The staff are always extremely welcoming on arrival. My nan is towards the end of her life and this is difficult for her and the staff. This does not affect the care she is offered and the dignity that she is shown. I appreciate all that is done for her.
Thank you for your kind words, and for trusting us to look after your nan.
I totally would not hesitate in recommending Laureate Court.
Hello Brendan, thank you so much for the review. We are happy to hear your father enjoyed his respite care, and we are grateful for your recommendation. We always believe relatives should be informed of all updates, and we appreciate your positive feedback.
The care and support our father has received during the COVID-19 pandemic has been excellent. My dad has had COVID-19 and has survived it, not only due to his strength but due to the care he has received whilst he has been at Laureate Court. Nothing has been too much trouble for the staff. They have updated regularly and have been open and transparent throughout.
To the manager and all the staff, especially on the Shelley Unit, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are all God's Angels, and we cannot thank you enough.
My Mum was a resident at Laureate Court Care Home (Keats) from July 2018 until her death on the 31st March 2020. I would personally like to thank all staff for the way my Mum was looked after, she was treated with the utmost respect and love at all times. I too was always made welcome on my regular visits and I was treated more like a friend than just a visitor. From the bottom of my heart thank you, thank you, thank you.
The staff were very welcoming and very attentive to everyone. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and a happy place.
I would highly recommend.
Came on a visit with my wife, to visit a friend of the family. The welcoming was warm and friendly, and all the staff were smartly dressed in their uniforms, the nurses were very helpful too; when asked questions. Can highly recommend this home.
My mum was a resident at Laureate Court for over 11 years. It is said in life and employment you are only a name and number but when my mum died very unexpectedly I received no communication from the Management Team or the homeowners Larchwood Care at all. No representative attended her funeral despite the service details being passed on. It's bad enough losing someone but to think she was not worthy of the cost of a few minutes to send a letter to her next of kin and family is appalling. I took special care for the celebrant to thank the staff that cared for my mother at the end of the service but no one was there to hear it. I also have sent 2 emails to Larchwood Care but have not received any acknowledgement or reply to my concerns.
Both my grandparents came here together. All staff provided excellent care and were very supportive to all family members.
Friendly atmosphere, home-like but staff are stern when necessary with relatives when too many coming round breakfast and dinner times etc, which is right.
Through illness, we had to put our inlaws in Laureate Court. They both loved it, staff brilliant, friendly always spoke to us. They were absolutely brilliant when they both took a turn for the worse, not only looked after the inlaws but us too. I can't thank the staff and management enough for what they have done.
My grandparents went in the home at the same time, the staff could not do enough for them. Always made sure they were together and made them feel right at home.
When I visited my uncle, I could tell by his appearance that he was receiving high standards of care and I could tell that he was happy in his surroundings. The staff were very polite and friendly, one thing I did notice was how they encouraged snacks and fluids between main meals and how well they interacted with residents. Not only that but how clean the home looked, there had been a new floor laid and it really felt like a home from home. I would very much recommend Laureate Court!
Food is good.
Mum has settled in well, made friends and joins in with activities.
A friend of mine was being cared for in Laureate Court earlier this year. Laureate Court is clean and bright as you enter through the main entrance. My friend's room was clean and pleasant, all staff I have met while visiting are polite caring and friendly. As you walk through Laureate Court's corridors there are many photographs of service users on the corridor walls where they have been taking part in different activities. The dining room is pleasant and inviting with tables set ready for meals. Nothing is too much trouble for staff if you need anything or ask any questions. All staff have cared for my friend with respect and dignity at all times.
We had been looking after our relative for some time at home, sharing out the care load between us all, but due to a quick decline in her mental health, Nan needed 24-hour care. Laurette Court was the only care home we visited, it was a welcoming, friendly atmosphere, the environment is clean and fresh. We, as a family, had a lot of guilt about having to do it, as we had promised we would always look after her, but the time had come and we needed to do what was best for Nan. The manager was really understanding and took time out to chat with us on several occasions. Nan settled in quite quickly and enjoys daily activities to the best of her ability. She is always dressed nicely and looks clean. If we have any concerns the staff are always able to discuss them with us. There is also a secure courtyard which she can sit out in and enjoy the sunshine. We couldn’t thank the staff enough for what they do for her.
My wife had been in care for 5 years with a care home which closed the home at short notice, this caused great worry to residents and families. The search for a new care home was very stressful. Laureate Court said they could provide the level of demanding care my wife required. I have been extremely happy with the level of care my wife has received in the last 6 months. The carers and staff have been very committed and friendly. My wife has been very relaxed and contented. I am happy and satisfied.
Very welcoming, nice lovely atmosphere. All staff polite and nothing is too much. Documentation is available to read and is a very open and honest approach which I loved as it always made me feel very easy when visiting. Couldn't have wished for a better place for my family member to be a part of.
Once again I cannot fault this home. I went to visit a friends family member and she looked very well and approprately dressed for where she was sat in the lounge. She was joining in the activity which at the time making cards to give to relatives for birthdays. The staff were so patient and kind showing them how to do them. The staff were polite and very well presented in their uniforms. The manager greeted me at the door and was very approachable and helpful as I wanted some information which she found for me. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for her and the staff.
My mum came to visit a friend who she has known for years. The staff and manager were very friendly and helpful towards my mum when she arrived the staff offered her a cup of tea straight away. They made her feel very welcome they had set up afternoon tea for both of them in her room. She had a lovely afternoon and would recommend this home to anyone. Thank you from mum for such a nice afternoon and it was lovely to see her friend again.

Meet the Team (5)

I decided to pursue my dream of working in the care sector and have worked in Forensic, ASD and challenging behaviour-based organisations. I then made the decision to move pathways and work within a residential setting. I have been with Runwood Homes since 2021. I started as a Deputy Manager at Rose House and quickly progressed to home manager. I am now the Registered Home Manager for Laureate Court and have been at the home since July 2022.
I have never felt so supported as I do with Runwood Homes; they are not just my work colleagues, it feels like one big family.

Hi, my name is Angie, and I have had the privilege of working in the care industry for the past 13 years across various care settings. Throughout my career, I can honestly say that Laureate Court has been the best place I’ve worked. It truly feels like coming to work with your family every day, and that extends to not only the residents but also their families and the staff. The sense of community and care here is unmatched.
In my personal time, I enjoy walking and running, staying active, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I'm John. I am the Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager at Laureate Court.
I joined Laureate Court 3 years ago as Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager. With 30 years of experience as a nurse, predominantly in the care home sector, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. Before my career in healthcare, I worked for 9 years with the Department of Work and Pensions.
What drives me most is spending quality time with the residents and knowing that, no matter how small the act, I’ve made a positive difference in their day. It’s incredibly fulfilling to be part of their journey and provide care that truly matters.

Hi there! I’m Hannah, and I’m passionate about connecting with people and getting to know their stories. My journey started in the domestic field, where I learnt a lot about care, patience, and attention to detail. Over time, I transitioned into an admin role, where I still get to interact with people and make them feel welcome.
One of my favourite things about my job now is spending time chatting with families and learning about the backgrounds and experiences of the residents. I love hearing their stories and understanding what makes each person unique. It’s so rewarding to build these connections.
Outside of work, I’m all about quality time with my 12-year-old. We have a blast together, especially when we're adding to my growing Lego collection. It’s something we both really enjoy, and it’s a great way for us to bond and get creative. I believe in the importance of both professional and personal growth, and I strive to bring that same energy into everything I do.

I'm Sharon. I'm the Lifestyle Coordinator at Laureate Court.
I have had the privilege of working at Laureate Court for nearly 10 years. My journey began as a care assistant, where I spent 3 years supporting residents. After that, I transitioned to the wellbeing team, a role I’ve been in for the past 7 years.
I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. I thrive on the opportunity to bring joy to someone’s day, and every day presents new challenges and rewards. There is no greater satisfaction than seeing a smile on a resident’s face, knowing I’ve contributed to their well-being.
