My dad has been in the care of Euxton Park since July 2018. I cannot stress enough how delighted we are with the staff, management and care that dad receives. Nothing is too much trouble, staff go above and beyond their roles to make sure dad is comfortable and looked after. They also treat my mum and
myself with the utmost respect and have been incredibly supportive, especially during the pandemic. The home now has amazing activities and events for residents and these are delivered with enthusiasm and energy by the activity staff so well done to them. Although dad can't be involved in all the activities the staff go out of their way to make sure he's involved and encourage him to engage. Thank you to you all. You should be very proud of yourselves!

I am happy to recommend Euxton Park, the staff have looked after our mum as if she was family. They have worked tirelessly during the pandemic keeping her happy, taking the time to explain why we couldn't visit her. When we visit she always says "It's lovely here the people are so kind and the food
is lovely." The home is always clean, warm and welcoming. There is always something going on, craft baking etc. Regular photo updates in lockdown. The staff are truly amazing.

The staff are very helpful and do their best to help the residents. The staff also try to entertain the residents in quite difficult times. I have no complaints about Euxton Park Care Home; my father is being cared for very well, and the staff are on hand to help him with all his needs.

My mum was in this care home until she passed away. The staff are caring, very hard working and treat residents like their own family. There is a great feel to the home from staff and other residents. I know she enjoyed her time here.

My friend seems to be settling in after three weeks. She says the food is good and residents are mostly friendly. Early issues have been resolved by cooperative staff. The big issue is the very annoying "help" buzzer in the corridor. My friend has good hearing and has to close her door for peace and
quiet. I and my visiting colleagues also found this very annoying. Some other care homes have silent alert systems.

My mother-in-law was cared for with the utmost dignity and compassion during the last 2 weeks of her life which she spent in Euxton Park. The home is beautifully clean and welcoming. Her daughters and son want me to add that they were so impressed with the caring staff who couldn't do enough. Thank
you so much for your help at this sad time. No hesitation in recommending Euxton Park for anyone looking for superb care for their loved ones

My friend spent her last days at Euxton Park Care Home and the care she had was second to none. The girls were courteous and attentive, popping in as they passed her room with a smile and pleasant greeting. My friend was a devout Christian and the staff would read to her from the bible when she was
unable to do this herself. To the day she died even though she was not conscious in the later stages. After she passed away the staff were still concerned enough to ensure her beloved belongings were properly dealt with. Many thanks for your care.

My Mother-in-law has been in this care home for August 2016. The food is horrendous. It's all tinned or packet rubbish. She lives on cold toast, jacket potatoes and chips. We try and take her good, healthy, fresh food a few times a week to help her out.
The carers are lovely, friendly and helpful.
The managers aren't great. It's very clean.
She also doesn't get regular showers which isn't good enough.

By and large, the staff at the home are friendly and efficient. At times, meals can be a little disappointing given the cost of the facility to residents.
I feel that the well-being of residents of residents could be greatly enhanced by one to one visits from non-care based staff.

My wife has been a resident here since 2009. Her experience here has been good throughout. She has an excellent relationship with all carers and senior staff and the present regime is the best we have experienced. Improvements are making the home more welcoming and comfortable and we are generally happy
with how things are progressing.

My mum was made to feel very welcome and encouraged to bring her own possessions and furniture to personalise her room and to help her to feel at home and settled. She was always allowed to have her own bedding and curtains and she believed that she was in a hotel, rather than a care home. The staff
were really caring and thoughtful to my mum, especially in her last days. This care and compassion extended to supporting the family during her end of life care and in the period afterwards. We were not rushed to clear out the room and they helped with this as well.

Sadly Mum needed a nursing home three years ago, I looked at six other homes before EUXTON PARK. It was an easy decision to make as EUXTON PARK was by far the best. From day one I knew I had made the right choice. Mum is well looked after by friendly caring staff. I want the best for Mum and that is
definitely what she is getting.

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.829)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.829) out of 10 for Euxton Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.545 for Euxton Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 22 Ratings = 4.545
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.284 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Euxton Park Care Home is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 63 registered maximum number of service users is 12.6. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.6 = 0.159
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
