Located in the historic town of Kimberworth, Cherry Trees is the only care home in Rotherham to be awarded ‘Outstanding’ in care in November 2019 by CQC. Cherry Trees offers 66 en-suite rooms equipped with the latest facilities and amenities.

The dementia-friendly home was awarded Care Home of the Year at the 2018 Orchard Care Home Heart Awards, and the Activity Coordinator won the Activity Coordinator Award for Yorkshire and Humberside at The Great British Care Awards 2017.

The home provides care for several conditions and complex needs, the staff are trained in end of life care and work with the Rotherham Hospice and local NHS teams, including District Nurses and mental health teams.

The home offers an activities room, dementia café, and a bright and airy conservatory, with access to secure gardens. Residents enjoy a variety of activities and the home hosts regular clubs such as the men’s health club. They boast strong links with the local community including schools, places of worship and Rotherham Football Club who often invite them to visit their stadium.

My mother lives in Cherry Trees and she is well looked after. The care and support she has there is excellent. Her room is spotless and smells lovely and fresh. She is looking a lot stronger now and has put weight on and she enjoys the meals. The management and staff are brilliant with her. She enjoys
the activities and all the pampering she gets. Cherry Trees is a lovely home and I would highly recommend it.

First visit at this care home to see my gram, the attitude of staff is very caring, we were made to feel welcome and were shown to my gram's room, nice friendly faces around. The decor is bright and cheery too. My experience today was a good one.

All the staff from Management downwards are all first class. Their professionalism cannot be praised enough. Nothing is too much trouble. They go above and beyond to look after the residents.

Since my mother has been a resident she has had to have paramedics twice and was taken to hospital the second time. During this period the care could not have been better The action was prompt and the procedure above reproach. Everyone there is caring and very kind.

My Mother was in for 2 weeks and in that time there were no activities at all. We were very disappointed as that was the reason why we put Mum in there.


Down the hall where the rooms are it smelt of urine.

The staff could not do enough for my Dad and us, as a family, even though my father's stay was short due to his dementia and his untimely death. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, also kept us informed of any trips or falls he had.

Mum needed respite care and was very resistant to getting help. Within a week she is laughing for the first time in months and as happy as Larry. The home is clean and welcoming and the staff are brilliant.

Cherry Trees is a modern, well equipped and staffed care home. Residents are treated with dignity and respect and the well-trained staff will go the extra mile for both residents and relatives. Nutritious meals prepared in-house which can be tailored to an individual's needs which helps make Cherry

This is the best care home in the area, prior to my cousin coming to this home we checked out several others in the area.
The staff are very professional and helpful. The care giver is the best.

My friend has come in and although she's been in respite several times at different care homes. She seems really happy here. Staff are caring, trying to accommodate any request when possible. The staff are cheerful. We are trying to get here in permanently.

From the first minute we entered Cherry Trees we (my mother and I) were warmly welcomed. My mother thoroughly enjoyed her stay. The staff were caring and saw her as an individual and catered to her needs. The food, facilities, activities and her room were excellent.

The staff are very easy to approach and gather information from, always happy to oblige any small or large issues we have had with mum in their care. Always greeted with a smile and listen to our sadness with mum having Alzheimer's which came on very suddenly from being okay December 2015 to now being
very changed, frustrated, agitated and sad at times, very confused. All the carers and nursing staff very gentle and caring to mum needs for her welfare.
