Guy's Court Residential Care Home

I would like to give thanks to all of the staff at Guy’s. My Nan was a resident there for 2 years and sadly passed away earlier this year. The care and compassion shown was second to none. They have treated us all like family and it is clear to see that each and every staff member of staff cares dearly for our loved ones.

From my mother’s initial entry to Guy’s Court, to present day, her care has been exemplary. Each resident is treated as an individual. The home is professionally run, with an accessible management team. The home is clean and welcoming, residents are listened to and encouraged to express their wishes, from what they want to eat to suggestions for activities. The activities programme is inclusive and varied. The staff are friendly, always welcoming to visitors, compassionate and caring when dealing with residents. The main thing is that I am reassured that my mother is very well looked after; her health is monitored, she is treated with dignity, she has quality of life and is in safe hands. I am so grateful to all of the staff for caring for my mother.

My brother has been a resident at Guy's Court for nearly a year. The home is first class. Supportive, friendly and helpful staff across the board from domestics to care managers. The food is very good with a good choice of options. They provide activities every day whether that be bingo, music or films. Trips away from the home are organised and the residents are actively involved in decision-making. The manager responds to queries even when she is away from work which is a real credit to her. My brother is only 55 and is a resident here following a stroke. He is treated as an individual by all the staff and nothing is too much trouble. I really couldn't ask for a better home for my brother and I would recommend Guy's Court wholeheartedly.

My mum has just been admitted, she absolutely loves it. The staff are 5 stars. They have so much time and love for the residents, it's amazing. Couldn't wish for a better care home. The management are second to none.

My aunt came for respite care recently. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The manager was knowledgeable and really alleviated any concerns we had. My aunt will be returning next month. I cannot champion this home enough and would highly recommend. Thank you, guys!

Currently, my father is in Guys Court having a period of respite care. He has been in there for about 8 weeks. The care my father is getting is again exemplary. I want to credit the manager and her team of such dedicated staff. They go above and beyond to provide excellent care for their residents which at times must be very difficult in such challenging circumstances. It’s truly humbling to see the staff's genuine passion for care. They are all a credit to Sanctuary Care.

My father was recently admitted to Guys Court after looking at a number of homes locally. His care is second to none and I am very pleased with his progress. Staff are kind and approachable. The food is varied and plentiful. He has improved massively since moving in and the interaction he is getting is definitely enhancing his quality of life.

My mother has been at Guy's since December 2020. She loves it there and says that all the carers are wonderful. She says the meals are really really good. She likes her room. From what I have seen the staff are wonderful. They aren’t doing just a job but are very caring to each resident. They talk so nicely to my Mum and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are plenty of activities going on for the residents and they celebrate any occasion that is relevant. I haven’t been able to go inside the home yet due to Covid restrictions but have been able to see Mum in the conservatory after having covid tests beforehand. All the staff I have seen have been really helpful, friendly and kind. I am looking forward to Covid rules being lifted then I can see more of everything. Mum is looking forward to the hairdresser restarting but meanwhile, the carers have been wonderful at helping mum look her best. Thank you all.

Mum has dementia and has been a resident since December 2020. I’ve found the staff to be extremely caring and understanding. They always go the extra mile to do whatever they can to help mum. Mum always says how nice her bedroom is, how good the food is and how nice the staff are. There are plenty of activities taking place. Highly recommended.

The staff are always pleasant and keep us updated with how my mother is.

A lifelong friend was a resident at Guys Court until she sadly passed away earlier this year. I was unable to visit her in person during the pandemic but the staff helped her to use video technology to allow us to see one another and I was advised by management that I could call at anytime. She always seemed happy when I spoke with her and spoke highly of the staff looking after her. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home. The management and staff go out of their way to keep their residents happy.

I came to stay at Guy's Court Residential Care Home originally over the Christmas period. My wife is also a resident. The staff are friendly, very helpful and the activities provided are great, we suggested a Mexican themed day during our last resident meeting and it was great fun with activities and menu to match the theme. I enjoy the food particularly the rice and pasta dishes and the chef will come and chat with me daily. I highly recommend Guy's Court Residential Care Home, it’s a friendly and relaxed environment with a warm atmosphere.

My stepmum has been in Guy's Court Residential Care Home in Fleetwood very happily for some time. We live a five hour return visit from there, so cannot visit as often as we would like and during the lockdown, it has been a particularly difficult time but the staff at Guy's Court Residential Care Home could not have been more helpful. In my opinion they have carried out health and safety measures for the protection of all concerned, whilst still maintaining a good level of connection with me. Whenever I have spoken on the phone both to staff and to my step mum herself, I always feel happy after the conversations, that my step mum is receiving the best care. My step mum always looks and sounds healthy and happy during visits and it's a pleasure to see her clearly being cared for in a way that suits her well, especially bearing in mind she is ninety two and has dementia. Residents are encouraged to be sociable in the main lounge but are also given the respect to be able to stay in their room if they wish. I think it's a good home.

Thank you for looking after Mum so well. The staff are so caring and treated Mum with great dignity. They really got to know her on a personal level. She couldn't have had better care even if she had been royalty.

Such an excellent care home! Such lovely staff always happy to help, always there if you have queries. The support we have had during both my grandparents being in the home when my nan became ill the support was there. Such a friendly bunch of people, always smiling. My grandad is extremely happy there and it’s lovely to see him smile with the staff. Definitely recommend!

My mum has been a resident at Guy's Court since January 2019. We had visited the home while looking for a suitable care home and were struck straight away with the caring and friendly environment. Mum was very poorly when she first arrived but has recovered and thrived over the last 21 months due to the excellent care of the team, and their complete respect and understanding of Mum's needs. The team are well established, very friendly, and not only is the care of the residents paramount, but they always make visitors feel very welcome and are always willing to answer any questions. There are always lots of activities taking place, which is so important. It has obviously been a very difficult time over the last few months with COVID, but management and the team have coped incredibly well over this more than challenging period, and I cannot thank them enough for how they have protected and looked after everyone in Guy's Court.

We only had to leave Guy's Court when they stopped providing nursing care, and it was a very sad day when we did.

Both my parents reside in Guys Court. My mother, since October 2019 and father since December 2019. Both have very different needs which Guys Court meet well. My mother is a permanent resident with complex mental health needs/frailty and my father on respite after a long spell of illness in hospital. As a family, we like what we see at Guys. Staff are caring, compassionate, welcoming and always have time to talk to relatives about any concerns which are addressed appropriately. It is clean and welcoming and everyone seems very happy here, with lots of activities going on. There has been a change of manager recently who is very approachable, helpful, friendly and proactive. As a family, we are very reassured that both our parents are being well cared for and are happy here. Staff go above and beyond to ensure that residents are happy and comfortable.

Very pleased at the care my wife is receiving at Guys Court. The standard of the rooms including bedrooms is second to none. Cleanliness is fantastic. Care provided by the staff is friendly and supportive. I have found nothing to be concerned about. I trust the staff and management are very responding to any requests I make overall 10/10

Been in five days now, no complaints. Everyone is friendly and clean.
