My mother Catherine is an unwilling resident of Ascot Lodge. She has late stage dementia. Catherine was committed there in November 2024, following a vile and untruthful allegation made against myself, her son.
The recently appointed manager of Ascot Lodge, I find personally odious.
Catherine is now on a path towards death. I want to visit her on weekends, as well as weekdays. The sparkling new manageress stated to me: "I won't change the visiting agreement you signed last summer."

That agreement was signed under conditions I consider blackmail.

My Sister and I choose Ascot Lodge to provide care for my mother in September 2025. She was suffering with the final stages of Dementia / Alzheimer's and we knew that Ascot Lodge specialised in this type of care. All the dealings we had with HC-One (parent company) and the home itself were excellent and very professional.

Although my mothers time at the home was short (Sept 25 - end Jan 26) we never had any problems and all the staff were professional and, most importantly, caring and considerate to my mother at all times. We visited my mother regularly and also found that the staff were welcoming to us and nothing was too much trouble for them.

I would certainly recommend this home to others thinking of putting their love ones into care. You can be certain that the staff at Ascot Lodge will always do everything they can for their residents.

Home from home, all staff are very attentive and alert to all residents' needs. Activity very good, days out, singing, fun and games for all. Good record keeping on residents, showers, toilets, meds, don't leave residents on their own in the day room, excellent. Very clean. Clean clothes every day, it's nice to know my husband is safe and well looked after. Excellent food and drinks, plenty. Thank you to all staff, can't improve, perfect.

I have recently visited my friend at this nursing home. On arrival for the first time was greeted by a member of staff in a lovely manner. I also stayed whilst the residents had their lunch, their behaviour and helpfulness was so nice and nothing is too much trouble for them. It is comforting to know my friend is in such a good place.

Ascot Lodge should be proud of themselves. This place is so welcoming and professional, the pictures about friendliness are wonderful. Your staff really do care and are well trained. Every person I have spoken to outside the home staff ie relatives sing your praises. Keep up your excellent work.

Good overall care. My mum is happy and settled here. The staff are all polite and happy in their roles and want to do their best. Some staff go the extra mile, talking to Mum more and joking. The deputy manager is always approachable to talk when needed. Good communication, phone calls when incidents have happened.

Mum has improved massively in the 6 months since she'd been at Ascot Lodge - she will allow carers to dress her, sit in the lounge, eat in the dining room and will now conduct a conversation. Such a great improvement!

My sincere thanks and love to all the staff at Ascot Lodge Care Home for the love, care, dignity and quality of life given to my wonderful husband during his stay at Ascot Lodge. I, too, have also been given love and friendship from all the staff. I really appreciated it. Thank you. My husband received "end-of-life care" for Alzheimer's during April and May, 2024. I feel so grateful for everything that has been given to him at the end of his life - sadly, he passed on 10th May, 2024 at 6:15pm.

I think Ascott Lodge is a lovely place, my friend who I visit has settled in very well and is very happy here. The staff are lovely, friendly and very caring, always putting my friend at ease and making sure all her needs are met and nothing is too much trouble. I have joined in the activities with my friend which she seems to enjoy, especially the coffee mornings with scones, jam and cream.

My Dad has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving at this home the staff are really friendly and caring. He was given a bird feeder to put on his window which he really enjoys being interested in wildlife since an early age, he also has plant pots outside his window and a wild garden, I think that allowing him to follow his likes has gone a long way towards bringing him on and giving him something to do and I personally think that this is down to the staff and manager

Mum is well cared for in all aspects of care. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, if we have any concerns action is taken to sort any worries we may have. The food is excellent and good quality! Mum's clothes are laundered to perfection, always put away neatly. Our only concern is the corridor, needs to look more colourful and homely. The room doors could be coloured for individuals.
