Grandmother came to Springfield in late November, she was met with the most caring members of staff. She was lucky to encounter a Portuguese carer. I have raised a few issues such as not changed often enough or jugs of water not changed for 3 days. I have also noticed how some members of staff get too
comfortable. All staff members are amazing, where all just adapting as we go I suppose.

My mother came to New Springfield from hospital for palliative care. It was extremely worrying time for all of us. We were welcomed warmly and settled in quickly. My mother said "why are they treating me so well coming here?" The staff have been excellent with mother and she has warmed to all of them.
The discussions regarding care plans is very reassuring and given me more peace of mind.

As a family, we searched for a care home offering respite care, leading to a permanent place. We searched online for homes having relationships with community groups and dementia freidnly charities. Highfield Hall Care Home had this, and I had heard positive anecdotal evidence from a friend. The manager
and senior carer, Sarah, visited Mum at her home after two impromptu visits by different members of the family. We have not been disappointed by the care and consideration they have shown our Mum. The staff answer all our questions as we are very new to this and want the best for Mum.
Reply from Anita Dennison, Interim Manager at Highfield Hall Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of Highfield Hall Care Home. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for the trust you have placed in us during what we understand can be a challenging and emotional transition for families. It is wonderful to hear that our links with community groups and dementia-friendly charities, as well as the support provided by our senior carer and the wider team, have given you confidence and reassurance. We are delighted that your Mum is receiving the care, consideration, and respect she deserves, and we are always happy to answer questions and support families as they navigate this new journey. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback-it means a great deal to our whole team.

My mum has been in New Springfield since 2019, she has alzheimers/dementia and it is now quite advanced but the care home has always adapted well to her changing care needs and I feel quite happy, she is well looked after. The home has recently been decorated and the environment is pleasant with caring
staff.

My dad has been in Springfield Home since August. He has a very nice, spacious bedroom which is kept clean and tidy. The senior nursing staff deal promptly with any concerns, either medical or personal. The food is good, and there is plenty of it. There are various activities several times a week. I
feel confident that my dad is being cared for and is happy to be left.

White Ash Brook

from C M (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 October 2025

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
Since my dad Joe came into care at White Ash Brook, he has deteriorated and had many falls. My sister and I have ensured all his clothes and shoes have labels in, but he is continually in other people's clothes and shoes. Most of the time, his drawers are empty. In his bathroom, on many occasions, there
have been no hand towels/paper towels or toilet paper. This is unacceptable. He has had a severe rash on his body, which was regarded as heat rash. To me, it was clearly scabies, confirmed in the hospital.
Reply from Sonya Oxley, Interim Manager at White Ash BrookThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We value all comments from families, as they help us to continually review and improve our service. I appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your concerns in detail and to provide further information regarding your father's care. I am grateful that we were able to address the issues raised and hope you now feel more informed and reassured following our discussion.

My father moved into Highfield Hall Care Home around 20months ago in the dementia side, and lived there up until his death very recently. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness & caring support, not only to our father, but also to us as a family. I can not sing their praises highly enough.
Our fathers life ended in the home & even after death their respect & compassion to Dad & again ourselves was outstanding. We as a family would highly recommend Highfield Hall as the perfect home for your loved one.
Reply from Anita Dennison, Interim Manager at Highfield Hall Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such heartfelt words about your father's time with us at Highfield Hall. We are truly sorry for your loss, and it means a great deal to know that our care and support brought comfort to both your father and your family during his time here.
Our team strives to create a warm, respectful, and homely environment for every resident, and hearing that you felt supported throughout this journey is deeply meaningful to us. We will be sure to share your kind words with all our team-they will be touched to know their care made such a difference.
Please accept our sincere condolences once again, and thank you for recommending Highfield Hall as a home for others. It was an honour and a privilege to care for your father.

We used Preston Glades care home for respite it was a 2 week stay and the first time here. He was so better looked after here than the previous one we had used on and off for the previous year. We needed to know he was having regular showers, medication was taken properly and he was getting some fresh
air, which all seem to have been neglected at previous care home. But his care here was outstanding! Very friendly attentive staff, throughout. Very thorough in every aspect of his care. Management very thorough, fed well and was lucky enough to be there when a trip out had been arranged and also had a dance when a rock and roll group was on. Would definitely recommend this care home and thank you so much to all the staff who took care of him and he was so settled there, he will definitely be returning.

Mum's stay, since 2023, has been a testing one due to her mental health. However, since the take over, it seems that her needs, physical, mental and general attention, has improved. The food has especially been improved to a lighter standard. The surroundings and facilities along with a cinema style
room area great idea. The staff are special and have a great rapport with mum which is vital for me. And after 2 years and 5 months, my mum's well-being is more than satisfactory.
