Overall care and attention is good. Being a person more able than a lot of the residents I do object to staff entering my room at all hours enquiring 'are you alright'.
If I had a problem I have a buzzer and I do cherish my independence.

After considering various care homes, we decided on Sunrise of Mobberley for my elderly mother because it has a warm and friendly feel to it and is able to offer specialised professional care to residents with dementia. My mother has been resident at Sunrise for 6 months and is very happy there.

I felt completely at ease as soon as I walked into this beautiful home, the staff are welcoming, friendly, helpful and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. The suites are superb I struggled to find suitable accommodation for both my parents and this was as close as I could get. Excellent food, decor,
care, activities and gardens, I cannot praise Sunrise Mobberly highly enough!

My residence here continued to be very pleasant since my arrival, with no complaints either relating to my room, and the carers also. About six weeks ago, I suffered a really serious angina attack and almost thought it was a small heart attack. Well, all the time (many hours), two carers stayed with
me in direct contact with the medical nurse by telephone and during the ambulance visit. They were so patient and later the next day I was attended to by an excellent doctor.

6 and a half years experience living at Sunrise has been very satisfactory. Although initially active and independent, with the passage of time and ageing, we have come to appreciate the immediate help forthcoming on those occasions when the emergency blue alarm had been activated due to falls, faints,
stroke etc.


Very busy care staff are always helpful and friendly when approached and they respect our independence and privacy. Catering here at Mobberley is always of a very high standard and much appreciated, as is overall cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the development. Senior management is very much visible and approachable.

I have lived here for two and a half years with respiratory problems and have to use oxygen and an inhaler. On the whole, I am very well cared for both medically and everyday caring.

I have been here for 2 and a half years. I have noticed that due to the home now being 95% nursing which was not the case when I first arrived. The caring staff, due to the type of nursing care needed, their moral is low and they do not have time to talk to you when you sometimes need it.

Mum has settled into Sunrise of Mobberley really well. The staff are very caring and quickly adapt to different residents needs. Management is very good. My only small complaint would be surrounding the cleanliness of the area surrounding Mum's chair. Overall very satisfactory.

Very caring, particularly when ill or just out of hospital.
I have been a resident here for seven to eight years and crucially there were plenty of excursions in the bus.
It appears that bus outings are no longer considered important which is a shame.
Sunrise, although lovely, is extortionately expensive
- something that most people cannot afford.
What used to feel like a retirement home now feels like a nursing home.

I have lived at Sunrise of Mobberley and I have felt grateful that my family found this place for me to spend my latest years. They have been eventful with the loss of both legs and recuperation and I have received all the help I needed from carers and officials.
There have been minor difficulties,
which were quickly agreed and dealt with.

Care for my mother has been lovely since her very first day when staff carefully thought about the best room for her needs and the families. Staff in the home, including the nurses, care staff, dining and kitchen staff and concierges always welcome us the relatives and are genuinely keen to share positives
with us whilst being realistic about the difficulties she has following her stroke.

I have 14 years of experience in adult social care and children's services. I’ve worked hard through the years to gain skills and knowledge of many areas of health and social care for adults and children, and I have progressed through numerous roles over the years. Most recently, I achieved a registered manager’s role.


In this role, my focus is on ensuring we provide quality care and that residents and their families are happy. You need to have patience, good communication, listening skills and empathy. I love communicating with residents, their families and my colleagues. Every day, I feel inspired working alongside my team to provide good standards of care.
