Grandmother came to Springfield in late November, she was met with the most caring members of staff. She was lucky to encounter a Portuguese carer. I have raised a few issues such as not changed often enough or jugs of water not changed for 3 days. I have also noticed how some members of staff get too
comfortable. All staff members are amazing, where all just adapting as we go I suppose.

My mother came to New Springfield from hospital for palliative care. It was extremely worrying time for all of us. We were welcomed warmly and settled in quickly. My mother said "why are they treating me so well coming here?" The staff have been excellent with mother and she has warmed to all of them.
The discussions regarding care plans is very reassuring and given me more peace of mind.

As a family, we searched for a care home offering respite care, leading to a permanent place. We searched online for homes having relationships with community groups and dementia freidnly charities. Highfield Hall Care Home had this, and I had heard positive anecdotal evidence from a friend. The manager
and senior carer, Sarah, visited Mum at her home after two impromptu visits by different members of the family. We have not been disappointed by the care and consideration they have shown our Mum. The staff answer all our questions as we are very new to this and want the best for Mum.
Reply from Anita Dennison, Interim Manager at Highfield Hall Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Highfield Hall Care Home. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for the trust you have placed in us during what we understand can be a challenging and emotional transition for families. It is wonderful to hear that our links with community groups and dementia-friendly charities, as well as the support provided by our senior carer and the wider team, have given you confidence and reassurance. We are delighted that your Mum is receiving the care, consideration, and respect she deserves, and we are always happy to answer questions and support families as they navigate this new journey. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback-it means a great deal to our whole team.

My mum has had a very happy six months at the Abbeys, the staff are amazing and treated mum like a relative. Mum was on day trips, entertained regularly with regular singers and no expense spared on making residents like mum happy.
My mum sadly died on the 9/12/25 but for mums end of life care the
previous 9 nights mum was treated exceptionally, we stayed with mum round the clock until her passing but we were provided meals, drinks literally nothing was any trouble for the wonderful staff who we will miss.
Dedication from all staff and everyone was brilliant but Lisa/Kat/Amanda/Zoe/Kirsten, Courtney and Jaime and thank you all.
Reply from Jamie Morgan, Manager at The Abbeys Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt and touching review.
We are truly honoured that your mum spent her final months with us and that we were able to make that time happy, comfortable, and full of meaningful moments. It means so much to us to hear that she enjoyed the trips, the entertainment, and the daily life here at the Abbeys.
We are deeply sorry for your loss, and our thoughts remain with you and your family. It was a privilege to care for your mum, especially during her final days. We are glad we could support both her and your family during that difficult time and provide some comfort while you stayed with her around the clock.
Your kind words about our team mean the world to us. We will be sure to pass on your thanks to Lisa, Kat, Amanda, Zoe, Kirsten, Courtney and all our staff, who truly do give their hearts to the care they provide.
Thank you again for trusting us with your mum's care. She will always be remembered fondly by our team.

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
Since my dad Joe came into care at White Ash Brook, he has deteriorated and had many falls. My sister and I have ensured all his clothes and shoes have labels in, but he is continually in other people's clothes and shoes. Most of the time, his drawers are empty. In his bathroom, on many occasions, there
have been no hand towels/paper towels or toilet paper. This is unacceptable. He has had a severe rash on his body, which was regarded as heat rash. To me, it was clearly scabies, confirmed in the hospital.
Reply from Sonya Oxley, Interim Manager at White Ash BrookThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value all comments from families, as they help us to continually review and improve our service. I appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your concerns in detail and to provide further information regarding your father's care.
