The home is clean. We are pleased with the care our loved one gets from the home. The staff are friendly and polite. It's a very nice place and we are extremely happy with the care.

I used to come and have my lunch at the Abbeys with my partner, before Covid-19. All the staff at the Abbeys are lovely and very polite. A member of staff always makes me a cup of tea and the senior carer is also great.

Dad came to the Abbeys for respite and settled well. Staff are very helpful and always happy to help. My worries were quickly put aside on our first visit. Dad looks better and happy. I've phoned a few times the manager is there to answer questions and supporting. Dad enjoys the food, he's happy so are we.

My brother looked for a place for his sister in May this year. My sister-in-law could no longer be cared for in her own home. It was a difficult choice for my husband but the staff made the move day smooth and gave us all the reassurance we needed. The seniors on duty were extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed. We've visited twice and always feel welcome by all.

My aunt has settled so well in the EMI unit. The last few weeks at her home were very stressful but she has fitted into life here so well. The family are so happy she is enjoying her new home and her appetite is back - she is eating everything they give her. The staff have been amazing throughout the whole transition period. They are a credit to the Abbeys.

My mum has been in care at The Abbeys for three years. She has not been in good health. The love and care she has received have been exceptional from the staff. Although she at times, has been frustrated with her health, she has felt safe and in the knowledge that she was not alone. She loves her carers, and this made me feel peaceful, as her loved one.

My mother-in-law had to go into emergency respite in January 2021, then 3 weeks later, we had to make the decision to make her a full-time resident.
After caring for my mother-in-law for a number of years, it was a very hard decision to make, especially with not being able to go in and view any care homes. The manager was fantastic, she went out of her way to make the transition run calmly. She even rang over the weekend in her own time to check-in and reassure us that all was well.
We are now coming into our 3rd month of her being a resident of The Abbeys, and we can not thank the staff enough. They go out of their way to run events she will enjoy.
Every window visit (due to restrictions), we have smiles and lots of stories from the staff.

Thank you to all staff at The Abbeys.

Before arriving at The Abbeys, Mum was subdued and unsettled. I am delighted to say that she now presents as happy, sociable and communicative - a complete transformation. From the first to the most recent contact with all of the staff at The Abbeys, I have been greeted and treated as if I belonged, and this has been extremely reassuring. I cannot compliment the staff at The Abbeys highly enough for the wonderful job they are doing and the consequent improvement in Mum.

My mother came to The Abbeys needing respite care after a fall at home. Mum had been very poorly and after a stay in the hospital; she was very withdrawn. As soon as she arrived at The Abbeys, she was greeted by very professional, caring and friendly staff. After a few days, she was a completely different person. She expressed how happy she was and enjoyed mixing in the communal lounge, and the change in her was amazing. I cannot thank the staff enough for their wonderful care and attention; the family are very grateful.

Every effort has been made to deal with deafness, sight and mobility problems. Care is excellent and a stroke was rapidly dealt with meaning maximum recovery possibilities. Carers and manager have been patient and understanding to overcome certain personality difficulties despite her resistance and the unusualness of her background. I recommend anyone seeking a really caring creative team. The home has dealt with the Covid-19 crisis very well and kept residents safe despite serious problems.

My brother-in-law has been a resident at The Abbeys for over six months now, and it was the best move he could possibly have made.
He was very lonely and hardly spoke to anyone in person during the week, now it's like he has a whole new family.
When we speak to him, he talks about all his new friends and the activities they do during the day.
He says he doesn't even miss the pub as they have a pub night and he gets to have a beer!

The staff have always been friendly and have always kept us informed. Nothing is too much for the staff and management.

All staff are friendly and caring, my friend is very happy in the home and the staff let me talk to him via phone and video calls, throughout covid lockdown. My friend's food is lovely and the home also got a pool table for residents to use.

Greeted with a smile, such a warm atmosphere when we visit. The staff are very polite and helpful. My friend looks happy and tells me she enjoys her days. I cannot wish for better. I am so glad she's found a warm home which is caring and at such a difficult time too. Well done to the staff.
