My brother passed away at the end of March but I will always be grateful for the wonderful care he received from the staff on Lakeside at Callands Care Home. We were treated like family and were always sure of a warm welcome. I began to look forward to my visits. When lockdown began video calls were arranged and I was able to see and speak to him which was a great comfort and reassurance to him. I have made a return visit and although outdoors, the welcome was just as warm.

I cannot thank the staff enough for there caring and patience, although my brother did not take advantage of the many events that the nursing home provides for the residents, I know there are plenty of activities going on daily.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Unfortunately, all care homes have a level of documentation that needs to be completed and this is to ensure that we deliver quality care at all times and can evidence this. The Chef and the kitchen staff are directed by HC-One regarding summer and winter menus and they are always accommodating and are happy to provide dishes to individual’s requests. We have reviewed our wellbeing hours this year and have found that we are now offering a wider variety including trips out; if there are any specific requests we would welcome suggestions in order for us to improve our service.
