Our mother had a stroke and bleed on the brain in February 2023. She was left permanently paralysed on her right side and unable to speak. She received excellent care at the home. The family were confident she was in the best place. The staff were so kind and compassionate. Mum's dog was allowed to
visit and this was special. Our mother died May 28th and the family cannot thank the home enough for their deep respect and heartfelt kindness.

The Priory Court Nursing Home is a delightful place to live. The staff are second to none and will do anything to help and assist you. They have a five star food rating, family and friends can visit whenever they wish and stay as long as they want. There are daily activities such as crafts, games and
bingo. All in all matron and all the staff really care about us residents it's a happy place to live.

My mother spent six months at the Priory Court until she passed away on 23/1/23. I want to express my gratitude for the home, as my mother was treated wonderfully in all aspects of care. The staff were professional, caring and respectful to not only my mum but to me and any visitors that came to see
her. My mum had no complaints at all, whether about care, food or cleanliness.

I am very happy at Priory Court Nursing Home. I feel safe and very well looked after by matron and all the staff. The food is very good and are big portions. Every day we do a variety of activities which is fun. I highly recommend here. I was unable to walk when I came here and had a poor appetite but
with the love and support of the staff I am now able to eat a proper meal and can walk unaided. I also enjoy our outings in the minibus to places like the zoo, garden centres and down the lights. Staff have fancy dress up days to raise extra money for the residents fund which is such good fun.

Really clean care home where residents are all well looked after. All the staff are friendly and take the time to talk to you. Any issues when reported to the matron are dealt with promptly. If I was looking for a care/nursing home for a friend or relative. I would certainly consider Priory Court.

My Aunt came to Priory following 3 weeks in Victoria Hospital as she needed 24/7 nursing care. We had spent time visiting various nursing homes, considering the CQC reviews etc. We had a lovely welcome and good information about the care and the facilities. Later, we had a tour of the home with the
matron. We were impressed with the standard and the helpfulness and friendliness of the matron and her staff.
My aunt was treated with care and dignity throughout. She was well looked after and supported by all staff; medical attention was sought quickly if needed. Her room was spacious and clean. She felt very comfortable and enjoyed conversing with staff. Sadly, she was very poorly and passed away peacefully after a few weeks. We were pleased she had spent her last few weeks there and we know she felt safe and happy there. Relatives and friends were treated well and close family were kept well informed.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Priory Court for good care.

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2019

Andrea is the Registered Manager of Priory Court and joined in 2022 after transferring from her Deputy Matron position at New Thursby Nursing Home after 3 years. Andrea had worked as a lead Practice Nurse for 20 years after a career as a Senior sister within A&E at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.


Andrea is leading a team which aims to create an atmosphere of harmony where residents can really feel at home in their environment.


The team aim to:
Maintain a physically and mentally stimulating lifestyle for our residents.


Respect the independence, dignity, diversity, privacy, choice and rights of our residents.


Recognise and actively respond to individual needs.
Provide residents, their families and friends a warm friendly and safe environment in which to live and visit.

Alina Sinclair

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2005

Alina is the Deputy Manager at Priory Court Nursing Care Home. She joined Century Healthcare in 2005 and has supported many of our homes. She has worked at Century Healthcare as a Deputy Manager and also as a Registered Manager. Alina moved to Romania in 2019 and returned to the UK in 2021, re-joining the Century Healthcare family. Alina has many years of nursing home experience.
