Since I became a resident two years ago there has been a significant increase in the number of high-dependency dementia residents, which take up a lot of carers' time. This has led to a decrease in time that the carers have to spend meeting the needs of residents. This is not in any way the fault of the carers themselves, but there is a definite need to recruit more permanent staff in order for them to be able to meet residents' needs in a safe way, as people's lives are at risk and affected. Although the attention buzzers volume has been reduced, they need to be reduced further as they continually sound away and are stressful and cause anxiety.

My mother has been in Euxton Park for the last two weeks, after being discharged from hospital after a fall at home. She is very happy here, everyone is lovely and caring. It's a very clean, light and airy place, with plenty of activities. I would hope that if my mother has to stay in a home, that she can stay here. The meals are all handmade and she says they are tasty.

Carers are so wonderful and caring. My mother praises the home. The activities coordinator is a wonderful person, my mother thinks the world of her and does her nails perfectly.

Mum was a resident in the Nursing Unit from June 2021 to August 2021. Sadly mum passed away on 28th August 2021. I want to thank all the staff for their care and support during her stay, mum was aware of her diagnosis and the staff were brilliant at helping her come to terms with the illness. I particularly want to thank the Regional Manager who went above and beyond to help mum (and myself) when she was upset and her condition deteriorated. End-of-life care was exceptional. Thank you.

Cleanliness of room and carpet. Activities not obvious. Clothing gone missing and not looked after. Personal fan gone missing, then been replaced with old rusty and dirty one (different brand). Cleanliness of nails (dirty and long).

My dad has been in the care of Euxton Park since July 2018. I cannot stress enough how delighted we are with the staff, management and care that dad receives. Nothing is too much trouble, staff go above and beyond their roles to make sure dad is comfortable and looked after. They also treat my mum and myself with the utmost respect and have been incredibly supportive, especially during the pandemic. The home now has amazing activities and events for residents and these are delivered with enthusiasm and energy by the activity staff so well done to them. Although dad can't be involved in all the activities the staff go out of their way to make sure he's involved and encourage him to engage. Thank you to you all. You should be very proud of yourselves!

I am happy to recommend Euxton Park, the staff have looked after our mum as if she was family. They have worked tirelessly during the pandemic keeping her happy, taking the time to explain why we couldn't visit her. When we visit she always says "It's lovely here the people are so kind and the food is lovely." The home is always clean, warm and welcoming. There is always something going on, craft baking etc. Regular photo updates in lockdown. The staff are truly amazing.

My friend seems to be settling in after three weeks. She says the food is good and residents are mostly friendly. Early issues have been resolved by cooperative staff. The big issue is the very annoying "help" buzzer in the corridor. My friend has good hearing and has to close her door for peace and quiet. I and my visiting colleagues also found this very annoying. Some other care homes have silent alert systems.
