My brother has recently moved into Alexandra from respite to permanent residency and just from the few weeks he's been here, I am extremley happy with the care and support he has been given. The staff are caring and professional but above all the nursing staff and Alison the manager go above and beyond. They are a true credit to this care home and I'm so thankful

Exceptionally wonderful. Alison and her team took Dad on as if they were their own family members. They went above and beyond all our expectations, can't fault them in any way, highly trained, professional, very comforting, and how they empathise with us. The time and effort they put into looking after everyone there is amazing. They never complain, they speak, listen, love, laugh, cry; they're on the same journey as you.

It took a while to persuade my mum to go into Alexandra, but once she tried it the staff and management made mum feel like it was her own home, they would make her feel totally relaxed and enjoy her time, they kept her busy with doing activities and days out.
During her stay she was smiling and it was like the old mum enjoying herself and this was a godsend for me and my brother as we could relax knowing mum was well taken care off.

A big thank you to Alison and the carers as they made mums stay totally enjoyable and I would recommend the Alexandra to anyone

Whilst my mom was in the home the staff and management couldn't do enough to make her stay like she was in her home. I couldn't speak highly enough of the home and staff. They were always having entertainment or taking them places. This is how a home should be run as I was a carer myself so I know what it's like with the care sector. I also was very relaxed that I could be at ease with my mom's care.

My husband came for respite care on 30th July until 13th August. He needed a lot of help in bodily cleanliness and feeding. He was treated with care, dignity and kindness from all the staff - cleaners, nurses, carers and management. I was made to feel very welcome when I visited him. I have no hesitation in recommending Alexandra Care Home to all my friends and will willingly bring my husband back for respite care when the occasion arises.

Mum seems very happy at the home. She is well looked after and joins in activities in the lounge and eats dinner with the other residents. We are very pleased with the care, she is receiving and find all the staff very friendly.

Cannot thank the staff at Alexandra enough for all the care they provided for my late Grandad. Everyone was amazing with not only him but our family too. He didn't have a bad word to say about the staff, they always went above and beyond, treating him with dignity and respect right up to the time of his passing and afterward. The staff supported the family in one of our hardest times.

My late brother was in Alexandra Care Home for over 6 years. The Management and all the staff have all been brilliant in looking after him. His special needs sometimes tried everyone’s patience, the Alexandra is what all homes should be like. The staff always welcoming kind and thoughtful, the food is quality and the cleanliness is spot on. Nobody looks forward to putting a loved one in a nursing home, But from day one I had no worries, I wish to thank everyone at Alexandra for looking after my brother,

I am so pleased that my son is a resident of this lovely care home. I have friends who are residents in other care homes who are not as good as his one. It gives me peace of mind he is cared for in every possible way, with good food cooked by a very good chef. The carers are very kind and cheerful and will sort out any problems. The rooms are well furnished and very bright; the walls have interesting pictures and lovely ornaments on the shelves. A very good manager who listens and sorts problems very kindly. A first-class care home - five stars.

Mum had been a resident in Alexandra Nursing & Residential Home for a period of three months after a lengthy period of care at home. During her time there and despite her terminal diagnosis, her mental health lifted as a result of the connections she was able to make alongside the care she received from the dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble and people went out of their way to ensure everything was done in a professional way.
Staff's determination to make a difference in the lives of those they care for creates a wonderful ethos; something that any family member faced with the agonising decision to place their loved one into a home needs. Warmth, understanding and humour are visible in the many interactions that occur on a daily basis; this was also extended to us, as family members.

I would, without reservation, recommend Alexandra to anyone seeking peace of mind in what can be a difficult time.

I cannot recommend the home and staff highly enough. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate my dad and us as a family whilst Dad has been living with them. I don't think anyone wants to think about placing their parent in a care home but from the moment I entered the home I knew that the staff were what made the place special.

I cannot recommend Alexandra Care Home enough. My father was a resident for eight years, and throughout that time, he was cared for to the highest quality.

All the staff were caring and professional, knowledgeable, empathetic, supportive of both resident and family, helpful, kind and good-humoured, and the food was excellent. They provided a caring, safe environment for my father in his last years, and I couldn’t thank them enough for all they have done - they are stars.

This care home is by far the most amazing. I have had two family members cared for here. They go above and beyond to accommodate everything needed for their residents and family. All the staff are so amazing - the care they all provide is outstanding. It is like no other care home I've been in, and I've visited over 12 to find the right one! It's more of a big hotel with everything your loved one could need or want. I would most definitely recommend this care home and have done so in the past. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they have done over the last nine years.

This is how every care home should be. Compassionate, caring, understanding, well-led and you feel like part of the family. The manager and her amazing staff looked after my mum in May until she recently passed away. Nothing was too much trouble. They fed me whilst I was with Mum in her last days and couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everyone is a friend at Alexandra and not just a resident. I would highly recommend this home to anyone thinking of nursing care for their family members. Thank you to all of you.
