My friend was extremely well looked after by the staff at Hillview Care Home. The home was beautifully decorated and so clean. Management were extremely approachable. I was always welcomed on each of my visits and noted that staff were attentive, ensuring residents were well looked after. The food looked nice and there seemed to be plenty on offer. I was so happy that my friend was able to reside at Hillview where she was extremely well looked after.

My mum was in Hillview from the end of October 2018 until she died in mid-December. I found the home to be clean and well furnished, and there was a real effort to create a nice atmosphere eg Halloween party and Christmas events. However, the key thing that stood out for me was the attitude of every single member of staff that I dealt with over this period. Staff treated residents with respect and genuinely seemed to care about them. I often attended unannounced at different times and I could hear staff speaking to me mum trying to make her laugh etc as they provided care.

At the end of life, the care provided by the entire team including the nursing staff was excellent.

My mother was resident at Hillview Care home for approximately five years during which time she was well cared for and liked by all the staff who always kept me informed of any concerns and made me welcome whenever I visited mum.

During mum's final week, she was treated with patience, dignity and compassion. I spent a lot of time with her at that time and feel comforted by the kindness shown to me by all the staff and the way mum passed peacefully in her sleep.

My dad was taken to Hillview in September 2017. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for the care they gave Dad. They not only looked after Dad but us family as well, especially when we stayed for four days and nights with Dad.

They brought all visiting family tea and biscuits and made us tea and toast in the morning. I cannot praise these people enough. They made Dad’s last few weeks comfortable and a loving, caring environment. So thank you again, we will be forever grateful to you all. The comments below about management and care/support - they went over and above. Excellent thank you.
