Excellent standard of care from all staff from the bottom to the top.

Nothing too much trouble ever.

Thank you for the review. It has been a pleasure caring for your Aunt. She was a joy to be with from the beginning to the end. She will be sadly missed by all the residents and the staff.

My father is very happy and comfortable at The Grove. He loves the food and his room has everything he needs. The staff are all lovely including the night staff. They always use my dad's name and they know who we are when we visit.

His care after falling was excellent and he was reassured by the staff as he waited for the ambulance. I would have no hesitation recommending The Grove to anyone looking for a home from home for their relative. A very safe, warm place. Thank you.

Mum has dementia and she's well looked after here. Individual staff care about the residents they look after. As someone who visits regularly, I'm always greeted by name and I feel part of a community. The staff treat mum with respect and, though busy, will find time to chat. The nurses do a great job and it's reassuring to know one's always on hand. Mum always enjoys her food here.

When my grandad was in The Grove on respite I could not thank the staff enough for their support towards my grandad and myself. All the staff, from carers to cleaners to management, had a professional, caring attitude towards not just my grandad but other residents too.

My son has been a resident of The Grove for almost two years (he has severe M.S.) and needs 24-hour care. The staff are very supportive and treat him with dignity and kindness and any worries or problems we have are dealt with straight away. The overall atmosphere is nice and friendly.

Happy with all the care provided to my mum. Highly recommended to anyone wanting their relative to come for a long time or just respite. A lot of entertainment provided for the residents from singers coming in to arm exercise to group games.

Overall Experience

My father has received excellent care during his stay at The Grove. He went initially on respite, he lived with me at the time and has dementia. He thought he been to Blackpool on holiday! On his next visit, the staff welcomed him like a long lost friend and really made him feel at home. He moved in permanently just over a year ago when I could no longer cope as he needed care during the night. All the staff, carers, cleaners, kitchen staff are like his extended family. He is now on end of life care and they have been fantastic, both with him and with us, I can't praise them enough. All too often all you hear about is the bad press when there are so many wonderful people doing an outstanding job under incredible pressure. My dad's last few years have been enhanced by his stay at The Grove and I can't thank them enough.
