Ideally situated in the beautiful area of Intake, near Sheffield, Ascot Lodge is a purpose-built care home which offers dementia care.

From Care Assistants and Nurses, to Wellbeing Coordinators and Chefs, each and every member of the team at Ascot Lodge is there to help you or your loved one settle into the home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the care sector, the Home Manager leads the team to ensure every resident is fully supported.

The catering team at Ascot Lodge care home understand the nutritional needs of older people and work hard to not only create delicious meals but also to ensure a lovely dining experience for residents and visitors, all set across a number of welcoming dining areas. The large garden and patio area is also perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining during the warmer months.

The dedicated and professional care team seek to learn about each resident’s hobbies and interests, allowing them to design a comprehensive and varied activity programme, supporting residents to lead an active life where there is always something to look forward to.

Home from home, all staff are very attentive and alert to all residents' needs. Activity very good, days out, singing, fun and games for all. Good record keeping on residents, showers, toilets, meds, don't leave residents on their own in the day room, excellent. Very clean. Clean clothes every day,
it's nice to know my husband is safe and well looked after. Excellent food and drinks, plenty. Thank you to all staff, can't improve, perfect.

I have recently visited my friend at this nursing home. On arrival for the first time was greeted by a member of staff in a lovely manner. I also stayed whilst the residents had their lunch, their behaviour and helpfulness was so nice and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is comforting to know
my friend is in such a good place.

Ascot Lodge should be proud of themselves. This place is so welcoming and professional, the pictures about friendliness are wonderful. Your staff really do care and are well trained. Every person I have spoken to outside the home staff ie relatives sing your praises. Keep up your excellent work.

Whenever I visit Ascot Lodge Care Home I always find the staff efficient and very helpful. The residents needs seen to as soon as possible. The cleanliness is very good. One thing that I noticed when visiting I don't get any smells of urine.

Good overall care. My mum is happy and settled here. The staff are all polite and happy in their roles and want to do their best. Some staff go the extra mile, talking to Mum more and joking. The deputy manager is always approachable to talk when needed. Good communication, phone calls when incidents
have happened.

Mum has improved massively in the 6 months since she'd been at Ascot Lodge - she will allow carers to dress her, sit in the lounge, eat in the dining room and will now conduct a conversation. Such a great improvement!

My sincere thanks and love to all the staff at Ascot Lodge Care Home for the love, care, dignity and quality of life given to my wonderful husband during his stay at Ascot Lodge. I, too, have also been given love and friendship from all the staff. I really appreciated it. Thank you. My husband received
"end-of-life care" for Alzheimer's during April and May, 2024. I feel so grateful for everything that has been given to him at the end of his life - sadly, he passed on 10th May, 2024 at 6:15pm.

I think Ascott Lodge is a lovely place, my friend who I visit has settled in very well and is very happy here. The staff are lovely, friendly and very caring, always putting my friend at ease and making sure all her needs are met and nothing is too much trouble. I have joined in the activities with
my friend which she seems to enjoy, especially the coffee mornings with scones, jam and cream.

All day staff go above and beyond every time with all residents and management will go beyond. I feel very secure knowing my mum is totally taken care of and respect is shown to Mum by all care staff I've encountered.

My husband has been in Ascot Lodge Care Home since March 2023, I have no complaints at all. All of the staff, from the manager to the cleaners, kitchen staff and everyone in between are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them.

My Dad has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving at this home the staff are really friendly and caring. He was given a bird feeder to put on his window which he really enjoys being interested in wildlife since an early age, he also has plant pots outside his window and a wild garden, I think that
allowing him to follow his likes has gone a long way towards bringing him on and giving him something to do and I personally think that this is down to the staff and manager

Mum is well cared for in all aspects of care. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, if we have any concerns action is taken to sort any worries we may have. The food is excellent and good quality! Mum's clothes are laundered to perfection, always put away neatly. Our only concern
is the corridor, needs to look more colourful and homely. The room doors could be coloured for individuals.

In relation to your concerns around the environment, hallways in dementia care communities are distinguished by low-arousal colour schemes to aid resident orientation. In dementia care communities ‘natural cues’, such as furnishings, decoration, colour schemes, and even smells are better solutions to disorientation because ‘natural cues’ are less likely to be misunderstood and importantly encourage us to design environments that are meaningful, so for example, a lounge looks like somewhere you would sit, rest and relax and a dining room looks like somewhere you would eat. We would be more than happy to discuss your concerns about the environment. If you feel this would be beneficial, please do contact the Home Manager who would be happy to support you with any questions you might have.

Just had our first meeting with the new manager of Ascot Lodge. She is such an approachable person with wonderful ideas. Welcome to her really refreshing new ideas to make our family member (Mum) feel like home. Staff are all wonderful. Thank you. So blessed to have peace of mind.

My aunt has only been here a couple of months so my review is only for a short period. We didn't get off to a great start but there is now a new manager and I'm impressed things have improved for the best. The staff are very good, friendly and do their best to accommodate my aunt's needs.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jessica has gained more than a decade of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.


Jessica started her career as a Care Assistant and worked her way to Home Manager. She is very passionate about her job and believes in the highest quality
of person-centred care. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jessica remarked: “I get enormous satisfaction from seeing my Residents and Colleagues laughing and smiling together,”


Outside of work, Jessica enjoys getting out in the countryside with her family and her little dog.
