Excellent care home with the best staff! Always go above and beyond! It’s clean and never smells! It’s a proper home from home. My mum was so well looked after but feel the government has let care homes down in the current environment but thank god these homes care so much! Green Park is amazing.

I, like many, never thought my mother would end up in a home. After managing her dementia ourselves for 6-years, it was the right thing to do. After enormous research, GreenPark ticked all the boxes for us. We were warmly welcomed three times beforehand, turning up unannounced. It's a beautiful place,
all staff are very friendly and caring. Mum receives great care, and we are totally confident she is in safe hands. The meals are freshly cooked and of the highest standard. We cannot praise the staff enough. Each day the activities staff engage the residents with things such as baking, crafts and themed celebrations. It's clear how much the staff all love their work at Green Park. Visitors are encouraged to join in, there is a beautiful tea room, and sweet trolley, coffee and cakes often brought in by friends and relatives. Green Park really is in the heart of the local community.

My Mum has been a resident since 2011, and the care she has received has always been great. I am spurred on to write this review now in response to the care love and attention not only the residents but also, what the families have received during the Covid -19 lockdown. The carers are making every
effort to keep our loved ones safe and have had to step into the family’s role too.
They have done all they can to keep them entertained and keep their spirits up - both the carers and the amazing activities team who deserve a special mention. I can't think of anything that could have been done better during these very difficult times - just amazing. Thank you all of you.
Every staff member whatever their role is dedicated, caring and special

My mum has been in there for over 12-months now; I cannot fault them at all.
These past 3/4 months have been really hard as not been able to come in to visit, but regular video calls from her have made a hard situation easy. I'm just glad to know she's being well looked after. Thank you to all the
staff.

This care home is my mums second place after her first care home couldn't meet her needs. Turns out it was the right place for mum, they do a good job with a disease (Alzheimer's) that can be difficult to manage in later stages. Nowhere is ideal, but glad we found this place for mum and I would recommend
it especially if needing EMI placement.

I have visited my brother for the first time today, I find the home very friendly and all the staff were very helpful to the residents and visitors.
My brother looks very well and well cared for, he said that he is very happy here which our family are contented and do not worry about our brother. Thank
you all for all you do for him and keep him safe.

My cousin was looking in good health, clean clothes, her personal care (which she cannot do for herself) was apparently good. She was offered a choice of drinks. Staff engaged with her and others in a positive way.
TV and music were both in the lounge. I asked for one to be turned off because it was
too noisy to talk. The TV was pointless. Music on its own would be better but suited to the age of residents, not current pop music.
Appeared to be agency staff on duty. One very inexperienced and out of her depth.

My dad went into Green Park Care Home in January 2018 as it was no longer possible to care for him at home.
During his residency, he was safe, warm, cared for and loved by his carers. The food was hot and more than adequate. My only concern was staffing levels, these did not seem correct for the level
of care some of the residents required. Standards are improving all the time.

My dad was in the Dementia + unit, it is bright, airy, clean and modern and the staff are excellent, always friendly, caring, understanding and flexible. The residents are well looked after and there is the right balance of activities and places to socialise as well as places to sit quietly.

Very little stimulation on this department for residents. I have never witnessed any activities going on for them. Have found my sister in her room with the door closed and her screaming with her legs out of the bed in a very distressed condition and her food just put on the bed for her to eat and drink
on several occasions. It is very upsetting. Staff always seem to be on mobile phones. Broken furniture in her room and in need of decoration.

My Mum is well cared for in the home. I know that she is safe and most of her needs are being met. The staff are lovely with her and both Mum and the family have made friends with them. Mum does get unsettled when agency staff are called in as she likes familiar faces to know her. She also struggles
with some of the food on offer. Overall the family are very happy with the home.

Staff are lovely and caring. I am sure my mother is being well looked after. However, there are some aspects of the home which could be improved, like the laundry facilities (not losing things), keeping track of hearing aids and the general tiredness of the decor. Fortunately, due to my mother's condition,
she is probably unaware of these short-comings.

My father in law came here a year ago and has been treated very well and all his needs met, he has been included in all aspects of home life and has a well-balanced choice of meals. He joins in with all activities, he's put weight on and is kept clean shaven and respected. Family always kept up to date

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.103)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.103) out of 10 for Green Park Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.103 for Green Park Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (199 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (51 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 302 Ratings = 4.103
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Green Park Nursing Home is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 103 registered maximum number of service users is 20.6, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
