We have been really happy with the care mum is receiving at Brierfield House, ever since she arrived. Her behaviours can be challenging at times but they always treat her with dignity and kindness. We are confident that any changes in her health are handled promptly, and they always try to make sure
she receives whatever is needed. We are kept very well informed about how she is in between our weekly visits, and are made welcome every time we visit. The team are cheerful and easy to talk to, and clearly spend time chatting with the residents. Meals, snacks and drinks are plentiful, and mum enjoys them. We are very pleased we found this lovely care home and recommend it wholeheartedly.

Our experience during the first two weeks has been excellent. From our very first enquiry about visiting, we were told we could come anytime, so we arrived at 6pm and received a very warm welcome from the deputy manager. He answered all our questions and showed us around. What really stood out was the
passion and kindness from all the staff.
This was the first care home we visited and we felt confident straight away. When my mum arrived, every member of staff came to welcome her and introduce themselves, including the manager which made her feel very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble - whether it was food, drinks or helping her settle in.
When we visited the next day, Mum was enjoying lunch with other residents, dressed nicely and looking happy. She told us, "I like it here, I want to stay." We can't thank the staff enough for their care, kindness and support.
Reply from Priya Mary, Manager at New Springfield Care HomeThank you so much for sharing your experience. It's wonderful to hear how positive those first few weeks have been for both you and your mum.
From the warm welcome on your very first visit to the time and care taken to answer your questions, it's clear the team made a strong first impression. It's especially meaningful that every member of the team took the time to introduce themselves and help your mum feel comfortable from the moment she arrived.
Hearing that she settled in so quickly, was enjoying meals with others, and felt happy and at ease is truly reassuring. Her words, "I like it here, I want to stay," say more than anything else could.
Your kind feedback about the team's compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile will mean a great deal to them. Thank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review.

My Mum lived at Preston Glades for almost three years. During that time her needs changed dramatically and sadly she passed away in February this year.
Yesterday the home laid on a beautiful memorial afternoon which was both touching and oozed with love that the staff and fellow residents had for
my Mum.
There are too many people and acts of kindness to thank here (that I will do directly) but I wanted to recommend this caring and loving home to anyone who faces the daunting task of finding a 'new home' for their loved one at a very difficult time in their lives.
Reply from Tracey Yates, Manager at Preston Glades Care HomeThank you for your kind words and recommendation. It was truly a pleasure caring for your mum, and the team will be very touched by your comments. Thank you again.

My sister has been living at White Ash Brook Care Home for some time now, and I couldn't be happier with the care and attention she receives. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel that it's a truly welcoming and compassionate place. The staff are not only professional and attentive,
but they also treat residents like part of a big family. The carers take real time to get to know each resident as an individual - their routines, their preferences, and the little things that make them happy. My sister, is living with challenging behaviour, has become so settled and content here. The team's patience and understanding make such a difference, and it's clear they genuinely care about the people they support. The environment at White Ash Brook is bright, comfortable, and homely, with lovely gardens where residents can relax or join in gentle activities. The meals are tasty and nutritious, and it's lovely to see that residents are well cared for.

My mum is in the EMD Unit and has been for 8 years. In the most recent years until present day, I am more happy and reassured with the level of care and quality of life that mum is now given, thanks to the wonderful staff and her environment. I am particularly impressed by both the unit manager and
the interim manager who really seem to have improved mums sitiatuion, and this is extremely reassuring.

Mum came to care home 2 weeks ago and appears to have settled very well. Bedroom is comfortable and the staff are very caring. She is being fed and looked after very well as she is bedbound and needs full time assistance.
Reply from Priya Mary, Manager at New Springfield Care HomeThat's really reassuring to hear. Unfortunately I am not happy with the care my nanny is receiving in this home. After several conversations with the management team, my nanny is still not being cared for efficiently. Where is the care?? It's absolutely breaking our hearts to know how much pain she is in and it's not being acknowledged.

Mum was here 5 times last year for respite and the last time for palliative were she passed away. Honest review, very clean at all times, need reception staff for the door, not acceptable staff being taken off their day job to open for visitors in and out, more full-time staff needed to much pressure
put on those that work so hard and sorry, found agency staff not as caring and don't know residents, needs poor at times. Mum's ring was taken hours after left, not happy, never found! Can't fault mums last few days, staff were amazing.
Reply from Anita Dennison, Interim Manager at Highfield Hall Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I understand why this situation may have felt unsettling, and I appreciate you raising it. I want to reassure you that we're always focused on supporting our team and helping people grow, while making sure fair and transparent processes are followed. The safety and wellbeing of those who live with us always comes first. On rare occasions where extra support is needed and our team can't pick up overtime, we may use agency to ensure our quality care remains safe and consistent. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. I hope this helps reassure you that our focus remains on our people, our residents, and the quality care we provide here at Highfield Hall.

Grandmother came to Springfield in late November, she was met with the most caring members of staff. She was lucky to encounter a Portuguese carer. I have raised a few issues such as not changed often enough or jugs of water not changed for 3 days. I have also noticed how some members of staff get too
comfortable. All staff members are amazing, where all just adapting as we go I suppose.
Reply from Priya Mary, Manager at New Springfield Care HomeThank you for sharing your experience. It's really reassuring to hear that your grandmother was welcomed so warmly and supported by such caring staff, especially having someone she could connect with on a cultural level.
I appreciate your honesty in raising some concerns as well. Things like regular personal care and ensuring fresh water is always available are so important for comfort and dignity, and it's right that these are addressed. It's also understandable that, as teams settle into routines, maintaining professionalism and consistency remains essential.
It sounds like there is a strong foundation of genuinely caring staff, and with continued attention to these areas, the overall experience can only improve. Your feedback is valuable in helping ensure the highest standards are maintained.

My mother came to New Springfield from hospital for palliative care. It was extremely worrying time for all of us. We were welcomed warmly and settled in quickly. My mother said "why are they treating me so well coming here?" The staff have been excellent with mother and she has warmed to all of them.
The discussions regarding care plans is very reassuring and given me more peace of mind.
Reply from Priya Mary, Home Manager at New Springfield Care HomeThank you for sharing this with us. As a family, we searched for a care home offering respite care, leading to a permanent place. We searched online for homes having relationships with community groups and dementia freidnly charities. Highfield Hall Care Home had this, and I had heard positive anecdotal evidence from a friend. The manager
and senior carer, Sarah, visited Mum at her home after two impromptu visits by different members of the family. We have not been disappointed by the care and consideration they have shown our Mum. The staff answer all our questions as we are very new to this and want the best for Mum.
Reply from Anita Dennison, Interim Manager at Highfield Hall Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Highfield Hall Care Home. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for the trust you have placed in us during what we understand can be a challenging and emotional transition for families. It is wonderful to hear that our links with community groups and dementia-friendly charities, as well as the support provided by our senior carer and the wider team, have given you confidence and reassurance. We are delighted that your Mum is receiving the care, consideration, and respect she deserves, and we are always happy to answer questions and support families as they navigate this new journey. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback-it means a great deal to our whole team.
