All the staff are extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Everyone is always friendly and cheerful. It is not a care home, its a home. The Wellbeing coordinator is an absolute star. She is relentless when it comes to keeping the resident soccupied and happy. The food is excellent and perfect for the age of my Aunty.
My Mother entered the home for end of life care. The staff were respectful, caring both of my Mum and of her family when we visited at all hours of day and night. My Mother looked the happiest she had looked for many months and the manner of her passing was painless and loving. We, the family, are extremely grateful to the staff for giving us this reassuring memory of our Mum in her last weeks of life. A big thank you.
Mum has been in Swallownest care home for 9 years, where she got and still gets the best of care. All the staff are great and go out of their way to be helpful.
The activities which are available for residents to be part of are well organised.
Many thanks to everyone.
I couldn't have wished for a more friendly, helpful greeting when first visiting the nursing home when my 98-year-old mother required more care than I could provide. The manager and nursing staff all gave mother excellent care, help and attention, especially as she became more confused and occasionally disgruntled. They always managed to cheer her up, have a laugh and a joke and just a chat from time to time. Mum was quite reticent when meeting new people but all the staff helped her to feel part of a family. I can't praise them enough. They all work extremely hard. It is a very busy nursing home but the staff always make time for you and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My Mum went into Swallownest Care home for 2 weeks respite. I can recommend it very highly. Every one of the staff is kind, caring, friendly and considerate. The home is excellent, very clean, good meals, plenty of activities for the residents. It was a good experience for my Mum's first time in a care home and we will use it again in the future.
I have found the home to be extremely well run. Clean and all employees are capable of their duties. My father is extremely well looked after and wants for nothing over 24 hours.
My mum-in-law has settled in lovely after moving in for respite. She didn't want to return home. She has never looked so well and happy.
Staff are very caring, compassionate, respectful and attentive. It was lovely to see their interaction with the residents - the residents laughing and dancing with them. Residents were clean and there was no smell of urine which many homes have.
It was lovely to see animals visiting the residents not to mention the wonderful entertainment. Mum's last week 5 of us kept her company - we were well supplied with food and drink. I would like to say a big thank you to all staff who made the last 2 weeks of mum's life and after the best in many months.
It is a pleasure of visit my sister as everyone is so pleasant and caring.
Swallownest Care Home is the best and most caring care home I have experienced. I am so glad my mum spent the short time she had left at such a wonderful establishment. The whole team were amazing. I'd like to give a special mention to the manager and a particular nurse and a carer who took the time to talk to us to ensure all our needs were met. The catering staff looked after mum and the family well when we visited, I was allowed to stay with mum for the last few days and am very grateful to be given the opportunity. Mum had a wonderful time at the home and the entertainment was fantastic. Mum lit up in the short time she was there. The staff went over and above right to the end. Thank you for making mum's time very special.
The home communicated with me whenever there was a need or problem. The carers and nursing staff often went over and above the call of duty. Swallownest Care Home has a happy and warm atmosphere, where residents are treated with respect and feel safe.
Very professional staff sets them above other care home companies. Nursing staff dedicated and fully aware of my father's needs. Always keen to keep you updated on his general state of health. Home modern clean and tidy. Excellent choice of food and activities. Very impressed with the first 6 months of Dad's time here.
I have only one complaint and that is that the lower car park could be marked out into bays making it easier to park as some cars are parked ad lib without thought for others and a lot of space is wasted.
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as it allows us to improve our service where required. We have taken on board your suggestion of marking car parking bays and will request our maintenance operative does this when weather conditions permit. There is also another car park at the...
Could not have wished for better.
If I want to know anything I have only to speak to someone or they will ring me.
His last days were treated with care, dignity and we know he felt the same, which was a big comfort to his family.
Having sat many hours in the lounge and restaurant with my wife, I must compliment the staff on the compassion they show when dealing with the residents.
Mum's problems are always tried to be sorted, wherever possible.
She enjoys the communal areas and sitting with the other residents.
Swallownest Care Home was recommended to us and we are so glad it was. The staff are so caring and patient, nursing care is excellent, food wonderful, with facilities to suit all needs. Activities are so varied and inclusive for all. Nothing is too much trouble - for residents or their families. Her living here has allowed us to enjoy the time we've had left with our mum, free from usual daily tasks. This time was precious. If you are lucky enough to get a place here, you will have no worries at all.
