Located in the historic town of Kimberworth, Cherry Trees is the only care home in Rotherham to be awarded ‘Outstanding’ in care in November 2019 by CQC. Cherry Trees offers 66 en-suite rooms equipped with the latest facilities and amenities.

The dementia-friendly home was awarded Care Home of the Year at the 2018 Orchard Care Home Heart Awards, and the Activity Coordinator won the Activity Coordinator Award for Yorkshire and Humberside at The Great British Care Awards 2017.

The home provides care for several conditions and complex needs, the staff are trained in end of life care and work with the Rotherham Hospice and local NHS teams, including District Nurses and mental health teams.

The home offers an activities room, dementia café, and a bright and airy conservatory, with access to secure gardens. Residents enjoy a variety of activities and the home hosts regular clubs such as the men’s health club. They boast strong links with the local community including schools, places of worship and Rotherham Football Club who often invite them to visit their stadium.

In what have been extremely difficult times for all of the population over the last year in relation to Covid 19, the knowledge that Mum is safe and cared for at Cherry Trees has been a great comfort and relief. All the team have ensured that as a family we are welcomed and included in Mum's care whilst
maintaining Covid safe care practices.
One of the areas Cherry Trees excels at is person-centred care, it is obvious that everyone in the home has really good knowledge about Mum and demonstrates care and compassion about all aspects of her life. The main thing is Mum is happy and Cherry Trees is her home and that is priceless.

My dad was in the care home for only a short time due to his health. During that time he was treated with excellent care and dignity. Management and all staff were friendly and efficient with the care of my dad, keeping family members informed of any developments or needs. I would certainly recommend
this care home for residential care. 5 star.

I have not seen my grandad this happy, relaxed and this well in a long time. He hasn't been in Cherry Trees long but this difference is amazing. Coming to Cherry Trees has given him a new lease of life and a proper spring in his step. We are all over the moon he has made Cherry Trees his new home.

My grandad has recently moved to Cherry Trees and has settled really well. This is all down to the staff making it warm, caring and a friendly place. After just a couple of weeks my dad has settled in Cherry Trees amazingly. He has lived alone for 6 years, with visits and help from family. An emotional time for us, moving him into care, but he absolutely loves it. He keeps saying he couldn't wish for anything better. Such a shame that at this time
we can only visit 'through the window' but under the circumstances that is sufficient, at least we can see him. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming. He keeps saying he doesn't want for anything. He looks very comfortable in his new home. We are very, very satisfied and happy with his care. Thank you all.

Cherry Trees provided my Mum with a family. They entertained her, cared for her, comforted her and at the end, they were with her. They also cared for me. They knew when to contact me and when I was there, they welcomed me. They made me feel part of the team. They are professional, more than tolerant
and they share a wonderful sense of humour. They keep Cherry Trees clean, welcoming and fun; a real home from home.

Professional, but all the same time kind, caring and considerate, not only treat my mum with respect and kindness but also myself. Nothing was too much. I was able to spend time with my mum who was treated with dignity at all times. I believe she was loved and cared for by all the staff.

Ever since my nan was moved to Cherry Trees, staff have been friendly and helpful. It has been difficult for us moving Nan to residential care but the staff are just so warm and have gone out of their way to help whenever I have been there and had a query.
Her room is always clean and she seems to
be settling and acknowledges how well cared for she is there. All members of staff speak with you on each visit and never seem inconvenienced by any requests you make of them. A really great care home which is made by the staff!

I have found Cherry Trees Rotherham employees very helpful, kind and courteous throughout my family member's stay. It seems to be well managed, clean and comfortable. Bedding is clean and changed regularly and the nursing staff caring and efficient and always prepared to answer questions. I have no

From the first time we walked into Cherry Trees we felt the welcoming environment. All the staff are really friendly and enthusiastic; the residents seemed really happy and well looked after. The facilities are excellent (some really innovative activities for the residents to participate in). Would
