Cannot praise The Grove enough. They have given my dad exactly what he needed, plenty of interaction and care. This is from all staff. I am totally happy with the care he receives, he loves it there.
Thank you for your kind words, I will ensure the staff are made aware. Your Dad is a pleasure to care for and he makes everyone smile with his singing and stories.
We took time to review a number of nursing homes before moving my mum to The Grove in August 2022 after mixed experiences at her previous nursing home. The Grove had excellent reviews and our experience of meeting the manager and staff gave us confidence that Mum would be in good hands in a safe, clean and friendly environment. That initial feeling has proven to be right. All the staff are caring, professional and cheerful. Although bed-bound 24 hours a day, Mum has built up a good rapport with all the carers and nurses and trusts them all. Most importantly, she is happy with the care she receives. Also, when we go away on holiday, I have confidence that Mum is having the best possible care and they help with remote communication where necessary. I'd recommend this homely nursing home which treats residents and family with care and respect.
Thank you for your kind words, I will ensure the staff are made aware of the lovely compliments. Your mum is a pleasure to care for and always makes everyone smile.
There is regular communication with me if Mum's condition changes or if she has any concerns.
I recommend the Grove unconditionally. The care and professionalism are apparent from the moment you go through the doors.
Thank you for your kind words, Sarah. It is a pleasure to care for your mum; her sense of humour brightens our day.
The staff were excellent in the care they provided my father who had lost all mobility and also suffered from dementia. He was completely at their mercy but at all times they treated him with dignity and respect. I cannot praise them enough. There will always be issues but as soon as we had any concerns, we as a family were listened to and any concerns of ours were quickly dealt with.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I will ensure all staff are made aware of your lovely comments. Your father was a pleasure to care for and the whole family always made the day brighter when they came to visit.
The caring, professional feeling of warmth and love from all the staff was second to none. Not only the resident but the whole family were treated with love and affection. I cannot recommend this home too highly.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. It was a pleasure to meet all of your family. I will ensure the staff are made aware of your kind comments.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the care staff and nurses at the Grove care home, you have been truly amazing. Myself and the family cannot thank you enough for the care and love you have shown to my mum. Sadly, she passed away yesterday and my heart is truly broken but I know she is now at peace and my, what a fighter she was. Also, a huge thank you to the carers who respected my wishes and dressed Mum, before her departure. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the kind words! She really was a pleasure to care for and a character in our home. I want to thank all the family for your support of the home and if you need anything in the future, please feel free to contact us and we will be more than happy to help. Take care. Stephen and the team at The Grove.
After a bad experience at a previous care home, the staff here resolved our faith in the care system. All the staff are truly amazing, welcoming and kind. My grandma was showed nothing but respect and dignity in her time here. Staff went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and we as a family, were always welcomed when we came to visit. A massive thank you to all of you.
Thank you for your kind words and appreciation of the staff and home, we always want to make a positive experience for our residents and their families. I will ensure that everyone involved in the care provided is informed of your review! Thank you!
The nurse's, caregivers and everyone involved with the running of The Grove care home looked after my mother with care and love; from the time she was admitted to her passing in very difficult times, due to the Covid pandemic, whether it was a window view or the pod visit at Christmas, and the final week of her passing; they always made you feel welcomed and treated you with respect.
Thank you Steven for your kind response. It has been a difficult time for all. I will pass your response onto the staff as they will appreciate it.
The nurses and carers are very caring. My husband regards it as his home and feels safe and cared for in his bedroom. I trust the staff fully and admire how they have coped through the pandemic. The Grove keep us up to date with the Covid.
Thank you Barbara for your response. Your husband is a pleasure to care for and keeps all the staff smiling. I will pass your comments onto the staff.
My mum had been in the Grove for over 2 years. She had a lot o medical problems and was always looked after well. Her conditions recently had got a lot worse all the staff continued to look after her very well. The time living through the COVID pandemic has been very challenging for all the staff and residents because family and friend haven't been able to visit. They have allowed visits when possible. In my mum's last days they treated her with dignity and consideration.
My wife was treated exceptionally well. I was treated with kindness and consideration.
During our term of office (Mayoress) we visited many care homes and hospitals in the line of duty but in the end, I chose The Grove for my retirement and I am very glad I did. The carers are wonderful, the food is good, the atmosphere, in general, is everything you could wish for in retirement. I am so glad I close The Grove.
A nice well kept home.
Management and nurses very understanding and supportive.
Caring carers, excellent food, well managed and clean. Maintenance staff insufficient.
The staff were very good. Made my stay very good and if I had to go in a home I would recommend this home to anyone.
The care that my dad got in The Grove was excellent. The staff were very caring and couldn't do enough for you. He spent his last 2 and a half weeks of his life very comfortable.
Thank you for your kind words.
Very friendly staff.
Visitors to guests are made to feel welcome.
The staff were compassionate, caring and patient. The cooks took time every day to talk to him about his preferences and encourage him to eat.
In fact, all the staff did their best to make him feel at home.
Thank you for your kind words.
My mother's care was very good and we found the staff caring and attentive. I would recommend The Grove to anyone looking for a care home.
My uncle needed a short stay in a care home whilst he recovered from an illness and I was away on holiday. On my return, I found him fully recovered and well enough to go home. He said he had been cared for by kind staff who were very respectful and listened to his wants and needs. They allowed him to get up when he wanted and go to bed at whatever time he chose. He could also pick and choose his meals, which was good, as he can be fussy.
