My grandad has been resident at Hillview for 2 weeks and our family could not be happier with the care and support he receives. The staff have made him feel welcome, respected and valued. My grandad had a stroke in January and has been very down during his time in hospital and a previous care home. The cate home staff have made such a positive difference to my grandards life since the day he moved in. The carers go above and beyond to make sure he is safe, comfortable and happy. We could not ask for better care. All the staff are a credit to the care home. Thank you.

Reply from Maxwell Andrews, Marketing Lead at Hillview Care Home

Thank you for such kind words. It's wonderful to hear the difference these first couple of weeks have made for your grandad. Helping him feel welcomed and comfortable is exactly what the team set out to do, and we're so pleased it shows. We'll pass your thanks on to everyone at Hillview.

My mum stayed at Hillview for the best part of a year.
I found the atmosphere very welcoming and clean, mums room was airy and light with facilities for visitors to make a drink.
The staff were always friendly and caring, unhurried and willing to chat, joke and sit with my mum.
During the last few days of her life the staff were amazing, sitting with my mum and making sure she was comfortable and pain free. She died peacefully with dignity.
Hillview is by far the best care home I have been in which is down to the excellent care given by all the staff at every level.

Thank you all so much.

Reply from Maxwell Andrews, Marketing Lead at Hillview Care Home

Thank you for your lovely words. We're so sorry for the loss of your mum. It means a great deal to know that the team's care over the year left you with such a strong impression of Hillview. To be described as the best care home you've been in is the highest praise, and we'll share your thanks with staff at every level.

The staff here are always pleasant and friendly. They all seem happy in their work, and this I think, rubs off on the residents. My mum is well looked after and has a good, friendly relationship with all the staff. They understand her needs and wants, which can be very difficult as she has a severe speech impairment due to her stroke. This does not stop them from having friendly conversations with her and getting her involved in activities. I was extremely worried about placing mum in a home, I needn't have here!

I can't thank the staff at Hillview Care Home enough for the care they've given my father From day one, they've been kind, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. Having visited 10 homes to see which one would be the best fit for my mum, we made the decision that Hillview stood out and that decision has been vindicated since. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, everyone is extremely supportive and caring.
All the residents I have met are friendly and seem happy here (which speaks volumes).

Best decision we could have made. Thankyou Emma, Tammy and all your staff xx

Both me and my wife and are at the home promised rooms close but separated by two corridors the length of the building, I can not walk and my wife has dementia. I had a heart attack and told to have early nights, no way I do speak out about it, but to no avail, I am 92, and my wife 87. I would have to speak to somebody to put my side of the problems.
Thursday night - Friday morning: Kept my wife up til 12:30.
Friday night - Saturday morning: Put a night dress on my wife and she was left in a cold room with just me waited till 9:15 no one to take her to bed so I took her up in the lift the lead catrer was stood talking to another and said I had no right to take my wife to her room. My room was not serviced toilet was left for 1 1/2 days, no towel or face cloth or clean night clothes. No service done to the room.
Went to bed at 9:15 Friday night and woke up next morning, did not feel to good. No breakfast or pills. No dinner or pills. No tea or pills. No food or pills all day. Had a problem with my bowles and needed help. They came and washed me and changed me. It was then 9:00 so no food or pills for 24hours, why?

One girl made me some food and a cold drink.

My mum has been a resident in Hillview since April 24. When she first arrived, she was very anxious and withdrawn. In a short space of time she was so settled and happy. I can not fault the care and attention of every single member of staff. Their dedication to their job is outstanding. To see my mum so well cared for is wonderful. Thank you so much.
