Amber Court Care Home

The staff were helpful, friendly and polite when both phoning the home to enquire about our brother and when arranging a visit. My sister and I were guided through the Covid lateral flow test process and advised on how to do this prior to visiting, therefore, allowing more time for a visit. Our brother is cheerful and well cared for.

The home manager leads an excellent, respectful team who show caring professionalism in what can be very difficult circumstances, especially during the last 14 months.

Under recent circumstances with virus, I was not able to see my husband inside. But the care home allowed me to see my husband at the front entrance or at window, so I had limited contact. This was satisfactory for me.

I have visited the home during lunch-time to see my mother-in-law and found all members of staff to be very supportive and friendly. Also, the cleanliness and food was also to a very excellent standard. As was her bedroom and home in general. Furthermore, there was plenty of activities on offer both for entertainment purposes along with a variety of activities that involve the residents to help with their interaction along with keeping them interested and active, which was always an excellent standard.

With the virus, it's been hard for my husband and I, just to see him once a week has been awful. They look after him ok, could do with more baths and showers also to find time to iron their clothes not put everything on a hot wash, it shrinks his clothes. Sometimes he says the food is good then he says it's not, but that's Parkinson's for you. It would be lovely if they do more for them in the home, more outings and lots more entertainment. When this is finally over it will be lovely to give him a hug and a kiss.

Absolutely brilliant in all areas. I couldn’t ask for any better service and care for my mum, the staff are incredible. Thank you all very much for what you do; I would definitely recommend Amber Court to anybody.

Always find staff members to be pleasant, efficient and keen to help with any problems or issues that arise. They are all always willing to go out of their ways to help and provide the best care possible.

Friendly and welcoming staff, always willing to help visitors and residents. Look after residents and check on them regularly, lots of activities to stay entertained and choices for meals, well made too.

Overall we are very happy that we discovered Amber Court when we were looking at care homes and would recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality care provided by friendly staff.

Amber Court Care Home has helped my mum to be independent, her communication, personal and general well-being has been improved since her stay in this home. I was afraid at first to have my mum in a care home but I am very impressed with the care given to my mum. During this difficult time in the world, I am grateful for the care my mum is receiving. My mum has become very chatting, communicating well and her general health has improved dramatically.

Very nice looking building from the outside, not been inside yet. Very friendly and helpful staff. They take great care of my dad and consistently monitor his condition. Nothing else to say at the moment.

I am very impressed with the care and protection the resident in Amber Court Nursing Home is given, during my visit to my friend I was given a nice welcome by the staff, my temperature was checked and I was given PPE to wear before my friend was wheeled to the garden to chat with me, he looked well and properly cared for and all the staff had proper PPE, this delighted my heart because I knew immediately that he was in safe care, we stayed 2 meters apart and refreshments were offered to me. I am very happy with the care and protection Amber Court is providing to its staffs and residents. The team in Amber Court is run by very caring management and staff the residents are well protected, I would recommend this care home to anyone and I am making arrangements to get my aunty in the home as I am 100% impressed with the way my friend, other residents and staff looked during my visit and the way the home protects its resident and staffs.

My father was transferred from hospital to Amber Court for end of life care. He was there for ten days, and as a family, we could not have wished for any care that was more loving, professional and dedicated that not only he received but that was given our family as well. A mark of any good organisation is how colleagues relate to each other. All the staff had great respect for each other and this was transparent in the care given to my dad as well as to other residents. I am so glad that we chose Amber Court for his final days. Thanks to the manager and all the wonderful staff there. You are outstanding.

Outstanding overall care at Amber Court. The staff are warm, friendly and compassionate towards both the residents and relatives creating a positive and calm environment. The rooms and common areas are nicely decorated and always very clean. The food is excellent. Staff try their best to make it feel like a ‘home from home’.

My wife has been here for six and a half years. She has been looked after very well. The staff are approachable and friendly. Food and activities are good.

My mum spent 18 months in Amber Court and passed away there in June 2018. The staff are truly wonderful. They are compassionate, caring and treat the residents and their relatives like family. Mum had a difficult end and I will be forever grateful for the care and attention they gave not only to her but to me too. It was a great comfort to know she had been looked after by such lovely people.

My mother was here for respite for the last two weeks prior to this, she’s been several different care homes but this one is by far the best. Staff and manager are lovely and very helpful and is a pleasure to be in a nice home and our family are very happy with the care that is provided. Will recommend and will continue to use your respite in the future. Thanks for everything.

Once again, I found the entire team great, and for that, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
