My mum was placed in this nursing home coming up 12 months ago with dementia, the care and compassion from the staff is outstanding. Everyone is always welcoming and polite and treats everyone with dignity and any problems you are contacted immediately, you could not wish for any better help and understanding from any of the staff. They are all wonderful.
Hi Jeanette, thank you so much for your review. This means a lot to staff that it is noticed.
My partner moved into the Alexandra Nursing Home following a very lengthy stay in hospital due to multiple strokes and he has now been there 5 weeks. His needs are quite complex and I have to say I could not have asked for these to be managed any better than they are being now. The management team, who are excellent, ensured I was fully involved in his care plan and have made sure that this has been stringently executed meaning my partner's condition is the most stable it has been since before his 1st stroke. All the staff are knowledgeable, dedicated, caring, and kind, nothing is too much trouble for them for not only my partner but me too. They have made the most difficult of circumstances in which my partner needed to be in a nursing home easier to bear. All Covid guidelines are followed to the letter and I am confident that he is safe and well cared for. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for your kind words. Can we just say that we always try our best to ensure the care we give is good quality care. We always pass comments on to all staff and in these extremely difficult times, it makes our job all worthwhile.
The Management Team and all staff are amazing! Every time I visit it's evident that everyone is dedicated to caring for all. My family and I live in the North East of England, so can only visit every couple of months, and the staff keep me updated with my grandmother's health and wellbeing, assist with WhatsApp conversations, as well as send emails and photos. My grandmother is so happy and settled and this gives my family and I such a sense of happiness knowing that she feels like this when we live so far away - and this is all down to the wonderful group of people working there! The care home and environment is so welcoming, warm, and homely and my family and I recommend it to anyone.
Well, Lisa, thank you so much for your kind review, we all appreciate it very much. Hope to see you soon, take care.
I go to the Alexandra 5 times a year for 2 weeks at a time. I think this is my ninth or tenth year at this home. They always make me feel welcome, the staff are very nice if you ask them for something they will do all they can to help you. The food is lovely since we got a new manager we have more fresh food, lovely. Me, I do my own activities plus I do take part in the activities in the home. And when it's time to go home they wash all my clothes and pack them away.
Well thank you, Peter, we look forward to your next visit.
My mum was admitted to the Alexandra Care Home on Wednesday 28th September 2021 from hospital for Respite. On my arrival, I was met by a member of staff who was wearing PPE. I was given a lateral flow test before I was allowed in the building. After my test, I was shown to my mum's room which was very clean and a nice room. All corridors are kept clean and tidy. While I was there staff were always coming in to check on mum giving her drinks and monitoring them on a fluid intake chart. 2 members of staff came and stood by my mum to relieve her pressure areas. All staff I met that visit were professional compassionate and caring in their role. My mum is happy to be staying at the Alexandra and I am very pleased how my mum is being cared for. I could not have found her a better place to be. The food is good and my mum seems to be eating fairly well. I would recommend the Alexandra for anyone who needs care for a relative who would be cared for by a dedicated compassionate caring team and manager.
We are so glad your Mum has settled here and you are very happy she is being cared for as part of our family.
My mum has been there 2yrs. The care and respect she gets is brilliant. All staff are friendly, nothing too much trouble, the management and the PA are brilliant. Nothing ever too much trouble. I don’t worry as much now knowing mum is taken care of.
We all appreciate your feedback here at Alexandra. Thank you for all your support and the crafting you donate.
I had a window visit with my Mum today who is 97 years old, she was on one of her "good " days recognising me blowing kisses smiling looking very happy. The staff always help her look smart and make sure she has her costume jewellery on, which was always something she wore at home. She always looks healthy and hydrated and enjoys her meals. The staff always go out of their way to help not just the care staff but the administration and ancillary staff are happy to make the Alexandra a home from home.
Thank you for your lovely comments, Norma. We appreciate your feedback. Staff will be happy to see such positive comments about them! Keep safe and well Norma.....see you very soon.
My mum passed away in March 2019 I cannot thank the staff for the kindness and excellent care they gave my mum when she went in for respite. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff for both mum and the family. They treated mum with respect and dignity every time she went in. All the staff and manager should be so proud of themselves for the great job they do for all the residents.
I cannot thank the staff and management at Alexandra enough. My mam passed away on the 20 March 2019, the staff treated her and ourselves with the utmost respect, nothing was ever too much trouble for any of them. I was so lucky to have found somewhere that I felt comfortable with as we knew she couldn’t have been better looked after. You should all be so proud of yourselves. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
