Lovely care home, amazing staff and a manager who strives for the best for those they care for. Honestly over the moon with the care, Covid has made things hard but these little things put our minds at ease about our loved ones.

My mum was admitted to The Abbeys in October last year. The home and the staff present a warm and friendly environment.
My mum tells me that she is happy to stay which means a lot to me as it was a hard decision for me to make to place her in any home.
There is always something going off in the home with the activity coordinators taking the lead and ensuring the events are suited for all the residents.
Staff are patient and kind and have been wonderful during lockdown, the newsletter helped to stay in touch with the home and the set up of Skype was really beneficial.

All the staff are very caring and approachable at any time of the day and always have a smile for the residents and visitors, thus creating a calm and relaxed environment. All the residents appear to be treated as individuals and staff try hard to ensure that the residents' personal and social well being is met in the best way. The home is open to suggestions from relatives and residents to improve service.

From visiting my brother I have observed how kind and caring the staff are. The home is very clean and tidy and unlike other homes, I have visited has no unpleasant smells. Plenty of activities. My brother says food is excellent.

I was required by my consultant to have a period of respite care, this was to help me settle into new courses of treatment for my Parkinson's disease with tablets and injections for a period of 4 weeks. On arrival at The Abbeys, I was welcomed by the assistant manager and the senior carer who showed us around the premises, rooms, showers, bedrooms and just about all the service areas. Whilst at respite at The Abbeys, the whole staff welcomed me in, from the jobs, activities, medical dispensing or any other service they may be providing.

While here at The Abbeys my family decided to make this my new home.

This is the second care home my mother has been in. Abbeys is a wonderful homely place with carers who adhere well to her needs. Activities and occasional entertainment are good and very welcome stimulation for my mother who is immobile and has dementia. Happy we made the move to Abbeys.

I stayed here for one week while my daughter was on holiday. I was made very welcome by staff and residents. I was very well looked after and cared for. The food was very good and above all, I was always treated with dignity. I made lots of new friends, both staff and residents and would highly recommend to anyone like me.

I cannot praise the care staff, cleaners, reception and management enough for the excellent support and care they gave my mum and myself.
Although she was only here a short time, respect and dignity were paramount and standards were excellent.

The compassion and kindness when she died made me feel that the short time she had been in The Abbeys was special.

The staff at The Abbeys are fantastic, I've found them a great support. Not only to my father but to my family and myself. They're all happy and upbeat on every visit I have made and their interaction with the residents is brilliant. Nobody is ignored. I feel very relaxed about my father being here.

There ladies/gents put my mind at ease.

My brother was happy and satisfied with the conditions, never complaining. However, I found the amount of storage space totally inadequate for strong a lifelong belongings. It also concerned me that there were too many incontinent pads on open display in his room.

My initial contact was with the management and admin who were efficient and capable. I was able to select a room for my wife, it was light, airy, clean, welcoming and en-suite was of a high standard. The care staff are kind, caring with unbelievable patience in somewhat challenging circumstances. My wife is cared for in an excellent manner which retains her dignity. The Abbeys Care Centre provide an excellent service at a time when our family need understanding in dealing with these health problems.
