I never believed the time or need to choose a care home for my dad would ever come, sadly dementia began to win. I visited Shawcross and immediately felt I didn't have a dilemma, the ethos is palpable, the atmosphere is filled with empathy and genuine care. The staff know the people they are caring
for, it is evident from their interest and curiosity that they want to see the whole person, and they do. Shawcross staff have given my dad as much autonomy as possible in a secure environment, he is nourished physically, mentally and emotionally, he is thriving! They are providing an environment for dad to start living again, he is seen, heard and understood, he is included and appreciated. The greatest gift they have given me is to be able to be a daughter again, we are having fun and making memories and I thank them all.

My sister-in-law has lived in this home for several months. She has a lovely large room overlooking green land. She feels at home here and enjoys watching the horses in the field. Through visiting twice a week we have witnessed the excellent care given to her by kind, respectful, caring staff. Although
her condition fluctuates due to health issues, the staff have dealt with them efficiently. Our relative says she is happy here in her home. We feel at peace that she is being looked after well.

My sister required 24hr care due to failing health & dementia. Although a very difficult decision to have to make. I feel this is the right home for her. I see the same staff regularly who show that they have got to know my sister & care for her well with love & dignity. The facilities are good & the
views at the back windows stunning. When she's well enough she has enjoyed us taking her to the social club next door & the church across the road which have established a good relationship with this homes staff & residents.

My mum receives excellent care. All of the staff are attentive and helpful. My mum is very settled in Shawcross Care Home and it is like home from home. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looked for place their relatives and loves ones into the care home.

Great care has been given with out relative in Shawcross he has had numerous medical issues. Staff were on hand to organise emergency help and assistance. My dad has just spent 5 weeks at the home. Can I just say everyone immediately made him welcome and looked after him like their own.
Sadly he passed but was looked after in a way I can only describe as passionate caring and beyond professional. The staff, from cleaners, cooks, office and nurses are
the most professional I can say. Not only cared for my dad but cared for each and every family member in attendance. Big big thank you especially in those last days, especially Sharon and Molly. X

After 7 weeks in hospital, Mum suffering from dementia, moved into nursing side of Shawcross.
After couple of week Mum showed signs of improvement started eating food. Staff, manager could not do enough, all very patient. Nothing too much trouble. Regular activities put on. Rooms are clean. Mum very
comfortable.

We as a family are extremely happy with the care given to our dad. We are so grateful to the carers and staff, dad is so happy and settled.
They made a fuss of him when he was 100 and did him a party. All the carers do their best also all staff and they work so hard.

Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Does not seem like a care home, more like a well-run hotel. The staff are caring, and patient and always make me a cup of tea when visiting. My dad is always clean and happy when I visit.

Our mum has been in Shawcross Care Home for only two weeks, I cannot believe the difference in the home compared to her last home. The care she is receiving has been exceptional, even as far as how clean she looks and dressed in matching clothing, making her feel good. The activities have been really
good, and Mum has enjoyed them - she is still a little unsure, but with moving her from her previous home and being in the hospital for over four weeks, she's just unsettled. I'm sure she will settle and we as a family can relax she is getting the best of care.

My husband was a resident at Showcross for seven months and died there on the 9th of December 2023. We were just too late to be with him, but he was surrounded by loving care, as he had been throughout. We, too, experience the compassionate care of the wonderful staff. They dealt with all the necessary
details and, as always, went that extra mile for us.
I cannot thank Shawcross enough for making those last months as good as they could possibly be.

Anoj has worked in the Health and Social Care Sector for over 20 years. He loves being able to make positive changes in his residents’ lives. He has a Level 4 NVQ in General Nursing and Psychiatry, a Registered Manager’s Award and a qualification in Mentorship Training. He spent 10 years working in a Psychiatric Hospital before changing his career path to caring for the elderly. As Home Manager, Anoj loves utilising his leadership skills by being a supportive role model for his team, to build their confidence, self-worth and drive. When he isn’t working, Anoj likes playing football and going on hikes. He is also very family-minded and loves to spend time with them whenever he can.
