Mum moved into Windsor Suite at Green Park in April 2025 and sadly passed away in December. Mum's dementia was advanced and she needed 24-hour care and she received exemplary care whilst at Green Park. Mum was treated with respect and dignity and I can't praise the staff highly enough. She was always
clean and dressed, with all her personal needs/cares met. The Home has access to a hairdresser (payable) so every week Mum had a pamper session which always made her feel good. There is also an excellent entertainment team who arrange some lovely sessions with the residents. The cleaning team are brilliant. The rooms are spotless. Mum was on a puréed diet so her food was not always the most appetising to look at but it was varied.Overall, I can't fault the care mum received and how supportive the team are. Caring for dementia patients takes a special team, and Green Park has that team. It truly is the perfect place for a loved one on a dementia journey.

My Nanna was cared for here from April - December 2025 in the Windsor Ward. This is for dementia patients with significant care needs. I cannot fault the care my nanna received and even though she wasn't too aware of her surroundings, she was always happy and comfortable with where she was and had a
lot of trust in the care team. With my nanna having dementia it could be difficult to know how she was feeling with new people but we always knew she loved the team that cared for her and that speaks volumes about how fantastic the staff really are. As a family we had a lot of confidence in the entire team and knew that my nanna was always being looked after with the most love and care. Sadly we lost my nanna in December 2025 but even in her final days the team went above and beyond for her. If you ever need to consider a care home for a loved one, be assured that the staff at Green Park are absolutely faultless and will treat your family member as one of their own. Thanks again xx

My mum has been at Green Park since September 2024 and is happy and settled here, the staff have always treated her with respect and many a time I have come in to see a member of staff sat holding hands with her or comforting her if she has been anxious. I can leave here knowing that she is really
looked after well and I am so grateful for the wonderful staff that work here, they have been a god send. The home's greatest asset is their staff. My mum has been on the Kensington unit in Green Park since September 2024.

We are new to Green Park (Nov 25) but so far I have only praise for the management and staff. The care staff are so respectful and nothing is too much trouble. The housekeeping is amazing and gets 10/10. Mum is eating well and really settled in her new home. I am content that Mum is safe and being well
looked after.

All the staff are fantastic with how they support not only my husband but myself and my son on High Grove community.

Awful home. My dad has dementia. He was having falls nearly everyday. Medical assistance was not sourced until over 24 hours later even though my dad was on blood thinners. Censor may was never plugged in. And my dad was found in another residents bedroom in the middle of the night. Food was left on
table in my dad's room for hours. Not one carer checked that my dad was eating and drinking. My dad had a water infection all the time. Bedroom was not cleaned for 2 weeks. I had to ask the cleaner to clean it. We found my dad asleep on the bed with no bedding on. Lay on the plastic mattress . Over all an awful place

Took a couple of days for my lovely husand to settle in but after that he was moved to the Sandringham ward. The staff are lovely, caring and friendly. Can't recommend them enough! I was very unhappy bout him going into a home, I just wanted him at home but it wasn't possible. I know now he is looked
after and it helps me emotionally and lifts my feeling of guilt about not being at home.

Throughout my mother's respite are, since November 2024, staff have always been caring & helpful, sometimes during difficult circumstances regarding my mother's behaviour. More recently my mother became widowed whilst still a resident, adding to difficulties, especially grieving, Staff here, particularly
the home manager were very supportive & accommodating to allow my mother to attend the funeral & also scattering of ashes.

about the units. Thank you to all the staff for looking after dad

Mum has always been well looked after since moving to Green Park. She is always up and dressed, fed and watered with her room always clean and tidy. The staff do an amazing job looking after everyone's loved ones and always speak in a well-mannered way. If I had one small negative it is the rooms are
a little dated and could do with being redecorated.

Our father was placed on the Kensington Unit, after a spell in hospital, it was our first time even visiting the care home.
I can honestly say from the office staff on arrival to each and every one of the staff I can't praise them enough, the care Dad gets daily from all carers and nursing staff is
nothing but outstanding, he's happy settled, even though we've nearly lost him a few times due to illness, I honestly believe the care he had is what's pulled him through, the activity team, domestics, laundry, and management are always there to answer any questions, they have such respect for everyone they're caring for, they also make families welcome, excellent home and care, I've also made some lovely friends here, thank you for giving me the peace of mind that Dad's well looked after.
Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing HomeThank you so much for taking the time to write that fantastic review. It means so much to the team. We are lucky to have such lovely residents and families like your dad and you. It makes caring for everyone a pleasure. Best wishes

I felt the time was right to put a friend with dementia in a home. I looked at reviews and happened to look round as they were opening a new unit so had spaces.
She was not herself when she arrived and we had struggled to get her washed and changed to eat or drink.
I left it 2 weeks to let her settle
and I am so glad I did.
She is clean, changed, hair washed, nail polish on... nowhere near the shadow of herself I took in who spent her days crying and no interest in anything. She was watching TV for the first time in ages and very articulate.
Thank you to the staff for not only making it easier for us, but for doing an amazing job!
I had wondered if I was doing the right thing.
Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to write this very honest and complimentary review. I am pleased that the team here have helped your friend find purpose and be herself again. To put it simply, without this facility and all its wonderful staff my mum's quality of life would awful.
There's not enough words to praise the quality of care given every day to all the residents, from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to bed nothing is too much trouble.
Quite simply
outstanding.

My father-in-law has been cared for at Green Park since July 2023. I have been really encouraged to see the level of care that he receives, it is clear to see that he is well looked after from the cleanliness of his room and surroundings to the compassionate way he is treated by the staff. This has
really helped to give peace of mind to all the family that the decision made to put him in care was the right one.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.103)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.103) out of 10 for Green Park Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.103 for Green Park Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (199 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (51 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 302 Ratings = 4.103
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Green Park Nursing Home is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 103 registered maximum number of service users is 20.6, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
