My mother was in Newton Court for a week’s respite and had never been in a home before, so it was very important that she had a good experience. Our visit to the home prior to her stay really put our minds at rest. Since she returned home here with me, my mother has been full of praise about every aspect of her stay- she actually said there was nothing she could find fault with! Amazing! I am sure she will be returning for a stay in the not too distant future.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad to hear that your Mum has been full of praise after her stay with us. Please let us know if we can help again in future.
I feel I must write this review to thank the manager who has facilitated my mother's first garden visit/outing since March 20. All the staff and managers have been great organizing this special surprise outing. Mum really enjoyed the garden and thankfully the weather improved and the sun shone. Once again a big thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your thanks. We are so happy to be able to arrange these visits for our residents after such a long and difficult year.
I am thankful I had visited Newton Court earlier last year and thought it would be a lovely care home for Mum if required.
Due to the pandemic, everything was out of our hands. In normal circumstances, I would have taken Mum from the hospital to Newton Court. Obviously, this was not possible.
Thanks to the wonderful carers and management at the home Mum has settled in very well.
The staff at Newton Court are always lovely and cheery when we phone. The nurse is always available to chat about Mum, as due to restrictions set by the government we are unable to visit, we are delighted she is looking after Mum, she is lovely.
The wonderful care manager always responds to emails and keeps us informed about the care homes position re restrictions and visits.
We are so glad to hear in this difficult time you feel you are still kept well informed and involved in Mum's care! We are doing absolutely everything we can in our homes to ensure loved ones feel as connected as possible, and it is fantastic to have it noticed! We will certainly pass your lovely words on to the staff at Newton court. Thank you!
Thank you so much to all of you.
We are very sorry about your loss. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you or your family.
The care staff have been excellent in her care, treating her with dignity and respect and understanding her ever-changing demeanour.
Although communication within the home, regarding updating care plans and consistency of communication with the family has been in question, since the new manager has been in charge communication has been excellent.
Thank you, everyone, for looking after Mum, especially during these challenging and ever-changing times.
Keep safe and look forward to seeing you all when it is safe to do so.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us such lovely comments. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your Mum in our care. Kind regards.
My father was admitted into Newton Court in 2013. Ever since he arrived, he has received outstanding care from those working in the home across all the years he has been a resident. Newton Court seems to have an unusually stable staffing base, and the carers are fantastic - utterly professional, caring and friendly and who go the extra mile to ensure my father feels valued and cared for. I need never worry about his care and am just so grateful he is a resident at Newton Court. Well done to all the management and staff.
Thank you for your praise. We are very happy to hear you can feel at ease with your father in our care.
I have spent six weeks here after leaving hospital. The standard of care is excellent. All staff are pleasant and helpful. The food is first-class just like home-cooked. The evening meal is a little early for me but there is a light supper at 9.30 pm. The night staff assisted me to get walking again, being very patient while I tried to do things for myself. I have no hesitation in recommending Newton Court. More staff would help at busy periods for 'loo' duties. My thanks to everyone for taking care of me. It is much appreciated.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy to hear you were satisfied with the quality of our care.
Well looked after, good meals and care. Have already booked a few days at Easter we were so pleased with the care home, staff and manager.

My treatment has been superb and all your staff have a special place in my heart.
Thank you from us both.

Very happy with the care my Auntie is receiving. She is treated with dignity and respect and the carers are always very approachable and professional at all times. My Auntie is at end of life and this is extremely upsetting for us as a family but everyone has been so helpful and supportive.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that your Auntie is having a positive experience whilst staying in our home. We appreciate your comments of our staff and glad that you are being well supported. We will share your feedback with the home's manager. The Bupa Customer Care Team.
Unfortunately, the receptionist on the front desk is not representative of the carers and nurses we deal with regularly and does not give a welcoming feel when approached. We are also not currently aware of who is the manager or deputy manager of the home. Our only criticism of the home would be that more carers and permanent, not agency, nurses are needed on each shift.
The atmosphere has improved as new management seem to be making a difference and seem to care about the residents. Staff always go above and beyond and are always willing to help.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments of our home.
Staff at Newton Court are friendly and helpful. They always try to help and support my nana. They could maybe do with a few more staff, but the staff that are there go above and beyond and always try their best.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience and appreciate your comments of our home.

Meet the Team (5)

My career in the care sector dates back more than twenty years. It started in the NHS before my passion for occupational health drew me into CIPD in management, and eventually to a role with Bupa clinics. Overall, I've been with Bupa for 15 years.
My role blends all the different skills I've learned in my career to date, from compliance to care and empathy. Every day is different, though, and I ultimately have overall responsibility for everything, from the health and safety of the team to the happiness and well-being of the people that live here.
I'm surrounded by a really established team, almost like a family, and I think that in itself makes sure that Newton Court feels like a home first and foremost. It gives me great pride and motivation knowing that the team are in a position to make someone's life the best it could possibly be.

I joined Bupa in 2020. I am originally from Africa and have lived in England for 25 years.

I had previous experience as a private chef in London before I joined the team here at Newton Court. I enjoy making healthy and nutritious meals for residents.

I've worked at Newton Court for 5 years. I first started as a residential care worker, then I moved onto activities, where I found my forever job. I just love making residents happy with different activities - from their favourite games, organising a variety of events and entertainment, to one-to-one conversations with a cup of tea. It really makes my day when residents tell me how much they enjoy our activities.

I joined Bupa 4 years ago as a Senior Carer before moving into the Maintenance Operative role, which I love.
I enjoy maintaining Newton Court to help improve the home for our residents to live in comfort.
