The Willows provides residential, nursing, dementia, palliative and short-stay care for up to 61 residents in a peaceful gated community in Mobberley, Cheshire.

Overlooking a bowling green and just a short distance from Tatton Park and Knutsford, the home offers a tranquil setting with easy access to local attractions. All bedrooms are en-suite, and the layout is designed to feel like small households, each with its own kitchen, lounge, and dining space to foster connection and comfort.

The grounds feature level-access gardens, raised beds, a lake and wooded area, and spaces for summer fairs, BBQs and wildlife watching. Residents also enjoy feeding ducks by the lake or harvesting apples from the trees. Indoors, the recent refurbishment has added modern comfort while keeping the home’s warm, family feel.

Meals are freshly prepared with seasonal ingredients and resident input. From Sunday roasts to cheese and wine days, every mealtime is an opportunity to gather and enjoy. Baking sessions, international dishes and themed food events add variety throughout the year.

Activities include Armchair Travel Days, Seize the Day experiences, and visits from animals and local schoolchildren. Outings to the Lambing Shed, canal boat trips, and the Seven Sisters Ice Cream Parlour ensure there’s always something to look forward to.

At The Willows, care isn’t just about support, it’s about creating a community where residents thrive. Whether you’re searching for yourself or a loved one, for residential, nursing, dementia, palliative or short-stay care, the team at The Willows are here to help.

The Willows was chosen after a visit to a number of homes in the area. Experience has shown that this was a good decision.
The overall atmosphere in the home and the care and consideration given by the staff is excellent.

My father has been here for eight months since his ongoing vascular dementia meant he now needs 24 hour nursing care. He is in the general nursing section. He has settled well, cared for by the conscientious staff who do their utmost to do all they can for the residents. There is not a high turnover
of staff so they get to know the residents and families well and manage their ongoing physical and mental needs, nor are their optional side and emotional needs neglected, the chaplain is a supportive presence and the charitable nature of the care home is apparent in the ethos of the management.

Well managed with excellent attentive staff. Contact always made with the family whenever my mother had a fall or required treatment of any kind. Quality nursing care provided in house which removes the necessity of taking service users to the local hospital.
The staff are professional but maintain
a friendly and welcoming manner which is greatly appreciated when visits are made. The premises were always clean and tidy and there was always a pleasant atmosphere throughout the building. Highly recommended.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.743) out of 10 for The Willows Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.743 for The Willows Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (234 Excellents x 5) + (51 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 296 Ratings = 4.743
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Willows Nursing Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 registered maximum number of service users is 12.2, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
