Preston Glades Care Home

We would like to thank the manager and care staff and all who work to ensure my mum is comfortable, happy, clean, fed and all her needs met, the staff all work as a team & always do their best to make it a happy place to live in, there have been a lot of upgrades to the home, decorating and making the place look a lot more inviting, they put on live shows with singers, dancing, afterwards teas, lots for the residents to enjoy, so thanks again to all the team.

I am extremely happy & satisfied with the care my dad receives! the staff are caring, friendly & profesional, & the whole experience has been excellent. I would highly recommend the care home

After one of her visits to the local hospital we had actually believed that mum was at the end, but on returning back to the care home she has gained weight and is back to her chatty, complaining self - well done!

I was in Hospital for one month where it was decided I needed nursing care after having respitory problems., Preston Glades was my designated nursing home and although I was anxious I had no reason to be worried.. I can only honestly say the manager, nurses and carers are wonderful so much better than the care home I was in before, it's just a lovely family feeling + nothing is too much trouble. The staff really do need some high praise, they treat me so well even the food here is of high quality!

When issues arise they take action and resolve promptly. Very accommodating and helpful staff.

There are too many people and acts of kindness to thank here (that I will do directly) but I wanted to recommend this caring and loving home to anyone who faces the daunting task of finding a 'new home' for their loved one at a very difficult time in their lives.

Unfortunately I am not happy with the care my nanny is receiving in this home. After several conversations with the management team, my nanny is still not being cared for efficiently. Where is the care?? It's absolutely breaking our hearts to know how much pain she is in and it's not being acknowledged.

We used Preston Glades care home for respite it was a 2 week stay and the first time here. He was so better looked after here than the previous one we had used on and off for the previous year. We needed to know he was having regular showers, medication was taken properly and he was getting some fresh air, which all seem to have been neglected at previous care home. But his care here was outstanding! Very friendly attentive staff, throughout. Very thorough in every aspect of his care. Management very thorough, fed well and was lucky enough to be there when a trip out had been arranged and also had a dance when a rock and roll group was on. Would definitely recommend this care home and thank you so much to all the staff who took care of him and he was so settled there, he will definitely be returning.

Very warm and clean, all the staff are lovely. It was very nicely decorated at Christmas with a lovely tree. The meals smell nice too, my brother goes once a month for respite and I don't know how we would manage without them.

Mum moved into Preston Glades Care Home September 2024 and I was pleasantly surprised how well and quickly she settled in after moving out of another home as suffers from Alzheimer's Dementia. The staff on the ward have welcomed both mum and family. Mum seems happier in her own way. Fully recommend Preston Glades as a Care/Nursing home for any family member.

The home has improved since new management took over, in cleanliness and decorations. Also the atmosphere is friendly and approachable.

My Mum moved into Preston Glades residential dementia unit at the end of October 2024. The care and dedication provided are outstanding. Mum has improved both physically and mentally. She has settled in so well thanks to the caring staff. There is a true and warm family atmosphere at Preston Glades that has benefited Mum and our family in so many ways. Thank you all so very much.

Just put my Mum in this home and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at how quickly she has settled in. The manageress and staff are lovely and it's been a very easy transition. I would certainly recommend this home.

Preston Glades Nursing Home sets the standard for excellent care and should be used as an example to other care/nursing homes (some of which sadly leave a lot to be desired). From the manager, the lovely, well organised and kind manager, downwards, all the staff in every capacity that we came across were genuinely committed to providing the best care they could for Mum. From day one we found peace of mind with Mum's care at Preston Glades. The sadness of a loved one with Alzheimer's is always there but with such caring and dedicated staff her care needs are looked after. Mum was as content as she could be (given her condition) and we were always made to feel welcome on our visits several times per week, week in and week out. Mum's regular carers and nursing staff receive our deepest gratitude. However, we found every member of staff accessible and helpful. Thank you so much.

Very caring, and happy my parents are there being looked after.

The attention to detail from the staff has been incredible. This is a new experience for the family and it is so so uncomfortable for us at this point. The Glades staff are happy to assist us with a care plan and Mum seems to be happy amongst the other residents. Her room is so nice and with a few personal bits and pieces, really has made it homely.
