Green Park Nursing Home

Mum came to Green Park Care Home in November during the pandemic, the staff are amazing and the quality of care is unmeasurable, I was so worried at first about Mum not settling in, but the staff made the transition so much easier. Nothing is too much trouble, if I call to see how Mum is someone is there to reassure me and they're professional and always happy to help. Mum has settled and now we are visiting outside we can take the dog Sophie, who Mum loves, she loved this and gave her treats. Seeing Mum surface again is just wonderful. Can't wait to give all the staff a hug, and say Thank you in person your all amazing

I found that I could get answered any questions and that importantly my mum is now settled and happy which took a while! I'm generally happy with all aspects of care.

My mum has been here at Green Park for 13-years. Over the years, we have seen a lot of staff, but they have all been very professional and lovely to my mum.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Difficult times, but the visiting practices are really well organised. The building is clean and well maintained.

Fathers room not decorated for years! Father often unshaven and fingernails not cut. Hair dishevelled. Two members of staff dismissed for leaving father in soiled condition in February 2021.

My nanna has been in Green Park since September 2020. Her progress has been nothing short of miraculous. Given weeks to live, she is still going strong which is down to the exemplary care provided by staff here. The staff are friendly and treat my nanna with dignity and nothing is too much trouble, all during a global pandemic. Thank you so much.

My mum was extremely frail and ill when she first came here. I have watched mum open up and grow stronger (although still frail). I still feel that at all levels have contributed to her strength and determination. Their constant attention and care is immeasurable. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You are all amazing!

Professional and friendly staff, good level of care for dad and rooms are clean.

My mother became a resident at Green Park shortly before the first lockdown due to covid 19 in 2020. During what has been a very difficult and upsetting time, being separated from her, we have been comforted by the excellent care we know she receives. The staff go above and beyond to keep her well looked after, safe and stimulated. We are kept informed not only if they have any concerns but also about the 'nice' things - conversations they have with her etc and this has really helped us stay 'connected' even when we couldn't visit.

The care and kindness given to my wife has been excellent from all care staff who have gone out of their way to make her comfortable and content.

My aunite is very well looked after. She is always happy. The activities team are brilliant at keeping the residents occupied. The home gave her a new lease of life. She had given up on before she arrived.

My mum has settled in extremely well thanks to the time and dedication of the staff. We know she is in safe hands.

The staff at the care home always treat residents with dignity and respect. Although I can't see my dad, and he struggles to interact on the phone, I am confident that he is happy and well cared for as my mum was. The activities team are amazing- always coming up with great ideas. My only hope is for Green Park to implement visiting arrangements quickly so that I can see him before he deteriorates further. My mum is bedridden after a stroke and not happy to be moved. She shouts out of fear and discomfort when staff have to move her. That being said everyone is so kind to her and reassures her. I am happy in the knowledge that my mum is receiving the best care available.

Couldn’t wish for more from a care home for my dad.

Dad moved to Green Park in July 2019 and remains a resident there. He has Alzheimer’s Dementia and has also suffered from pneumonia, which seemed to speed the progress of the dementia. We have been hugely impressed by the staff at Green Park. Dad has been cared for with dignity and respect, whilst also maintaining a sense of fun too. The home feels like a family and his care, especially when he has been at his lowest points, has been personal and professional. Small things, but arriving unannounced to find a carer in his room with him, reading to him, as he was pretty unresponsive, proved that this was no show, but genuine care which goes on when nobody is watching! I would highly recommend anyone to consider here for your loved one.

I feel my dad is treated with kindness and respect by the staff, although personal interaction is limited due to time constraints due to carer/resident ratio. Food is well prepared and plentiful. The entertainment team are helpful and imaginative.

My cousin has been at Green Park for several months now. She has a form of dementia and could no longer manage at home. She appears so happy here and is looked after so well. The staff are friendly, professional and truly caring. Since we have all been in lockdown they have continued to provide an outstanding level of care, which brings me to tears. Thank you all so much.
