit her because of covid.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments, it is lovely to hear that you feel mum is well looked after and is happy. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do to make her stay more comfortable.
We couldn't have wished for a better home for my Mum to be cared for, she really loves the management and staff and trusts them, making her feel relaxed and happy. The management and staff are so dedicated to the residents, showing respect, courtesy, and caring friendliness making everyone feel special whilst being professional and efficient at the same time. The relatives are also treated with the same respect and caring nature, with regular communications regarding your loved one and any changes within the home, especially in these difficult times. When you walk into the home you feel the loving, warm, caring and friendly atmosphere, they are not just staff, they are like caring friends. When you depart, you leave with a warm piece of mind feeling inside knowing your loved one is in trusted, caring, and safe hands. I would recommend the home to anyone.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are so happy to hear you have peace of mind knowing your Mum is being well cared for at Newton Court and that you can feel the warm loving atmosphere. Thank you again for your kind words.
I can't praise the staff enough for all the help and support they have shown to my cousin in very difficult times, excellent staff. Would recommend the home to anyone who was looking for a well-run home.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to have been able to support you all through what has certainly been a very challenging time with the pandemic. Thank you for your recommendation.
My dad was only at Newton Court for five weeks. I'm upset he wasn't able to make the most of the activities available to the residents due to his poor health. But with this said, the staff's constant interaction with my dad was so reassuring. My dad was very poorly upon arriving and all the team went above and beyond to support my dad and myself. I lived 7 hours away and the team was always so happy to speak to me and aid in video calls. The care was so kind and personal, I loved the laughter, I dreaded dad going to a home but within five minutes, I really was happy with my dad's placement. They are a team. They really have a firm place in my heart because it's more than just a job, the staff care and each one is a special person.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your comments. We are sorry for your loss and please accept our condolences. We are glad to have helped you and your family through such a difficult time. Hopefully, you will go away from this feeling like your Dad received the best possible care.

Meet the Team (5)

My career in the care sector dates back more than twenty years. It started in the NHS before my passion for occupational health drew me into CIPD in management, and eventually to a role with Bupa clinics. Overall, I've been with Bupa for 15 years.
My role blends all the different skills I've learned in my career to date, from compliance to care and empathy. Every day is different, though, and I ultimately have overall responsibility for everything, from the health and safety of the team to the happiness and well-being of the people that live here.
I'm surrounded by a really established team, almost like a family, and I think that in itself makes sure that Newton Court feels like a home first and foremost. It gives me great pride and motivation knowing that the team are in a position to make someone's life the best it could possibly be.

I joined Bupa in 2020. I am originally from Africa and have lived in England for 25 years.

I had previous experience as a private chef in London before I joined the team here at Newton Court. I enjoy making healthy and nutritious meals for residents.

I've worked at Newton Court for 5 years. I first started as a residential care worker, then I moved onto activities, where I found my forever job. I just love making residents happy with different activities - from their favourite games, organising a variety of events and entertainment, to one-to-one conversations with a cup of tea. It really makes my day when residents tell me how much they enjoy our activities.

I joined Bupa 4 years ago as a Senior Carer before moving into the Maintenance Operative role, which I love.
I enjoy maintaining Newton Court to help improve the home for our residents to live in comfort.
