Water Royd House Nursing Home

An excellent, caring and effective facility, providing high-quality care in a supportive and friendly way. Mum has been here since August 2017. The home is immaculate and great care is taken to be friendly, to listen, and to provide a safe, friendly and thoughtful environment. All are treated with respect, problems highlighted and potential solutions discussed openly. We have been impressed and very relieved our Mum is so well cared for.

Staff are caring and understanding. They show love to residents.

Whilst my Mum was a resident for 4 short weeks, she was treated with dignity and respect by all members of staff, I cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough. It is the best in the area. Every need of my mum was met to an excellent standard right up to the end. All the staff are a credit to their profession. We are always welcomed and made to feel special and everyone knew what they are doing and knew how my mum was doing, again can't thank you enough for what you did for my Mum and for us as a family.

My mother will have been at Water Royd for nine years next month. She was originally in the residential area but with the onset of dementia in the past couple of years has now moved into the dementia wing. She is well looked after and fully appreciates the comforts of the home. The standards of care and treatment in these nine years has always been excellent - as indicated below in my ratings.

My sister lived at this home for ten years and always felt loved.

Water Royd House is a welcoming, warm, friendly home. I am enjoying my stay here at present time. I have made new friends and staff are like my family.

As a ay pastoral minister for the church, we being a service to the residents. Also, I take communication to individual residents their request. Management have always, over the years, given us a very warm welcome and we appreciate that some residents are pleased that we visit.

My Mum spent four weeks respite at Water Royd and she was extremely happy and content with the respect and dignity shown to her by staff members. She enjoyed joining in with the activities. My Mum said she was overwhelmed by the choice of food at mealtimes offered to her. Mum would definitely stay here again and she has also recommended Water Royd to some of her neighbours and closest friends.

On visiting my relative when entering the building I was warmly welcomed by the management. The home had a very homely feel ad the staff were more than helpful. I sat in the room with my Mum. I saw staff regularly checking up on Mum (very caring). I noticed the home was very clean. My Mum told me everyone was kind and the food was lovely.

My nannan stayed at Water Royd House on respite for one week. My nannan enjoyed her stay and the staff were extremely caring and couldn't do enough

My grandma had respite for three days in this nursing home. She enjoyed it. She loves the food and the carers are helpful and friendly. She would love to come back in this nursing home.

Staff are very friendly and they will do anything for you. They come straight away when I ring the bell. The food is very good and they let me bring my own chair from home.

The care home is well maintained and cheerful. The activities which are available are plentiful and display for all to view.The food is good and all aspects of dining are taken into consideration and produced if requested by residents. The care is excellent and all resident's needs are catered for. The care staff and office staff are cheerful and helpful at all times.

My mother-in-law seems comfortable and well looked after. The staff pop in regularly and are friendly and helpful. Mother says the food is good and the staff always come round promptly when she rings for them, day or night. The premises are clean and tidy with no smells. Staff and management have been helpful in helping to arrange matters with external agencies such as social work and GP's.

This is a very busy care home with residents coming and going for many different needs and procedures. The staff members are very helpful and there are occasions when there are too few available and the staff are under pressure.
